We were given King size rooms unexpectedly which was a nice touch. The rooms were very clean and spacious with a nice bathroom including lovely toiletries. I had previously given feedback that some water in the room would be appreciated and I was pleased to see that this has now been included alongside a nice selection of items to make hot drinks. A welcome drink on check in continues to be a nice touch. Breakfast was ample with a good selection to suit all tastes.

We enjoyed dinner in the Castle restaurant but decided against dessert as the prices were prohibitive.

Extra charge for parking in their own carpark- seems unnecessary and irritated me on arrival

A small issue with the room on arrival but when we raised the issue with reception, they very quickly, and without question, changed us to a different room which was very much appreciated. Staff couldn't have been more helpful. Location of hotel was absolutely perfect for exploring the town. Complimentary drink on arrival was a nice touch.

Fresh section of breakfast was good, but the cooked element was a little greasy, and the bacon was very over cooked both mornings. Was surprised to be told on arrival that the car park was £5 per night. Felt it should have been included in room rate.

Unisex toilets on ground floor

The reception was easy to find and check in was quick. The staff were friendly and polite. The room was lovely and spacious and very clean. Beds were so comfy. We had a great view on to the Victorian garden. Breakfast was good and there was a lot of choice between cooked, pastries, cold meats and cheese and cereals. We had a few drinks in the Coachhouse bar which was really nice and again the staff were great.

There was a bit of space under the door which meant the room was well lit from the main hallway and not dark during the night. A door excluder attached to the bottom would help.

It was perfectly located in the Main Street of Pitlochry. Easy walking distance to all the local attractions, shops and restaurants. Easily accessible from the train station if you were to travel by train. It has lots of rooms but did not feel overcrowded or noisy. Our room was in a quiet part looking out onto the garden and train station. Breakfast was booked so it was never too busy and lots of food choice to suit everyone. All the staff were friendly and helpful.

My only small thing was the room we were in at the back of the hotel got very hot with the sun shining in it all day. The window did open but its design meant it swung opened fully which didn’t feel particularly safe.

The location is superb and, as we were visiting for the Enchanted Forest, it simply couldn't have been better. Breakfast is also excellent with a good range of options and unlimited buffet service. Standards of cleanliness throughout are exemplary, even if some areas are in need of refurbishment. Loved the fact that the in-room hospitality tray included my favourite Rooibos tea - not something I have found in any other hotel.

My room clearly needed refurb; my friend's room was great and had obviously been updated. I had a double bed, but it seemed to have two mattresses, joined in the middle and was very uncomfortable. All of the yoghurts at breakfast were either low fat or fat free, neither of which is particularly healthy (or enjoyable). A plain, Greek yoghurt would have made a great addition and completed a perfect range of breakfast options.

The location was ideal. For the hotel’s age, it was very comfortable and quiet and spacious for European standards!

I could not get a comfortable water temperature for my shower; it was either scolding hot or freezing cold! And at breakfast, three families had iPhones or tablets for their young children to watch without headphones! It was very noisy and shame on the parents for not being more courteous to others. Just like on airplanes, I think the servers/hotel staff should have asked the parents to have the kids put on headphones or turn off the volume. I’ve never seen anything like this at a restaurant .. is this the new norm in the UK?

We stayed at this hotel some years ago on route to the far North/West so knew, roughly, what to expect. Our room was very spacious and quiet, 302, and faced South towards Perth and the hilly countryside- lovely. We did experience one small issue at breakfast which was resolved quickly and sorted out very satisfactorily by the front reception staff -- please convey our thanks. My breakfast had a tortoise and hare moment without the tortoise!! Would we recommend this hotel to others-- yes without hesitation.

It would be difficult to name any specific issues, the hardest part was leaving the hotel and Pitlochry and the friendly attitude of ALL members of staff at Fisher's Hotel.

The location is excellent, in the centre of Pitlochry. Also I arrived by train and the hotel is only a 5 minute walk away. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was spacious, tastefully decorated with a view of the garden. The bed was super comfy. It was hot weather but the fact that the window opened wide and there was a fan meant that the room did not get over-stuffy. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious with a really good choice.

The coffee mugs in the room had stains on the inside and outside - not washed? A minor complaint which was easily rectified.
