Position walking distance from NEC (13 minutes). Very nice structure reminding a Victorian traditional British building. Lovely staff, was very nice having breakfast with Mrs Jane, a really nice woman who let's you feel at home. Nice bar for a night drink. A really nice place to stay

The only very important thing I suggest to the owner is to invest in order to change the tents of the rooms. The ones that are now on the windows let filter all the light and it is really disturbing being awakened by the light at 5 am. All hotels have decent tents that create darkness, and a sleep without the dark is a bas sleep. You can do it, it's easy, doesn't cost too much and it will let your hosted rest all night long

Gym and pool etc were great. The bar area was comfortable and welcoming. The room was quiet, had plugs by the bed inc USB C, and toiletries were provided. We didn't eat there but the restaurant did look nice. Only 5 mins walk from Resorts World if you head up to the main road, so not as far as Google Maps suggests.

The kettle was burnt out and tea/coffee selection was very basic. The hair dryer worked but was very old. Some of the staff weren't super helpful - one came into the gym whilst I was the only one in there just to use his phone to talk to someone about pizza, which was distracting and weird.

Evening meal excellent, breakfast good. Pool/jacuzzi a decent size.

Layout confusing , with little signage to direct you from your room to reception. No supervision in pool/jacuzzi which meant that the dozens of young girls staying dominated meaning it was impossible to use the jacuzzi. Some of the girls staying for a hip hop competition were not well supervised. They had a lot of energy and had were not very considerate in their behaviour. The hotel did their best to respond to complaints eg about children running down the corridors banging doors.

I booked this hotel as it was advertised as walking distance from the NEC...but due to road works and a closed bridge over the train station, there was no way to walk to and from the NEC. This meant taking taxis on every journey and a lot of wasted time trying to walk

Location was perfect for the N.E.C- a short walk- maybe a quarter mile or less. All the Staff I encountered were friendly and helpful and appeared to be locals. The Restaurant had a good menu and prices were very fair - I had both an Evening meal and a Breakfast during my stay- both meals were high quality. I also spent the evening in the Hotel bar- and the prices were very fair and NOT the rip off prices often found in some hotels. In the morning I also used the excellent Pool and Steam Room- everything was clean and functional.

There is nothing I would change about the place- I noted that it has 3 stars but its as good as hotels I have previously visited with 4 stars- so dont let your judgement be swayed by this.

Location is great for NEC, just a 10 minute walk. The restaurant was good, excellent range of choices and really friendly young staff. The radiator in my room was off or didn’t work, and when I called reception for help they brought me a portable heater, extra sheets (no duvets available as fully booked) and sachets of hot chocolate! Very kind. Electric chargers really helpful.

I was told my radiator was broken but my colleagues also reported very cold rooms so I think heating was off which is a shame when March can be (and was) very chilly! They did help me quickly though with a portable heater.

Lots of space to relax in the pubic areas. The staff, with a special mention to the waiting staff in the breakfast room. The breakfast buffet was good . Minutes from the NEC.

The night we stayed there were a lot of unsupervised children running up and down the corridors all evening . To be fair as soon as reception we’re aware it was dealt with immediately. There was a problem in the kitchen and i to wait a long time for my GF breakfast The waiting staff reported it to the manager (not me) and he dealt will personally. I think these were both unfortunate incidents that on another occasion would not have happened.

This was a fantastic base to attend a gig at BP Pulse Live, which is a short 5 minute walk away. It was also really close to Birmingham International Airport and Train Station, and a quick 10 minute train into the city centre for shopping. The reception team were really friendly and validated our parking a little early for us to allow us to go into the city and explore for a while before we checked in. When we did check in, we had been upgraded to a Champagne Room. I’m not entirely sure of the difference from a standard room but it was a large, adequately clean and pleasant room. It was quiet in our room, even with so many other people in the hotel. The shower in our room had great water pressure. Many of the reviews talk about the temperature of the rooms however ours was perfect and the windows could be opened to let air through. There were tea, coffee, hot chocolates, biscuits and bottled water in the room. The bed was really comfy! Before we checked out in the morning we utilised the swimming pool facilities which were nice and clean. We visited the National Motorcycle Museum on our way home which was a short and easy 3 minute drive away.

The room was a little dated and dusty in obvious places like the toiletry holder in the bathroom (I didn’t go around looking); however the bed etc was spotless. We did not add breakfast on as we had already paid £130 per night for the booking and felt an additional £28 for breakfast was a little expensive.

Great location, walking distance to NEC, resorts world, Birmingham international station etc. Room comfortable and clean - though quite hot when we first went in but we turned the heating off straight away & opened window. Small pool, sauna, steam room all ok. Restaurant/bar area all good with nice food and drinks at a standard price. Parking good.

Nothing major pool was pretty busy when we tried to use it and had to come back 30-40mins later but it was national running show so a busy weekend - I imagine it may get like this during busy events so maybe just bear that in mind. Major road right outside a little noisy but as expected - a thinner duvet might help with not needing window open but that's personal preference.

Room was fine - very quiet, and with everything required. Location was the main draw as we were visiting the NEC and it's a 20 min walk away. The bar was pleasant and we were served quickly when we used it. Easy to check in online and being able to park for free until 2pm was very useful. Having access to a well appointed gym, spa, and pool was also welcome.

Better local knowledge - we were sent the long was to the NEC on Saturday. There is a quicker way via the station. The lift was a bit dodgy too - we didn't use it much but the noises it made when we did were a touch concerning. Water pressure in the room could have been better also.
