The room was lovely and clean and the beds were comfortable. Dog friendly The staff were very welcoming and the bar downstairs was also a pleasant place for drinks.

£20 a night for a dog is very expensive.

Great location and superb, friendly and helpful reception staff. Comfortable bed and good, free parking. Would happily stay again.

Room was not serviced during our first 4 nights. However the receptionists were happy to provide coffee, tea etc for the room and were very apologetic. Room was serviced on 5th day but only coffee and tea left and bin emptied. We didn’t make a fuss because the receptionists were so apologetic and so helpful but the cleaning team needs looking at. Room in very dark blue paint which was off putting at first but it grew on us.

Exactly what you'd expect from a pub hotel in a seaside town. Clean and comfortable room, (worth booking a victorian room as more modern decoration.) Very centrally located yet our room was very peaceful. The room had enough space for a couple to stay for one or two nights, but you couldn't stay much longer as there wasn't any storage space. Great onsite parking, but could do with a bit of resurfacing works in places.

A few things needed attention in our room, but when we checked out there was no-one at the reception desk to report this. Some of the hooks were coming loose from the wall, and the extractor fan in the bathoom didn't work. (room 17) Our room lacked a full length mirror, and some shelves in the bathroom/shower and in the room would have made us feel like all our belongings weren't on the floor. There was also no fire evacuation info in the room which I thought a bit strange.

I love the location of this hotel with free parking laid to the left hand side through a small passage, I have visited since it renovations started . I was the only person in the hotel with no kitchen or Bar (actually think they forgot to cancel my booking so just made up a bed for me as the room had no carpets , wall heater was off wall etc, tapes in bathroom falling off, but they were so kind told me where to go to eat and how to get about they still made my stay worth it .. Next time there was a bar area, no kitchen but the room was ok, this time although still not completed , the bar area was more completed with a singer that night and a games area. I do think we may have been the only two rooms but again great location , the rooms no 2 and 3 were really comfortable not finished I would say but I see improvements every 6 months.

When we left in the morning we had to go back in for something left in room, however you use the side door as front to bar is closed and with what seemed to only be one member of staff and the door locked there was no way back into the hotel, when phoning the number it takes you to the call center not the hotel so then had to start walking round and knocking windows and the front door to get the girls attention to let us back in. I think a door lock with code at the side would be good or a very loud bell so someone can hear.

The hotel was within a short walk to the town centre,the Steven Joseph theatre was very close as were several restaurants and Wetherspoons.The railway station was directly opposite.Our clean,comfortable room on the third floor had two comfortable beds ,tea and coffee making facilities,a nice bathroom and toiletries supplied.Never heard a sound all night.Would definitely recommend this hotel.May I add that the staff made us most welcome.

I believe the hotel is in the process of some refurbishment so hopefully breakfast facilities will be available in the future.

Great central location, useful having its own carpark.

The hotel is a little dated. Our upgraded room was very dark and small. No windows opened in the room, and only a small fan was provided. The room was very stuffy.... even after leaving the fan on while we were out all day.. There was only a very small table provided to make tea and coffee on. We didn't eat or have a drink at the hotel as it was room only, breakfast was not provided, so it was expensive, in that respect ...

Good location, nice clean spacious room, has everything you need. Check in was easy. The staff were lovely. Contacting the hotel via booking message they were quick to reply. When messaging the hotel regarding me leaving a teddy there. They were so helpful especially Keira she ended up getting my teddy back to me so THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THAT! Would stay again had no issues☺️

Quite limited parking - first come first serve and decor was quite outdated but didn't affect our stay.

Nice décor, great location and super comfortable bed! Nice and quiet and night. Hand soaps were really nice. Everything was good quality (except the toiler roll).

Low water pressure in shower, dark in the bathroom so using the mirror was a challenge. Smell from bathroom, but very very mild. The most annoying thing was despite having really good décor and a really good quality bed, etc, they then skimped on toilet roll, which was that sandpapery rubbish.

The location was excellent over the road from the train station. My room was spacious clean with a comfy double bed. I had a good size tv fixed to the wall. I had a kettle with tea and coffee with plenty of milk. The bathroom was clean and spacious with a shower. My room was on the third floor and there was a lift.

My room was a little dark due to been painted in a dark colour, but it didn't really matter for just staying one night. My stay for one night was £100 i thought it was a little expensive when there was no breakfast i went over the road too the train station cafe.

It was perfect location, free parking out the back of the building. It was a short enjoyable walk to the beach front with lots of cafes, pubs, shops on the way. Weatherspoons is just across the road which was perfect and cheap for breakfast. Short drive or bus journey to pensholm park and Alpamare swimming which my son really enjoyed. Staff in hotel were friendly and helpful. Beds were clean and comfortable, shower was clean and still hot when used even after 3 of us. Tea/coffee facilities on the room and was giving more on our 2nd day. My 8 year old son was welcomed into the bar area with us at night 8-9pm when we came back in and had game of pool before bed. We will use this hotel again.

Only thing i think they need is a small hair dryer in the bed rooms, other than that I could not fault it.
