Really nice area that was close to my place of interest. Offered the most comfortable bedroom with the comforts of a bath 🛁 WiFi and excellent facilities for all one could want. I shall be returning.

Nothing really to dislike. The bar area was only what you would expect from a private residency and not a public one. Me been Irish expects patrons to be at the bar until last orders, but this was not the case here having it solely to myself on the night of travel, so only disappointment was having a drink to meself.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Haigs Hotel, and it was an absolutely delightful experience from start to finish. The staff at this hotel truly set the standard for hospitality. We were greeted with warm smiles and genuine friendliness from the moment we arrived, making us feel right at home. The family atmosphere at Haigs is unmatched. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure that every guest feels like part of their extended family. Whether it was accommodating our special dietary needs, arranging last-minute transportation, or providing thoughtful recommendations for local attractions, nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Their dedication to ensuring our stay was perfect was evident in every interaction. The facilities were immaculate but it’s the people that made my experience exceptional. Their friendliness and eagerness to assist with any request, no matter how big or small, left a lasting impression on me.

We have stayed here for many years but usually in a double room. This time we asked for a twin, which was not quite up to the same standard - see below. As usual the items provided in the room are excellent, including the big bath towels, biscuits and water. The heating is excellent too.

As mentioned above, our twin room was not quite perfect as there were no bedside tables or lamps. The settee was in their palce. The shower function was fine but the cubicle is a bit tired.

Spacious room with ensuite bathroom. Large flat screen TV. Location was good for us as we were travelling North to South. Generous provision of tea/coffee etc. On the whole the stay was good value for money for a Saturday night.

Decor is rather dated - as is the ensuite. There were two flights of steep stairs to the room and no lift. A second chair in the room would have been appreciated and unfortunately we did not find the beds particularly comfortable.

All very pleasant staff on reception, bar and dining duties. Good value fixed-price-menu dinner. Good breakfast (not such good value if you don't have the cooked one). With our party of 8 in 5 rooms, we seemed to able to occupy the bar as long as we wanted.

Bathroom fittings had a 1970s look. If one failed to flush the first time, it was quite a wait before it was worth trying again.

The service was friendly and professional from all members of the team. The menu had some very interesting dishes and was good value for a three course meal. The services team at dinner and breakfast looked after guests very well.

To provide a balance, it is fair to say that the room had a few areas that needed some TLC but this wasn't a problem for me. The decor in the restaurant is traditional and an interesting change to experience.

this was clean and tidy with very friendly and helpful staff and provided excellent value for money. The room was warm and reasonably spacious with tea and coffee making facilities and a TV. It placed excellently for visiting the NEC which was about a 20 minute drive away and in a very nice area with a nearby park about 5 minutes walk away. It a reasonably priced restaurant which wasn’t open on the Monday when we stayed.

There were only two points to comment on. The shower was either very hot or just cold with nothing in between. And we found our beds soft to sleep on but other guests may prefer a soft bed.

Absolutely lovely little pet-friendly hotel. Great value. The rooms were charming and a good size with tea-making facilities, bottled water and free biccies! Decent parking out front. The restaurant looked lovely and reasonably-priced although we didn't eat there.

The electric shower in room 4 was broken (cold water only) as of early Dec 23. We reported this and it will apparently be sorted next week. It wasn't a major issue as there was lots of hot water for a quick bath, just a minor annoyance

Perfect location for a party we was attending. Free parking, spacious clean rooms and good choice of hot drinks and bottled water in room.

We waited 10 minutes for someone to check us in, we had to go looking for a member of staff, maybe a sign on the desk with a mobile number on would help others. No one around when we checked out either.

The entertainment they laid on for us on the evening was excellent. Everybody in the room joined in and mixed. All the staff were great and very friendly. Couldn't find any fault with the staff. Also breakfast really set us up for the day. We will definitely stay again.well done everyone.

Couldn't find any faults. We liked everything.
