Does what it says on the tin - somewhere to rest your head, with a bathroom and breakfast thrown in. Very good value for money. Room was spotless, as was bathroom. Beds were comfy. If you want the height of luxury, this is not the place for you, but for the price you get good rooms, good breakfast and welcoming and friendly staff. Third time we’ve stayed and not been disappointed yet.

One of the two ceiling lights in the room was flickering so we turned it off. It was the one just inside the door though, not the one in the middle of the room near the beds, so didn’t affect our stay or our comfort in any way.

Readwing Lodge is in the perfect location for me to attend what I am down for. I found all the staff to be very welcoming and helpful especially the young lady that was working on Saturday morning I required my breakfast at the weekdays times and she very quickly prepared and put the breakfast out for me and I thought how nice, helpful and accommodating she was that young lady is a fantastic ambassador for the company. My room was spotlessly clean and fresh, facing to the back of the hotel and was so peaceful and quiet. The bed was very clean, very comfortable and I had a great sleep every night. The handyman was a very helpful person and he was very willing to help me with directions.

I can honestly say that I have nothing to report in this section I haven't got anything to complain about at all.

Good clean room, heating in room was good.Breakfast was nice.Staff were excellent.

I did have a problem with mice or rats entering my car in the car park,I left food in my car overnight.I found out that the Indian restaurant near the hotel has a problem with them.My advice is do not leave any food in your car.The hotel does try to treat /check this problem but I gather the restaurant nearby does nothing so this is a problem to be aware of ok.The mice/rats did damage my car's wiring so I have to get it repaired now so It's costing me money.

Was delighted with what I got for the price (just over fifty quid). Great service area, Easy parking. Didn't use the next-door curry restaurant but will next time. The en suite room was very comfy. The bed was large, The view across fields was beautiful. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The bar was nice. The basic self-service buffet breakfast offered a great selection of cereals, nice fresh bread for toasting, a wide selection of jams, fresh orange juice, instant coffee, etc.

Fewer wars on the news on the excellent TV in my room!

Breakfast was sufficient, help yourself so there was no need to go hungry. Room was quiet and plenty of space, heating provided, fan also if the weather turned hot. Shower was lovely and again spacious, great heated towel rack. Bed was comfortable, we slept very well. Adequate TV channels on a good sized TV. Truly a restful evening. Good parking, not needed by us but area for smokers could sit undercover. Before we were home received a message that I had left my charger in our room. Arranged collection by my daughter/son in law a few days later.

Don't think for the price there is nothing I would like to complain about. Maybe the signage, we drove past the Lodge, saw the garage but not the Lodge being it.

Lovely spacious twin room, with comfy beds and nice fluffy pillows. Fan supplied in room which was great as weather was hot, two desks with chairs in room and lots of mirrors;). Continental breakfast came with price which was a bonus for such a good price! We had a good night's sleep so no complaints!!!!

The location isn't ideal as not much around locally apart from an Indian restaurant adjacent but would need to drive to find other places to eat. Tap in bathroom was bit loud when turned on and doors on landing were a bit noisy when people went through to their rooms but I guess you'd get that at most hotels/guest houses.

Good location as a stop off on a longer journey. Facilities were a little tired and basic but, for the price, perfectly acceptable, clean and presentable. Comfortable bed. Good nights sleep. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Basic but pleasant breakfast (cereal/yoghurt/tea/coffee). Again, perfectly acceptable for the price. Over all, we were extremely pleased with finding this accommodation. We’d certainly stop here again. Recommended.

I liked that my room as you didn't have to walk far, from parking everything was easy to locate, comfy bed, hot water, crisp clean linen, towels, breakfast room is comfortable and bright. Window opens so it's not stuffy, slept like a log. Staff are eally friendly and helpful and happy to help. 24hr desk. The food is self service and plentiful. make your own toast, its informal ou can relax, and there's a microwave you can use. Plenty of cereals. Juice, jam. For the price you pay wow!. This place is so good, I have booked to return to dance jive at St Neots which is fab.. Redwings is a hidden gem. ( I changed the date of my stay hence my late review. )

a little drinks fridge in the room with a small jug of milk would be really useful, as the little milk portions drive me crazy, but that's everywhere these days, and a couple of bathroom shelfs. Rubber bath mat would be useful. But these are only little things which would be nice, but not essential.

The room was so clean and comfortable the coffee and tea area was a pleasure to. See and use the furnishings were comfortable and we Iliked the colour scheme the view from the window we enjoyed as it reminded us of our country days as we grew up in the country it is nice and local to meet up with our family's too the staff were very nice and nothing was too much trouble for them such an enjoyable staywe look forward to our next stay thankyou

No fault at all

I can't praise this place enough. It's a budget hotel, done extremely well. The staff on arrival were friendly and welcoming. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the whole stay was exceptional value for money. We had a couple of drinks in the bar (at prices that rivalled a student union) and were encouraged to order food in, being provided with a takeaway menu and shown where the plates were which we could use. As a stopover on our way to Leeds, we really couldn't have asked for more but a breakfast of toast, cereal and juice was provided despite the fact that we'd had a twin room for less than £40!
