Great location, nice view over the harbourside. Outside seating area for drinks from the bar next to Mayflower Steps. Generous, if unexciting tea/coffee tray. Comfortable bed. Plenty of hangers for clothes.

Very small bathroom, could have done with some hooks on the back of the door. Wifi not great, kept cutting out, meaning I had to sign in again. The stairs leading down to the entrance door were difficult to negotiate, especially with luggage (although to be fair we were offered help with luggage when we arrived). No handrail on the bottom part of the stairs, which could cause difficulties for anyone older with knee trouble.

Brilliant location, directly opposite the Mayflower Steps at the Barbican. The pub is also really good - choice of locals ales, smart with food and staff put the FAC game on for us, being away from home!

Nothing, actually to not like too much. Room rather dingy in comparison to smart pub downstairs. Don't usually watch tv when staying away in hotels - but trying to watch said football, couldn't as channels froze every few seconds. No breakfast, parking conveniently a short walk along the road - though rather pricey! Nevertheless, room rate reflects this.

1 - location was great, close to the shops bars restaurants but far enough away not to be in the thick of it 2 - clean basic & everything worked 3 - if we needed new or extra towels, toilet rolls & coffee/tea/sugar/milk pots then it was no problem 4 - bathroom was just right, clean fairly new, shower worked well & the water was nice & hot 5 - close to parking area, we managed to park about 20 yards away from the property in a pay to park space. 6 - effortless key hand over….told the lady in the admiral McBride we had a booking, gave her my name, she gave me the key with info on how to enter the property and that was it.

Nothing to dislike about the property…but…I’ve just got to say, as our room (No5) looked out onto the street you can hear late night goings on from people going home from a night out (not a problem for us) & cars going at breakneck speed up the hill which starts outside the property, let me stress that it’s not all night, just every now and again & it wouldn’t stop us from booking this property again.

Location location location! Opposite Mayflower steps about 20m away. Viewed from our room . Nice and warm in our room considering it was cold outside during our stay. light and airy given it was a small. room. It is a very old historic building.

Bar prices were very high and it was almost always empty during our stay with no atmosphere. Few offers e.g. happy hours ,2 for 1s etc that other bars seem to offer. In a way that helped us as our room was above the bar and so there was little no noise to disturb us. Nevertheless it would have been nice to sit in the bar late on for a nightcap after a day exploring No breakfasts but there were a couple of great cafes a few yards away one in particular doing great coffee and plenty of breakfast options.

The location was just perfect, myself and my young daughter was very happy with the room, it served us well...within walking distance to the aquarium and the beautiful surrounding area. For the price we payed we would definitely consider returning. Thank you

There was a few little things ( the stability of the stool.-.wobbly legs. , some of the wall was crumbling - could do with a freshen up with paint) we did notice the main ceiling light wasn't working but as we only stayed one night we just used the side lamps

The furniture was of good quality, the decor was beautifully neutral and relaxing. The bathroom included a shower which worked perfectly. Had coffee/tea, hairdryer, towels etc.. and more than enough to not have to ask for extra. The room and ensuite was extremely clean and very comfortable. Our room had a sea view, right on the doorstep. It was absolutely gorgeous 😍. Close to everything we wanted to do during our stay on the barbican. It was surprisingly very quiet considering it is in a prime location, we slept very very well. Easy access with our own key, no fuss check-in and no fuss check-out, no interruptions during our stay. Very good communication with Steve, the owner - via messages from before, all the way through to after our stay. If we needed anything, someone was readily available to answer. We needed nothing though, everything was perfect.

There is nothing at all that I could say negatively about our stay. It exceeded our expectations as we have never stayed here before now. Everything was perfect 👌

Location perfect to see all the main attractions and access to eateries as the Pub did not provided Breakfast. Great view from rooms over the harbour, away from the crowded streets.

Parking charges were a lot more than the venue advertised. We paid £20 for our overnight stay and afternoon parking. There is no next door cafe advertised by venue. The nearest cheap breakfast deal is Weatherspoons which is a 10 minute walk. Correct information would give the potential guest the full picture, so this needs to be actioned on.

The reception by the staff was very friendly and efficient. The location was ideal for my purposes. The room and bathroom were very clean and tidy.

The handles on the wardrobe doors were missing. They are held closed by strong magnetic catches. It took a little while for me to work out a way to open them. The power shower appeared to have no functioning electrical supply so although the shower worked, it was not “powered” as such. The lid on the kettle was jammed shut making it hard to fill. I spent several minutes successfully fixing the lid to make it functional again.

Helpful staff. Arrived early, able to leave luggage till we were able to book in. When we came back, the staff had taken our luggage to our room. Excellent view of harbour. Ideal location for bars/restaurants. Comfortable bed. En-suite facilities. Very reasonably priced. Separate entrance to accommodation

Slightly dated decor. Not double glazed windows. Traffic noise and revellers noise, although when we returned just before midnight it was fairly quiet. Shower very slippy. Rubber bath mat would have helped.

The price for the location was absolutely amazing. The room was a decent size. We loved being right above a pub and close to so many cafes and shops. The place was also very clean and the staff were friendly.

The only area of concern was the plumbing. We came up with the nickname of "Demon Toilet". Everytime anyone flushed, it was so loud that we swore the room shook a little bit. Even if the toilet was flushed in another room, we could hear it and it was loud enough to wake us up.
