The properties (there are three buildings from what I saw) are well situated, within walking distance to the beach/pier (literally 2 minutes by taxi which was just under £5). The breakfast was very good with quality vege/vegan options (which you don’t see often). The staff were friendly and polite and as I arrived, a lot of people turned up at the same, they called in more front of house staff to deal with the customers (which I don’t see happen very often). I was in a single room, it was small and functional, which was reflected in the price. The complimentary items in the room were helpful. They even hair conditioner with complimentary shower items (again, not something I often see in small hotels). Bed was comfy, the building is set off of the main road and I heard no noise outside on the street (with my window open), so it being in a residential area definitely ensures the noise level is minimal. Top tip: to stop the light coming through the gap between the frame and blind, push the blind flush against the window and put the tv remote against it, buttons facing down.

Even though it was a single room and the reasons for not having extra doors in a small space are obvious, I’d have liked a bathroom door as everything is visible through the window in this small room. I pulled the blind down to avoid anyone seeing in as I was rushing to get ready.

Arrival/welcome was very positive. Staff were friendly and super helpful. I found parking outside my hotel unit quite easily. The breakfast was very good. I had poached eggs on toast (very nice) and a pot of coffee (excellent coffee) sitting outside on their terrace in the sunshine. Very relaxing, quick and friendly service. The bed was very comfortable. Nice duvet and lovely bedding. Selection of coffees/teas was good and the Lakeland milk sachets are so much better than the long life pots.

The shower was basic, the shower head didn't sit properly on the holder but it was ok. The toilet didn't flush very well. I'm surprised this hasn't been sorted. But there was an additional toilet down the stairs. I would prefer a mug - as I think it's a better idea than tiny cups and saucers, but understand that's just personal preference.

The room was very well presented and very clean, top marks to your cleaning crew. The property was ideally placed for access to the sea front.

The property is split across several different buildings within a residential area with permit parking only, unless you have reserved (limited) parking at an extra fee. I thankfully managed to get onto the front of the reception area parking so my car was off the road. The window in the room also didn't latch shut properly and although I mentioned it at check out I didn't leave feeling it would actually be repaired as it looked like it had been faulty for some time and that others had tried to fix it.

Great location near the seaside and close to a variety of restaurants, also convenient to the university as we were in town for graduation. Very clean throughout and super helpful staff. Lovely dinner at The Garden.

The bathroom sink in our accommodation was beyond small - I saw this in other reviews prior to booking but couldn’t believe the size, very difficult to even wash your hands properly. Otherwise the property was great. Breakfast offered a nice variety of meals but disappointing with the lack of fruit (only a melon option on the menu or yogurt option but it was the main item, not a complicated to what you are offered) and bread/toast not offered automatically which seemed odd, although when asked they did bring you a single slice.

The breakfast menu was excellent and catered for all tastes and ages. The price of breakfast for a room only was very reasonable.

The free street parking was a little inconvenient and we would recommend payment for the gated car parking. The en suite in our room was a bit cramped and the shower tap very hard to turn. Just needs some maintenance. Otherwise everything was excellent.

Fantastic service from the staff - without me asking I was politely and efficiently offered an alternative room based on a disability I have which was noticed. Whilst I didn't need to be helped in this way, it was a very welcome offer, and was handled discretely and professionally. Room was warm, comfortable and everything I need as a solo traveller. Very comfortable bed, high quality shower.

Nothing!

We had a lovely stay here and would stay again. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the location was great, perfect for what we needed as close to King's Theatre and lots of restaurants. The area was also quiet. The bed exceptionally comfortable, we had a great night's sleep. The facilities were good too and the room was very nicely decorated.

If I had to pick something I suppose it would be that the bathroom and shower were a bit small but that wasn't really a problem for us and the shower was nice in terms of temperature and pressure. You could also hear people going in and out of their rooms but again, this wasn't really a problem for us.

Had a 1 night stay with my family,at The Stattons Boutique, with a dog friendly hotel,it was a lovely place to stay. Our room was very handy on the ground floor and being so near to the car park with safety gates ( £15 ) a day, which is optional, we could keep an eye on the car. The staff were warm and friendly on checking in and asked if there was anything else they could do. I would recommend this hotel, if you are visiting South-Sea.

I thought the price for dog was a bit pricey, as he was no trouble.

Good size room. No noise at night. 24 hour access . Good housekeeping as room was changed daily.. large shower cubicle

Number 11 toilet was too high as a base had been added hence lifting the whole unit . Not great unless you're 6 foot tall. Concertina door into the bathroom kept getting stuck at the bottom , altho it seemed to have been repaired but actually wasn't. Cold water tap leaked and wouldn't close properly.

Attractive large room, comfortable bed and good breakfast served by helpful and attentive staff. We asked for an extra duvet and one was delivered very quickly. The location was excellent, just a short walk from Southsea seafront.

The bathroom was small (couldn't do much about that). We could have done with an extra hand towel for two of us and extra body wash, shampoo and conditioner for a 3 night stay. The car park was awkward to get into and out of.
