The owner of the guest house was exceptionally friendly, talkative and funny which made us feel very welcome. Room was very clean and well presented, i would say very good value for money. Location is very close to city centre, pub and a gym. When booking I accidentally booked for separate beds, but on arrival he offered to swap the rooms to a double that was not booked that night which was very nice. Will definitely stay again and pay visit, next time i’m planning on visiting plymouth.

Next time would appreciate some free slippers, use of the oven, microwave and to keep all my food in the fridge larger towels and huge discounts 😂 (inside joke) Na it was wonderful the only thing i could say was the tv signal seemed a bit fussy on a few channels but wasn’t much of an issue as 99% of them worked

Stayed over one night to attend a concert very close by! I was meet by a lovely gentleman who I believe was the owner and found him very friendly and great conversation with him about the concert I was attending he had a great wealth of info about the concerts being held near by! So big thank you to him for the warm welcome and chat!

The room was clean and the bed comfortable. We were met on arrival and shown where to park and made to feel very welcome. We will.most certainly come back and stay here again.

The shower was not the best it was either hot or cold and not alot of ppwer to it. But it was not the end of the world for us.

The rooms were tidy, although small just big enough to accommodate 2 people with lots of storage for clothes. Communal bathroom and shower was very clean too.

Personal preference, bed was a bit too soft for me. But couldn't fault anything else.

Jeffrey and Maria and their cleaning staff were exceptional they were very Friendly and Polite from the start. You were allowed to come and go as you pleased. The Rooms were cleaned every day and I would recommend to others especially as it is so close to the City Centre and the Hoe. A big THANKYOU.

Jeffrey and Maria were both lovely. Very friendly and helpful and went out of their way to assist me late at night with parking. Would definitely recommend. Being a woman travelling alone I felt safe and looked after.

Jeffrey and the cleaners provide an exceptional service. Very clean, comfortable, flexible with my needs and perfect location with parking. I would just like to say thank you personally and publicly for your help in accomodating me the last 9 days. Amazing little guest house and will recommend to anyone and everyone visiting Plymouth. Friendly service, goes above and beyond for his guests, clean, providing: shower gel, hand wash kettle in room, biscuits, tea coffee, iron & board, white fluffy towels. The guest house is a 2 minute walk (if that) from the hoe & Plymouth sound (slight incline), pub 30 seconds (decline) walk (the walrus) in the 9 days I stayed there including weekends didn't hear anything from the pub or revelers. Short walk to the Barbican, city centre, shops and restaurants.

No breakfast at the moment but completely understandable running a guest house pretty much on his own. I would love to visit and try one when they do start doing them though.

The Caledonia Guest House is exceptional in every way and just as advertised on booking .com. I felt very welcomed by Jeffrey on arrival and the whole place is just run very professionally. Room was very clean and I was always asked if things were OK. Fantastic location for walking around the Hoe Cliff face & Barbican area. Great place and would highly recommend it to any traveler. Thanks for the hospitality, Jeff & Maria.

Breakfast not available at present. Comfy bed, great pillows, comfy chair for reading, spotlessly clean room with homely touches, pleasant welcome and helpful staff. Pleasant residential street 5 minutes from the Hoe, and a short distance from the city centre, so a good location.

The only negative is that the soundproofing between rooms is poor, so I could hear background talking and TV from the adjacent room, plus the door hinges to the adjoining room need oiling.
