lovely clean hotel in a nice location above the south cliffs and only a 15 min walk to the south beach . the hotel has lots of charming features but retains its older character . we had 2 rooms and both were clean and comfy. the lounge is nice and comfortable . the staff were all friendly but many were very new

the bathroom in the accessible room could do with some maintenance of the grout etc and it would be nice to have an option of a more superior room as an accessible room as it was definitely the most dated of the 2 rooms we had and not very easy to move around the bed which is key for people with limited mobility . we ate in the restaurant , the lounge and also breakfast - one common theme was incredibly slow service , over an hour for main courses in the restaurant and 45 mins for 2 pizza in the lobby , the food was all excellent when it arrived but the speed of service really should be better.

The Crown Spa Hotel is in a great location for exploring Scarborough being in a central location .Staff were very friendly particular mention to the bar staff who were extremely friendly and efficient. The room was also very nice as well the only thing lacking was a view .If there for longer than a night a room with a view would have been a better option .The beds were extremely comfortable and the facilities in the bathroom were also very good as you had a bath as well as a shower .Also tea and coffee making facilities were good .The food was also excellent in the bar area as well as the restaurant

There was a bit of a mix up with the early check in as the room wasn't available for 1300pm .Not a major problem as they allowed me to leave my case .Also there was no hairdryer in the bedroom .Also the lift wasn't working which would be problem for people with mobility issues

Spa was excellent.Nice bar and lounge area.Ate in the restaurant 2 nights and the food was excellent.The servers in the restaurant were really good and attentive,especially Charlie. The room was ok if not a bit bland,could maybe do with a couple of bright pictures to give it a bit of character.Bathroom nice.

I wasn’t impressed with the view from our room at the back of the hotel.The window Sills on other rooms which were in our eye line need some serious attention,they were all rotting and covered in some sort of green mould.Having paid for a superior room I would have hoped for a bit better view!

Amazing sea views from my 3rd floor room. The windows open all the way which allows for great photos. Great shower and deep bath with mood lighting. Attractive fireplace that actually works. Would be so cosy in the colder months. Spa facilities are excellent. Close to town and beach. Cliff lift very nearby which saves walking back up the hills! Reception, housekeeping and spa staff all friendly, helpful and welcoming.

Carpet in my room needs cleaning, not vacuuming but a proper deep clean. It’s very stained. My sink was cracked. Drawers didn’t open easily. Chair had a split in it. Robe wasn’t provided as stated on website, I had to phone to request one. There were no slippers despite their website saying they would be provided.

Staying here introduced me to a handsome and atmospheric quarter of Scarborough I was unaware of. This is I think the biggest of several Georgian hotels in this quiet enclave tucked above the spa complex (over the same footbridge but then take a right). The hotel’s interior is classical - not as eccentrically ostentatious as that of the Royal but still grand and special. But in its own way this place also has a surprisingly low key and friendly feel - I felt entirely at home walking through the foyer and exchanging smiles with members of staff. The room was fine and in all respects as expected. I was comfortable here and would stay again.

The staff are amazing, the reception guy let my daughter ping the bell (even though it must drive them mad😆). Spa staff freindly and acknowledged guests. The little things make a stay... especially for a family :)

The jacuzzi was broken in the pool, and I'd told my friend I'd brought with me about it and we couldn't use it. And also at breakfast, NO BUTTER. (I was shocked that the hotel didn't do butter anymore. It is my only vice and breakfast was not quite the same. Others may not care. It would not stop me staying again... but I did feel for a £15+ per person breakfast, butter should be reconsidered).

The staff were all extremely friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Check-in was quick and easy. Breakfast was great, with continental and traditional options available. The staff were very attentive and checked regularly if we needed any extra items. The lady who checked us in for breakfast made a big fuss of our daughter and her princess Elsa dress, which our daughter loved. The room was good, but it could probably benefit from a little bit of tlc as some items were slightly below the standard of the rest of the hotel, such as the grout in the bathroom behind the sink needs redoing, the stopper behind the door into the room was bent over and needs replacing, the fan was very noisy so couldn't be used at night. These items didn't detract from our stay but would help to raise the bar that bit more. We would happily return to the hotel again.

We found the temperature in the swimming pool to be colder than stated on the signage, so we spent more time in the jacuzzi pool than the main pool. Other than that we have no complaints.

I liked the hotel be nice if the outside seating areas were covered when it rains. there no where to sit.unless it's dry .was not happy that they tried to charge us 67 pound for eating in the hotel since we went out ever day to eat .and we always pay cash or card.never put it on to our hotel bill .they were still trying to fix it when we left so hope they don't take it out of his bank now we r home.they should always check they r putting it on to the right room number. They they would not have this problem

Was not impressed with the pool no loungers anywhere pool was cold so we only used it ones.that was the reason we picked that hotel was for therespa so disappointed with that.great room with sea view

Lobby and reception area beautiful and welcoming. Beds were a dream, so comfy and fluffy. Bathroom was gorgeous, bath extra long and deep, could fit myself in comfortably without been squashed (5ft9!)

Fan in hotel room full of dust, shower had lots of limescale, I asked at reception (2:30pm) for extra milk for a night time hot drink, still didn't get any and went out for the evening at 6pm, came back at 10pm still no milk in the room, had to go back to reception to ask for more, not a big thing but I was told it would be sorted right away and it wasnt.

nice looking property, improved in many areas , good pool and sauna areas, also gym if your that inclined. good to have a fan available in the room on this hot weekend very nice staff, especially breakfast team , but all were very nice throughout

lots of bird droppings in car park area, at £15 I would suggest power washing the area and should offer to have the car rinsed off each morning as it damages the paintwork . never seen so much avian excreta, glad I didn’t bring my other car . yes it’s the sea front but I found this a bit much. paintwork on the front of building needs addressing although didn’t spoil our impression and outdoor drinks area needs cleaning of bird droppings and garden tidying very small bathroom, almost impossible to use the sink comfortably, some black mould on a few tiles near bath edge, no excuse these days for this, bath was a bit slippery when having a shower main pool was a little cold and the water in the hot jacuzzi was cloudy.
