Breakfast was delicious. Served from 08:00 which is good for work travellers. Breakfast arrived with sumptuous stuffed croissants and my choice of poached eggs on focaccia with Parma ham was perfect and plentiful. The staff were efficient and friendly and a perfect level of interaction. The room was super clean and modern. Bed really comfortable along with the pillows. Good walk in shower with lots of room. And the usual teas coffees and homemade biscotti in jars was a real treat after a long drive. Also a mini fridge with fresh milk and water was much appreciated. The evening meal in the restaurant was delicious. I'll stay again when working in the area. Residents parking on site was great to find.

Nothing not to like. The picture frame smart TV was a bit high on the wall but ok to watch from the bed. If I had to be picky and if you like sitting in a lounge area at a hotel, this restaurant with rooms would not be for you. For me though it was great.

Nice friendly welcome on arrival ,the room was nice and clean modern and as expected from the time of booking. The breakfast was Italian style and absolutely lovely nothing was too much trouble and the staff were great . Evening meal in the restaurant again was lovely. I'm struggling to find fault without being petty. Would highly recommended a stay here , york is 35 mins away by car as we used this as a base . The Free onsite parking makes things easy . Would definitely return again and recommend this as a place to stay.

Only down side is the bed was to soft for me but that's absolutely my personal preference not the hotels fault.

This was a short trip away to celebrate my birthday. Neither my husband or I had been to Ripon before so we were not sure what to expect. The staff were excellent, the room was spacious, comfortable and very clean. Breakfast was absolutely fantastic with really good choices. Totally different from the normal offerings at other establishments. The evening meals were outstanding too, food presentation and value for money 10/10. I would not hesitate in recommending Valentino's to anyone. A bonus to be able to park in a busy centre too. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff members. We also had a meal at their sister property The Water Rat, a short stroll along the river. Equally as good food and excellent staff too. Thank you so much for a really lovely stay and we will definitely be returning in the future. Ripon is very lucky to have a place like yours!!!

I can't think of anything negative to say about Valentino's.

An absolute gem of a place. Beautiful building, amazing food and a fabulous location with so much to see and do. The rooms are gorgeous. Spotless, with lovely decor and carefully considered touches to make your stay really pleasant and comfortable. There’s even a private car park right next door too, meaning travelling there is super simple and hassle free. The unique selling point however is the staff - everyone who works here is so friendly, attentive and helpful. A personal shout out to Rick for arranging a birthday surprise for my other half which surpassed all expectations and was delivered with a genuine warmth and thoughtfulness that took it to another level. Another mention must go to the young man who served us breakfast. He was a real credit to the people who had trained him - and also his parents. I hope my sons grow up to be as polite and professional as he is!

Excellent overall experience. Staff extremely welcoming and friendly. The breakfasts were brilliant and so different to most hotels eg steak and eggs marvellous. We did not have dinner but next time we will as food looked extremely good when we had a drink in the bar. Excellent location with parking.

We booked the cosy room which was absolutely fine and excellent value for money. Very comfortable bed and modern on suite. However as OAP’s next time we will book a larger room to ensure ease of access to either side of the bed.

In looking up places in Ripon, the city seemed to be slightly down at heel, and the rooms above an Italian restaurant seemed to be a bit of a risk...it was a risk worth taking. The whole experience was delightful, family run, the staff were welcoming and friendly. The room was all we could wish for, clean comfortable, well appointed, we slept like logs. The restaurant was a cut above the 'average' Italian, it was excellent. We had dinner there. The following morning breakfast (in Italian manner) was equally excellent, Highly recommended.

It was a hot day and the room was pretty warm, but provided with a very efficient and quiet fan unit which ensured good air circulation during the night. The room faced a busy road, but we found the traffic noise not so much of an issue as it has been in many other places we stayed, even though the city suffers a disproportionate number of 'farting car' enthusiasts.

Room was very pleasing to the eye and comfortable. Had everything you need, small fridge, homemade biscuits, lovely little coffee machine etc. Bathroom was lovely. Bed was extremely comfy A plus was the info sheet,very handy . They have thought of everything. Lots of sockets . And breakfast was fit for a king. The young lady serving was very nice. The family should be proud of what they have. Another plus we were allowed in room at 12 o clock as it was ready with no further cost. We will def be back 👍

The room was lovely, and we even had a small fridge with fresh milk and quality waters in. Had lunch on arrival, and it was very tasty. The nice waitress let us check in early, which allowed us time to wander around the square before going to the races. Had a great night's sleep, and the 11am checkout was relaxing. Breakfast was amazing, there were 2 different homemade savoury croissants, and we then had poached eggs with smoked salmon, fresh juice, and great coffee. The young man serving us was a credit to the business.Highly recommended.

It's on a busy corner, so there is a little traffic noise but it didn't bother us as its location is great.

I could charge my car on the private parking, which was a relief after a couple of non working chargers on my long way to Ripon. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Super modern bathroom with everything you need. Excellent a la carte breakfast. The filled croissants are amazing and the home made muesli with yoghurt and fruit a great start of your day. Very good Italian restaurant by the way for dinner!!

A little noisy from the street but maybe they have also rooms on the other side.

Beautiful room in city centre. Noisy with traffic during the day but not busy road at night. In an old building with stairs( no lift). No problem for us but worth pointing out for other visitors. Huge comfortable bed, modern shower room . Room had everything you could think of for lovely stay. Situated above good Italian restaurant which cooked everything from scratch. Delicious breakfast which couldn't be faulted. Kind, smiley helpful staff. Parking onsite including EV charger. Definitely recommend.
