The room was great, really clean and there were plenty of towels and toiletries available. I was also very grateful there was a hair dryer in the room as well as I had forgotten mine! The breakfast was amazing, cooked to perfection and really good portion sizes. There was also a good selection of juices available. The coffee machine wasn't working unfortunately but we were asked whether we wanted a coffee from the pub downstairs which was a great offer but we were happy with the juices! The location was perfect for us, right on the Barbican and only a 5 minute walk to the Aquarium, 10 minutes to Plymouth Hoe, and 15 minutes to the Plymouth Pavilions where we went for a show. The B&B is located next to some bars and nightclubs but there were earplugs available for us in the room but we didn't need them as there was a TV in the room which helped us fall asleep. The staff were lovely and we were asked several times whether we needed anything extra (we didn't!) and if there were any issues (there weren't!). We would definitely stay here again, thank you!

Nothing, we were really happy with our stay! The stairs to the rooms may be difficult for people with limited mobility as they're quite steep and the ceilings are low, but this wasn't an issue for us.

We have stayed many times in the last 5 years … location excellent. We had to cancel in December due to my husband having to have an emergency procedure on his foot 2 days prior to our arrival date & after numerous txts & phone calls & got told by a member of staff to cancel our booking & we will not be charged , the manager did NOT reply & we got charged the full amount even though we just wanted to change our dates which we did & still stayed again as we love it there.

The constant sound from the night club next door room 6 …if you don’t mind BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM all night long till 3 in the morning then don’t stay here. Done my head in.

The size of the room and bathroom were fantastic ,decor is nicely done! Location is perfect .Very comfortable bed and all extras have been really thought out ! Shampoos etc .very quiet despite the lovely location ! Breakfast was lovely and lots of choice .

Lack of attentive staff .Having to ask a couple of times for buffet breakfast items ,another couple has to ask immediately after us for different items .Standing at the bar whilst staff congregated in the back even though we had been noticed .Just seemed a lack of customer and hospitality training overall.

A lovely building with quirky corridors and low ceilings and lots of fire doors. What a great location overlooking the harbour. Seperate door for access yo accomodation versus the pub. The room had everything advertised and was a reasonable size. There was a fridge which we wanted. Loads of history and restaurants and fantastic pubs and cafes very very close.

Room 2 the fridge doesn’t work very well. There are a lot of entertainment venues in proximity. So it was quite noisy outside the room until about 10:30pm The breakfast was ok. I would prefer no breakfast and a keener price on the room.

Sometimes the pictures you see when booking isnt usually what you get. With The Three Crowns you get everything and more. We were very comfortable and all that we needed. The breakfast choices were fantastic and quality of the food was on point. We visit Plymouth every year and The Three Crowns will definitely be a go to everytime, that is unless it is fully booked. Staff were great and informative. Willow the Owner and Manager is superb. Nothing is too much and always happy to help.

Although the room we had had great views we had the noise from the harbour as well as the club next door. I was happy to meditate and get some sleep but my partner struggled. Ear plugs were available in the room if required. The room was very hot however an AC unit was supplied.

Excellent location right in the heart of the Barbican, plenty of things to do and see in the area lots of places to eat and drink. Room well appointed with excellent facilities tea/coffee a small fridge and tv and a great view of the harbour, bathroom bright and area large shower and toiletries provided. Breakfast served on the first floor with a good choice on the menu as well as cereals., yoghurts and fruit. Staff polite and friendly throughout the stay. Couple of things to be aware of there is no lift and car parking there is one opposite but not very big £13:50 for 24hrs must be booked using an app. A brilliant stay this is the only place I would stay in the future.

Nothing all good.

Central location, not far from the train station, which is great for a wander around the harbour and lively with plenty of options for dinner/dinks. The second room single room I stayed in was nicely decorated a generally very clean, nice en suite bathroom and very comfortable. Great breakfast on first floor away from the pub downstairs and really friendly staff.

Is a lively location and popular pub which meant there was some noise in the evening - stayed on a Wednesday night during the Euro football semi-finals so lots of people out celebrating. It didn't go on too late but my sleep was interrupted by the room being very warm. Not wanting to open the window due to the noise, there was an AC unit but it was too loud to sleep with it on. Was good for an overnight stay.

The staff were really helpful and friendly and the room was spotless. Tanya was especially helpful at breakfast and in helping me get a taxi. Excellent coffee! Also the room was very well equipped: as well as the usual TV and tea/coffee making facilities there was a hairdryer, iron, and ironing board.

The location is extremely noisy at night - very loud, booming music until the small hours, so this is not the place to stay if you want a peaceful night! . It was a hot night and the noise meant I couldn't have my window open. There was an air conditioner but that, too, was very noisy. Breakfast was ok - service was good. Some elements in the cooked breakfast were either not very fresh or swimming in oil so perhaps a little attention needed there.

Location excellent, room lovely, as described. Comfy bed, nice bathroom, water pressure in the shower a little low, but we were in the attic. Breakfast choices very good, especially as my husband is vegan. Also, oat milk provided in the room which is a first for us, brilliant. It can be noisy outside as it's a popular area of the Barbican. Didn't bother us at all, although they do provide earplugs if needed.

It's a busy pub and there's no seperate area to check in other than over the bar. We couldn't check in early, fair enough, which meant because of the event we were at we had to book in much later, then had to queue at the even busier bar to check in. Maybe a sign at one side of the bar for guests to check in so staff are aware you're not just a customer. (if there is one we didn't spot it)

Appearance from outside very attractive. Staff welcoming and friendly. Bar and lounge spacious and inviting. Character and warmth with modern touch. Good menu at reasonable prices. Room was lovely. Very clean and comfortable. En-suite very nice. Bed very comfortable. Views of Marina and Barbican from dual aspect. Great price for excellent place to stay.

Quite a deep step down on entrance doorway. Unseen due to carrying of bags on arrival. Bad fall. Injuries. Staff very good. Comfort and cup of tea given.
