Lovely bar area with log fire, friendly, helpful staff, clean well equipped freshly decorated room, really comfortable bed, great a La carte breakfast with tables allocated with individual names of rooms, ample parking at the back. Would 100% return.
Nothing. Just one small point (not a criticism) - we had the Crows Nest room. In the corner of the room where there’s a little table ledge - this is a handy area for doing your hair as there’s a power point for hairdryer/hair straighteners. There’s a double socket there so it would have been great to have a little lamp in the corner to see what you’re doing. Simple and cheap to fix!

Staff were quite superb, food was 'cracking', atmosphere was 'classic British Pub' - well done all. On a cold winters day the log fires, all well tended, simply brought it all together.
I love dogs BUT NOT IN THE DINING ROOM. I realise not easy for a 'Mine Host' to say no today and there was no 'doggy smell' anywhere BUT when guests fed their doge at the table?? The staff were great, quickly moved us away but on this occasion there were 2 dogs in the Dining Room - not easy for the Waiting Team to manage. It did not spoil our few days but made us more cautious.

We loved the comfy clean rooms, bars, restaurant and the staff were all very attentive. The residents lounge was a great addition. One outstanding member of staff was Eve although every member of staff were great. The pub is in a great location for lovely coastal walks and is very dog friendly.
Although the food was great, on one evening (Wed 27.11) we were disappointed with the quality of the food. Some meals came out cold, some with components missing and some meals not quite as described in the menu. However Eve did her utmost to put things right and her service was impeccable. Dinner on the other evening as well as both breakfasts were lovely.

A very warm welcome in this old fashioned traditional pub. Cosy bars and log fires aplenty. Staff are very friendly and the overall atmosphere is very relaxed. The food offering is excellent. Many choices at breakfast and all very appetising. We ate in the restaurant 3 evenings and the food was very tasty and well presented. We upgraded to a comfort room and were well pleased. A large room with equally large comfy bed. The bathroom was also huge. All in all a very pleasant stay and we hope to return.
Maybe the restaurant could do with a separate area for guests with dogs.

Very friendly helpful staff. Large, comfortable bed. Well situated for the places we wanted to visit. Very generous tea and coffee facilities in our room with used items replaced each day.
Our room, though pleasant, was not well thought out. For example, the excellent tea and coffee making things were in a dark corner of the room on a very low table which meant bending down low to make a cup of tea. The only way to watch tv in the room was by sitting up in bed, but opposite the bed was a mirror on the wall with the tv to the side of it. This meant that one was distracted by seeing a reflection of oneself in the mirror. They should have been the other way around!

The Rose & Crown is such a lovely hotel, in a building with lots of history and character. The staff were all so friendly, for both the hotel and the restaurant. Our room was clean, well-equipped and comfortable. The shower was amazing - hot and powerful! Breakfast consists of a simple but more than adequate selection of cold items, and while I didn't have one myself, the cooked breakfasts (which are prepared to order) looked amazing. We ate dinner in the restaurant on one evening, and enjoyed our meal. There's a special residents' lounge, which is a nice touch. We were in Norfolk with friends to visit Sandringham House, and the Rose & Crown was the perfect place to stay.
Although some rooms have air-conditioning, ours didn't. As a result the room got really hot because the weather was particularly hot and sunny. A couple of small fans are provided on the bedside tables but they were too noisy to leave on overnight. One larger but quiet floor-standing fan would have been much better.

Lovely room with very good facilities we had our dog with us and were made very welcome, our dog was allowed in all the areas we needed, there were treats in the bar and in our room for him and for us the food served was very good we would recommend it we had breakfast and evening meal ,the staff were all very friendly, We had a large bath with a power shower as well, they used local products from wine's to toiletries, We would recommend you book your evening meals as it can get busy, The pub is situated in the heart of Snettisham and is very easy to find with a large carpark at the rear,There are plenty of places to walk your dogs around the area as well.,all in all a very good break and will certainly return there as we had a great time .
Basically, nothing. Oh, I could say there is a sharp turn into the carpark. that's all .

Fantastic staff and customer service. The room was lovely and luckily there was air-con in the room on a very warm weekend. Nice little touches like homemade biscuits and cafetiere coffee in the room. The food is amazing and highly recommend dining here, especially in the smaller back dining room which was much quieter and intimate. Breakfast was top tier, the Eggs Royale was beautiful, everything was fresh and tasted sublime.
On the second night in the restaurant we were seated in the main dining room at a central table, it was very noisy and busy and we kept getting jostled by people walking past us to the garden.

Breakfasts were excellent with a variety of hot food on offer as well as the usual "continental" type of of food. The evening meals were also first class with a sophisticated menu and a willingness to adapt them to cater for our particular needs. The service was swift and delivered in a friendly manner. The staff are very friendly and willing to ensure one's stay is comfortable.
When we arrived we were worried about the steep staircase to our room -(we are in our eighties!). But our cases were carried up for us and brought down at the end of the visit. We managed the stairs, but older people should know about this. It is an old and beautiful place and we loved staying there. There are two ground floor rooms.
