Lovely place. Rooms beautifully decorated and individual with decent quality. Owner very welcoming and helpful. Nice location and good onsite parking.

No hot food is allowed in rooms (takeaways). We understand and appreciate the reasons for this however it would have been good if there was access to a communal area (such as the breakfast room) in order to bring in hot food to eat of an evening. That said there weren't any near by takeaways other than Tesco. One other matter was in our room the clothes hanging area didn't work. There was a lovely shelf with a rail under it but the set up didn't allow for clothes hangers to fit. Our friends room had a different set up which didn't have this problem so it could just be the room we were in.

This venue is stunning! Up-to-date with beautiful rooms and fantastic decor. This place has had alot of detail and thought put into it. Our room could get warm but they had provided a fan, which was perfect. Loved how small bottles of milk were provided in a small fridge in the hall way, that you could just help yourself and replace each time you wanted without having to bother anyone. It is only a 15min walk to Scarborough sea front, 9min walk to a few museums and 18min walk into the centre. This is really in the perfect location and on the plus side it has parking, so didn't have to worry about trying to find any, which in seaside towns can be hard. There is a pub 2min walk from the B&B, which was ideal as most places on the front shut at 9.30pm/10pm in the week.

The price, area, cleanliness and much more exceeded my expectations. It was such a lovely place to stay. The owners were so kind and made us feel comfortable and they even gave us a little tea/coffee/snack basket which was really sweet. The area was really nice too, a 1 minute walk from a local Morrisons and about a 10-15 minute walk from the centre, however the views make up for the distance.

The only thing I’ve got to really fault was the small sink in the bathroom and the shower. The sink would spill water everywhere when I’d wash my face as it was really tiny, and the shower head was really weak and barely had any water coming out which was unfortunate.

We had the family room and it was lovely. there was a separate spacious room with bunks and a sofa and coffee table. Off street parking was really great. We were there for 4 nights. I really liked that you didn't need to keep asking for tea bags and milk, but that a supply was readily available downstairs. Along with the usual small long life milk, little bottles were also freely available in the fridge downstairs. Very thoughtful. The location was brilliant. Just a few minutes to the beach. And a great jumping off point to visit Ravenscar for seals, Robin Hood's Bay and other places.

Can't think of anything we didn't like.

Another lovely room. Second time at the property and had another very pleasant stay. The room was really lovingly decorated with nice touches to the room that gave it a luxury feel. The tea and coffee provisions are above and beyond with a fridge in the foyer that you can help yourself to fresh milk or mineral water for your room and top up your tea and coffee if needed. There was even a stick of rock in the room which I took home and gave to my daughter who greatly appreciated it and now says I have to go to Scarborough every work trip!

The property was very welcoming on the outside and then when we stepped in it was a lovely decorated hallway, that smelt clean and fresh and very welcoming. we were met by an extremely friendly host who explained everything we needed to know and showed us to our rooms. we booked a family room and the four-poster room which was lovely decorated and extremely clean good Selection of tea coffee fruit tea biscuits, plenty of clean towels flannels and mini shower gels were very spacious the beds were very comfortable the room wasn't cold at all thou the night or day was a steady nice temperature our boys enjoyed their stay. my husband and I had a four-poster room that was decorated to a very high standard and with stunning attention to detail, the room was extremely clean dust free and had everything we needed complimentary shower gels, tea and coffee-making facilities with a good selection to choose from. The bed was very comfy, the room was warm day and night. The shower was also good steady power worked as it should. all 5 of us went for breakfast on Sunday morning, the dining room was very nicely decorated and was spotless very clean smelt clean. very large Selection on the menu and also has A few selections on the specials menu, we had The full English breakfast, which was very delicious. everything was cooked to perfection arrived hot and was very good portion size. my son had a sausage and egg muffin and he really enjoyed it. they were no negatives to our stay the b&b was stunningly decorated there was attention to detail they had thought of everything and was spotlessly clean. The hosts were incredible nothing too much trouble for you. thank you for making our stay a very comfortable one definitely will book again

they were nothing to dislike about our stay from start to finish was just fabulous

Our room was clean and comfortable with tea and coffee and a nice touch of fresh milk in the fridge downstairs. WiFi worked well. Parking much appreciated. An excellent 'green' thing was that towels were not washed daily, only when requested, which for 4 nights we didn't do. We didn't have breakfast for 2 reasons. First, we're not good at getting up in the morning and second, a hearty breakfast, followed by lunch and dinner is not a great way to avoid buying a new wardrobe! Something had to give so we chose breakfast.

Where do I begin. I liked this B&B the moment I arrived, car park available which was a bonus, I think it was the little things that made it too. They have thought about everything. Particularly loved the bespoke wooden furniture and pictures. Bed was comfortable, it was very quiet, extra tea/coffee/milk/water was always available. Our room was on the top floor, not a problem for us, and had a lovely big outside window that spanned the length of the room, throwing lots of light into the room, we loved our room. Breakfast on the last day was very nice, everything you could want, even fresh fruit. We discovered a nice bar nearby called Cellars, worth a visit. Location was good, 10 mins down the road and you were on the seafront. slightly longer and uphill to the town. Nothing was too much trouble for Stephen & Margret they made us feel very comfortable. Thanks again for a lovely stay. We can definitely recommend x

The room was exceptional, very comfortable and the washing and shower facilities were spot on with great walk in shower, easy to operate controls and heated towel rail to dry flannels and towels between showers. Food for the breakfasts was exceptional quality, service excellent. Enjoyed my stay in Scarborough despite it being January and I would rate Ashburton as being one of the best, if not the best, places to stay I've been in.

Doors were v difficult to open as have rheumatoid arthritis but they are like that for a very good fire safety reason and I managed. Quilt v warm but once again if too hot sleep under the blanket provided instead. I've got to say, I slept well so obviously did ok and it would have been worse to be too cold. That's the only complaints, didn't stop me having a great stay.

This property is of character, has a friendly feel and convenient parking. The staff are lovely and accommodating and have thought about every little detail. They have considered how to reduce their plastic use with reusable bottles of water and fresh milk in a small fridge easily accessible in the lobby. The location is great! Just a short walk from the beach and town centre. I wouldn’t be storage to book and stay again in the future.
