An amazing old house in the village of Lea. Great character and lovely friendly hosts who couldn’t do enough for you. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order and excellent. Very good quality ingredients. The room was like a home from home, very comfortable and well appointed. Lovely recently renovated bathroom with shower. Plenty of tea and coffee in the room and fantastic phone and tablet chargers ! A great place to stay when visiting the beautiful Countryside of the Wye valley and particularly Ross-on-Wye.

The bedroom window faced the busy road through the village and car headlights shone directly in. Perhaps some additional blinds or a black out blind would be helpful ?

We were very warmly welcomed by the hosts to this lovely property with a superb garden. The room was lovely, comfortable and well appointed. The downstairs lounge was charming with amazing and interesting collectibles and furnishing. The host recommended a fantastic Indian restaurant who actually delivered our take away food to us with the host supplying the cutlery & crockery, glasses etc saving us having to go out. There is a village convenience shop across the road which sells beers and wine too. We enjoyed a perfect evening after a most interesting guided tour around the gardens from the owner. A great choice of B & B with a perfect breakfast. Thanks to our hosts.

The breakfasts were excellent, with a great choice of menu. The owners were very welcoming and friendly and helpful. Although the house is not in a town, the buses to Ross, Hereford and Gloucester stop right outside, and despite my room facing the A40, it was really quiet.

I missed a radio, but most guests would use their mobile, so not a big problem, and other's radios can be a problem. After a very long journey, it would have been nice if there had been somewhere close to get a hot meal, but with a kettle in my room and a shop across the road, it was only an issue the 1st night.

Having had a terrible journey to get to Lea guest house due to traffic issues, we were greeted by Andy, who showed us around this amazing house, so full of character and charm. The following morning we were greeted by Sophie, who made us a wonderful breakfast and made us feel we were family. Sophie and Andy made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble for them.

There was nothing to dislike.

Everything was brilliant, the room was clean, large and beautifully decorated. It was lovely to have complimentary proper tea and coffee and bottled water. The breakfast was superb, my husband had an excellent cooked breakfast and I loved the homemade granola. We were made to feel very welcome from the minute we arrived and would definitely stay here again.

The innkeeper Andy and his wife Sophie were very kind and accommodating- they allowed my mum and her dog to join me on short notice for the second night of my stay, and were present on both arrival and departure to help with the tight parking situation - in the rain no less! Very kind people taking good care of their guests. Sophie's breakfasts were fab as were the nearby nature walks.

The decor was of eclectic taste, and I was asked not to run the bath on account of cost. The 500 year-old building had some phantom residents as to be expected. All in all a full-spectrum experience.

Place was really clean and welcoming. Lovely fire in the living room. Bedroom was really comfortable. A beautiful ensuite with piping hot water. The breakfast was excellent and the hosts couldn't have been more helpful. All in all a great stay and a very reasonable price. Thoroughly recommended.

What a lovely couple a very warm welcome beautiful 16th century house nice cosy big bedroom lovely setting in the village . The breakfast was one of the best I've ever had,will definitely be looking at staying again. Thanks

The rain ,but the accommodation made up for that.

Excellent situation, besides the A40, giving us easy access to nearby destinations, but very quiet outside of the rush hour. Superb breakfast and hosts. Lots of sightseeing assistance and we were made to feel very welcome. we would not hesitate to stay with Sophie and Andy again and would heartily recommend them to family and friends.

A lovely home-from-home with large rooms, we had a double room and a twin, excellent amenities and a fantastic breakfast. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and accommodating. Their thoughtful consideration in the decoration and additional extras around the property make it a very comfortable stay.
