The room was large as was the Queen Size bed, it had a nice shower & coffee making facilities and it was a very clean establishment. The location was excellent right in the middle of Rye, it was nice & quiet & also dog friendly. The staff were very pleasant & professional and the cooked breakfast was excellent and very filling.

Being pickety, we didn't like the colour of the walls, why black ? It made our room look very dark. Also even though the bed was comfortable the pillows were not, they were far to hard . Finally we paid £20 for our dog to stay but what did she get, no dog bed, not even a sausage for breakfast ! Please if you are going to charge that amount give the dog something!

Lovely little guest house. I paid £135 for a great room (called Crumpet) - my sister’s room was muffin while my brother’s was roly-poly - this obviously made us laugh oh our way back from a wedding. Lovely bath, double bed, extra space for sofa etc. Room was clean, bed was comfy, lovely bath and shower gels. Staff really friendly and kind. Really amazing breakfast included in the price which included fresh juice, tea and a proper helping of delicious buttermilk pancakes. Really good value for money as the breakfast without the room is approx £20. I would also say it’s in a lovely location perfect for the high street or if you are going to a wedding in the area.

Nothing really it was as I expected.

This is a great little hotel in a central location on the High St. Parking was no problem - we parked immediately outside on the opposite side of the road. The manager was there to greet us and show us to our room. The guestroom was spacious and tastefully furnished. I particularly liked the quirkinesses of the architecture which was a combination of a Georgian facade and much earlier interiors. The heating was excellent (we were staying in December) and very responsive. The bed was large and the white linen spotless. The pillows were a little hard for me, but this is a personal preference and no doubt others will have no problem. The breakfast choice was great and the food well cooked and delicious All in all, an excellent stay over - would definitely recommend.

Lovely room and fantastic staff, very clear instructions and quick response back.

It was honestly lovely, the room was spacious and modern, my only issue with it was that we had a dog with us and the property is a very old property and they put us in the roof room which was really difficult to manage to steps as it was on the 3rd floor and the steps up to the room were narrow and rickety and incredibly step. It was difficult for me, let alone with a dog, it might be better to have your dog friendly room with a bit of a better access, perhaps on one of the lower floor rooms.

The hotel was fantastic, the location is right in the heart of Rye and the room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was superb.

Booking.com is fine provided there are no alterations or changes to be made. In this case we needed to remove a child bed from our booking due to a change in circumstances. This lead to having to message the hotel, booking.com, the hotel again, booking.com again. We thought it was sorted but then on the morning of our stay the hotel called to say that booking.com had not formalised the change and therefore the hotel couldn't amend the booking. Calls to booking.com were then needed before it was resolved and the additional cost taken from our bill. The whole issue was a total farce.

The location was absolutely ideal for us, the staff were so lovely, helpful and welcoming and it felt like we were staying with our friends. We were able to check in early which was great as we were going to a wedding, our room (whoopie) is just gorgeous, and I wish we’d had more time to enjoy all the facilities (we did manage to squeeze in some time in the roll top bath which is dreamy 😍). Breakfast the next day was easy, very generous and delicious (thank you for letting me take it away…!!) and overall we just loved our stay and will definitely stay again if we are ever in Rye! Thank you 😊

nothing!

Everything was beautiful, the area, the building, the room and even the breakfast. The check in was fast and they even offered to hold our bags the next day so we could go for a walk after checking out. the food was delicious, the toiletries were great quality and lovely tea and coffee in the room. I would love to stay here again and have already recommended the Whitehouse Rye to my friends.

The stairs are a bit steep, not an issue for us but would not be accessible to some which is a shame as everyone should be able to experience the place! And unfortunately our bed was quite noisy, whenever my partner moved in his sleep I woke up to the noise so wasn’t the best sleep but apart from that it was perfect!

The hotel couldn't be more perfectly located - right on the High Street. The rooms are so lovely - full of character, large and very comfortable. Breakfast is exceptional - the cafe downstairs is wonderful and you can just choose something off the menu. They catered for my vegan Mum, putting oat milk in her room. Just wonderful.

It can't be helped because you're staying right above a working cafe, but it's a little noisy in the morning (after 8am). Very quiet after 4pm though because the cafe closes and everyone goes home, so you'll get a good night's sleep.

Breakfasts were very generous with a good choice. Coffee was excellent. Staff were fabulous from check in to breakfast to check out. Bed was comfortable, and the room was spacious

A bar fridge in the room would be good so that we can keep drinks and milk cold. Parking was a drama as we needed to park for two days. We were not able to download the parking app as our phones were registered in Australia. We ended up managing to pay the parking on line from our room each morning.

The room itself was very comfortable and stylish. It had a large ensuite, with a bathtub that even fit me well at 6'4". Great location in the town center, and very close to Rye station. The Staff were incredibly helpful, always very friendly and accommodating. We arrived at 1pm and they let us check-in straight away. Best of all - the breakfast we had every morning! My partner and I both agreed that this was the BEST breakfast we've ever had included in a stay. Worth it for the food alone.

Nothing, our 3 night stay was perfect.
