Great location, especially if you are attending an event at the Spa venue. The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and so helpful. The room was lovely & clean, with plenty of choice for hot drinks, along with some sweet treats ! The bed was very comfy and the bath towels were huge. The tv had a good array of channel services to suit all. We liked the fact that you had a little slip to decide upon your breakfast favourites, with ample choice. You are allocated your own table for the duration of your stay (which I like) and theres a welcome note at your table with your names upon it (little touches, make big differences) The service was second to none and the quality of the produce was fantastic and so tasty. There was nothing that we were unhappy with.

Absolutely top class service from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble for the wonderful Rebecca, Emma and Chris Comfortable bed, bedding and room( although if we were to stay again we would book a bigger room.)Towels were very luxurious too. Spotlessly clean through all communal areas and our room Breakfast was pre-order although we got et the impression this was just to give Emma and Chris and idea as we were always being asked if there was anything else needed. Forgot the pre-order 1 night and was able to sort this easily ( I thinking because we opted for a late breakfast timeslot.) Drinks tray was replenished every day( choice of coffee/decaff, black and fruit teas and hot chocolate. Would definitely recommend as an Adult only venue, and although not the cheapest option for Scarborough, we believe it was worth every penny we spent

Nothing to dislike

Emma and Chris, so welcoming, the Best Hosts, nothing was too much trouble. Lovely property, quiet location, lovely big room, very clean, loved the footed bath and ‘funky’ shower, towels were so thick and soft, bed comfy, luxury bedding, everything you need in the room, selection of hot drinks and biscuits etc., was welcomed with a slice of date and walnut cake, thank you Chris, it was delicious 😊. Breakfast was pre-order, great choice, you could have as much as you liked, full English was excellent ‘local organic produce’, loved the coffee. I was very reluctant to leave and go back to reality, thank you Emma and Chris so much for such a great stay, hope to see you both soon 🤗

This was a great place to stay while on a long cycling trip that took me through Scarborough. The couple who run it were very welcoming and friendly and let me store my bike inside. The breakfast was incredible, really generous portions and tasty. The bed was very comfortable with lovely sheets and fluffy towels. Very good value for money!

I had the single room and the bathroom was separate just a short walk down the hallway (which it may have mentioned in the room description but I missed). It was still a private bathroom with a decent shower, but I guess I would have booked a different room if I had realised before.

I actually stayed at the Cordelia because nobody else was booked in at the Waves. Enormous super king size bed with great pillows. Great big wooden wardrobe n nice wooden drawers. Room was bigger than average for a B n B. Great breakfast n even had haggis. Responsive to feedback, I asked for bacon the second day to be far less cooked because the 1st night it was brown n crispy the second it was just right

Bacon overdone in the 1st day n much better on the 2nd.

The bed had a very comfortable mattress and pillows and quilt. It was clean. The Hosts (Emma & Chris) were fantastic.

My partner disliked the shower, I however thought it was ok. (It was a fancy one that had waterfall/overhead options, nozzles for the body, that mostly worked, as well as a traditional shower head on a flex pipe) Unfortunately the room was up a lot of stairs and had no view of note. I should have checked/expected this was a possibility as it is a B&B)

Chris and Emma are very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble if you need anything just ask. Our room was beautiful and spacious lovely on suite with plenty of space, the bed was so comfy and the bed linen was gorgeous. The whole place was immaculate and well looked after. Breakfast was beautifully cooked by Chris and plenty of choice. Would recommend this B&B to anyone the location was nice too we loved being at the top end and we will definitely be back. Thank You

Not really a complaint but i forgot to mention the hairdryer could do with replacing as the heat setting seemed to be broken, i still managed with only having short hair others may struggle.

Absolutely gorgeous B&B, lovely and welcoming hosts Emma and Chris. Their attention to detail is fantastic, this is evident throughout this victorian house. Nice little touches such as, fresh cake and milk on arrival and a well stocked tea and coffee tray. We were in room 3, massive smart tv, comfy bed, private bathroom with a roll top bath and rainfall/spa shower - really nice. Very clean throughout and located in a quiet place. Breakfast was amazing 11/10. Parking was really easy with their free parking permit, we managed to park smack outside the property. Location wise is pretty good, very close to the Scarborough Spa Theatre and about 15 minutes walk into town. Recommended place to stay and visit.

Enjoyed our stay at The Waves Lovely greeting from Emma on our arrival and the walnut cake went down a treat Beautiful period property that has retained its charm Our room was comfy and cosy and furnished beautifully everything provided was high quality luxurious bedding and towels Breakfast was excellent with ample choices and good quality ingredients location great 1 min walk to south cliff will definitely stay again Thank you

The breakfast was very good. The location was as expected just off the Esplanade with easy access to the sea front via the cliff lift or paths through landscaped gardens. Our stay was not as long as planned because of an error by the booking agency, which they acknowledged. The reaction from the management when we pointed this out was exceptional. They promptly found us alternative accommodation, arranged for us to view it and then insisted on transferring our luggage to it. beyond our expectations as they were not responsible for the problem.

I could not fault anything that was in the control of the property owners. The business appears to be very well run.
