lovely country pub serving fantastic food with really friendly staff! the chef (Scot I think his name was) not only serves up amazing food, he belts out 70’s classics like he was born in the wrong decade! then the bar staff join in and you have an impromptu karaoke night, the room was very clean, has everything you need to make your stay comfortable, was a bit warm but it’s walls are about 3 foot thick and we were staying during a heat wave so can’t complain about that, the windows are huge so we had them open all night
honestly, nothing!!

Very cozy and quaint building and the room, lovely staff made us feel welcome, the dinner in the inn was delicious.
There wasn't any shower gel replaced in the bathroom and we didn't have any with us. The room is small, so just enough for one night stay but would be too difficult to stay for longer as I couldn't even bring my big suitcase in (left it in the car overnight) as it would take up the entire floorspace. It's not a complaint as I did expect a small size room, just a note for those booking to not bring too much with you as the room is small.

a very nice inn pub the staff was very welcoming and friendly and even was happy to help me if i wanted to changed rooms from shower to a bath one but i was fine to keep shower room the bed was very comfortable i did not want to leave,
there was nothing I didn’t like about apart from i did not know how to get out in the morning or where to leave the key or anything so i unlocked the door opened and the locked it back up and dropped the keys through the letterbox i was waiting as they will see on cctv as i did not want to leave a door unlocked with it being a pub etc but it thats nothing bad just me rather make sure there property was safe and secure :)

The location was perfect for the places we’d planned on visiting which was the main reason we booked at The Crosskeys Inn. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by April who showed us to our room which was as lovely as it looked in the photos we’d seen online. We had dinner downstairs in the main pub which to shortly sum up was absolutely amazing- we couldn’t fault our meals one bit and the service was spot on, for two main meals, puddings and drinks we felt the price we paid was good value for the quality of the food we ate. Me and my wife both had a vegetarian breakfast the following morning which was equally delicious and set us up for the day.
We have no complaints at all from our stay here.

The place had a lovely atmosphere and was very conveniently located off the A40. The food was very good and the bar staff were lovely.
The only issue I had with the room was a lack of shower, I didn't realise that the bath would be in place of the shower rather than in addition, plus it was a bit odd to have the bath in the bedroom. That said, the room was very comfortable. After the stay I have also had great difficulty in getting in contact regarding a VAT receipt, something which we couldn't get at the time as the evening bar staff weren't able to print one and the next morning there was no one there when we checked out.

The staff are very friendly. The location was very easy to find and central to where we wanted to go, and the breakfast was extremely good. It was very good value for money. They were very accommodating and supplied extra pillows as requested. Nothing was a problem - more teabags, milk, coffee easily supplied with a smile.
There wasn't anything we actually didn't like. The room and ensuite was small, but we knew that, the TV was BBC iplayer or Netflix, but we were told about that anyway, there was a party for their anniversary and the music was a little loud, but we had been warned, and there was a Barbeque so we felt part of the celebrations,. Some people may be put off because of the size of the room, but we knew it was small, and there was a hanging rail as there was no room for a wardrobe, but it worked out fine.

The bar was really friendly and lively, the staff made me feel really welcome and it was great to have a few drinks with the locals. Emma, Jess and Scott particularly made an effort to ensure that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The food and the beer was good There was a bath in the room which was lovely to avail of after a long day’s cycling
The building was quite old which meant that there were some issues with the technology (e.g. poor wi-fi signal) There wasn’t any shampoo or soap in the room (only hand wash) You could easily hear the noise from the pub and the other rooms from the room itself

The Crosskeys was a brilliant find for us as we needed to be in Symonds Yat, and the Crosskeys is just an 8 minute drive from there. Check in was quick and easy and the staff were very friendly. The pub itself was very atmospheric with plenty of locals in the bar, plus a wood burning stove made the place welcoming. Our room was small, but it was all that we needed, however a small chair squeezed in somewhere to put your clothes on at night would have been nice. The food was fabulous, we ate in the bar on both evenings of our stay, we weren't disappointed, both meals were well presented and the portion sizes were perfect. Breakfast was good, however there are no choices just a full English plus toast, but we spoke to Ron who is the chef, and asked if we could have scrambled egg on toast instead the next morning, he said it was no problem and that is what we got. Ron is a credit to the Crosskeys, he is very polite and very chatty, also his cooking skills are really good. The bar staff also are very friendly and helpful. When we are next in the area will certainly be staying again, and would highly recommend The Crosskeys.
Our room was a bit noisy from the main road, we live near the M25 so we are fairly used to traffic noise. That said, it wouldn't stop us staying here again.

Lovely homely feel. I was meeting friends for dinner elsewhere but the food on tables looked yum and breakfast was lovely. For the price, room was great. Staff are very welcoming and the room was comfy First time in a while I felt comfortable walking barefooted on a room carpet that isnt my own place- very clean! Also first time I've spent the night away and actually had a comfy sleep on the first night - bed and pillows were very comfy. And there was a fan and blanket to suit temperature requirements of all guests. Really lovely place to stay with so much nearby.
Very small recommendations for change but honestly it's only to improve an already lovely place to stay. Would be good if you had printed breakfast menus so we can order what we like. I felt awful for the waste and if I had the option I'd have ordered less on the plate. I was in an out a lot so felt i was in the way going past the bar. Maybe a side entrance to the rooms? Or alternative to go down the stairs to the side of the building. (no fault at all from the staff with this at all, just my persinality) My room overlooked the back playground area. It woukd be nice to have blinds or netting so I didnt have to close curtains but again, it was private enough and just a recommendation.

Rustic vibes, nice local spot with a comfy and cosy room. staff were very nice, Location is great for what we needed. Although next to motorway it wasn’t loud when in bedroom during the night.
Some of the exposed pipe work in the bathroom was rusty, although to be expected due to the nature of the hotel itself. Morning full English breakfast was good apart from some of the bacon was a little over cooked/ sitting there for a while as was very hard and chewy.
