Excellent accommodation - we were in one of the lodges, which were a fantastic size and had the bonus of a day bed which was appreciated. The bathroom was very clean, with ample towels and a large shower. The beds were very comfortable with a choice of cushions, pillows and extra blankets which was appreciated. There was room to hang clothes including an ironing board. Breakfast was so tasty, and many options including fresh fruit. Staff were helpful and quick to attend. Really lovely room, easily accessible and free parking - we will definitely be back!

I would have liked to have had a lamp by both beds - perhaps something to consider for a family room having a lamp by the main bed so that if others are on the smaller bed going to sleep, the light can be turned off.

Good value, spacious dog friendly cottage rooms served off the car park. Third visit this year Staff are all very friendly and good food served 7 days a week Superb breakfast and choice Lots of parking. Short walk into the beautiful centre of Rye where you can find the Fletcher's House restaurant. This is a sister business to the King's Head Inn which offers superb food in a unique period property at a reasonable price

Rooms are getting a bit tired and would benefit from double glazing and a refresh

The room was a good size ,out the back in car park . nicely decorated. good breakfasts. nice towels.nice having tea and coffee and biscuits and bottled water.

The king size bed was very soft on one side, seamed like two single beds put together if so one bed was worn out. tv could have been bigger, as it was quite a way from bed! . too many cushions very hot room, hot or off needs new thermostat on radiator. sorry but wasn’t keen on sharing the breakfast room with three dogs! They should have their own section. staff didn’t seam to chat to customers other than serve them.

Each room has a name and it's decorated following that theme. Ours was a beach hut, with a lot of details that the only missing bit was the sound of the waves. Breakfast was great and so the variety for lunch and dinner at the pub. Staff was great and very helpful.

Nothing. The only thing I can think that could have made our stay perfect it would be a place to park our bicycles. We parked them in the terrace as it was not yet being used, but I imagine that when the weather improves it wouldn't be too comfortable for staff and customers having them in the middle.

We booked two rooms and a lodge for our family group and all were absolutely spotless. The lodge was a massive hit with our grandchildren, which meant the parents could chill as well. The location is great - a short and beautiful walk down through the fields and you’re in the centre of Rye, but you’re far enough out not to be stuck in the tourist melee. All the staff were exceptional, no matter what their role. Friendly, engaging and genuinely keen to ensure we enjoyed our stay. Food was great, bar area was lovely.

Absolutely nothing.

The room was lovely not huge but plenty big enough for us. The food at the King's head was wonderful. So much choice at breakfast and such pleasant and helpful staff. We ate at the pub most evenings and the food and service were excellent once again.

I can't really find fault with it. The room was across the car park which might have been a pain in bad weather going for breakfast each morning but it was sunny while we were there so not a problem.

Good choice for both breakfast and dinner. Room was fine although had to ask for heating to be turned on as previous occupants had wanted it turned off. Excellent staff in bar and restaurant.

Having to ask for the heating to be turned on as it was very cold in the evening in our room. Dining tables were a bit small for 4 people at breakfast and use crockery was not collected until after we had finished.

The staff were lovely and so helpful, even doing a special delivery breakfast for our daughter who just missed the main breakfast due to being at the gym across town! The food was great, our log cabin was the furthest away from the road so we had really peaceful nights, and though the inn was quite busy it never felt crowded, there are enough nooks and crannies to sit quietly and have a catch up with family.

Everything went well. Parking was tight when we arrived but then we moved our car to a place right outside the Cottage room we'd been allocated. A small glitch because the staff forgot to tell us how to lock the room door (lift the handle!) but not a problem. Dinner was great and big portions. Nice and quiet in the Cottage room - beds comfy - everything clean - good shower. After the big dinner the night before weren't able to do included breakfast justice, but lots of choice and quickly served. Overall a good visit and we'd go there again.

Staff at check-in should make sure guests know how to lock the room door! The wi-fi password is difficult to find among the door instructions fixed to the wall - it should be written more prominently.

The room was huge and beautifully decorated. For what we paid we certainly didn't expect such a grand room (Champagne room). The bed was enormous and extremely comfy. The whole building just has so much original beauty and character. The staff were all very helpful and polite and the breakfast, which was included in our room price, was phenominal! Lots of lovely options, but myself and my husband chose the eggs benedict which was absolutely to die for! We will definately be returning!
