everything , the rooms are so comfortable.and clean... but after a bad experience with another hotel we booked the Kings arms as it was our anniversary and Sophie on check in was absolutely wonderful , she gave us prosecco on ice to celebrate our anniversary. she was so kind and genuinely wants to make your stay the best it can be. the cleaners do an amazing job and they also left a note saying happy anniversary. overall we live the Kings arms and will definitely stay again.

nothing the hotel was amazing .. if I had to be picky I'd say the wasps outside were a pain but that can't be helped. overall the Kings arms is an amazing hotel

This place is just fabulous! 5 stars to the people who was in charge of the decoration job here. A perfect way to decorate an old historic building like this. I was on a walk along the Grand Union canal. My room, number 12, was luxurious and with a very well sized and completely new bathroom. However the best memory from this stay was meeting Gail, who served me breakfast. A very charming woman who went out of her way to make me feel welcome. Every hotel should have a person like her in the staff. Since there were no other guests in the breakfast room we had along chat and she told me about the newly refurbishment.

Greta location near the canal. Pleasant outdoor area. Several different ares inside so a choice of ambience for the evening meal. Really enjoyed an early evening drink on the terrace by the canal bank. Pleasant staff.

This is the second time we’ve stayed here. Both times there was a mixup with the meal orders and the kitchen. So we had the cost of food and the drinks cancelled which was very decent but would rather have had the food that we’d ordered. We do hope that they can resolve the problems with the kitchen as we would like to visit again.

Quirky & Uniquely decorated property, beautifully situated on the canal , Fantastic summer location with a great beer garden along the canal .. I loved the stylish decor of the property, The restaurant was beautiful.

There wasn't much I didn't like , The menu was very fancy , the belly pork meal I had was extremely fatty and no meat . Lots of staff talking amongst themselves about an issue with someone wjo worked there not being up to standard , something a guest shouldn't be hearing. Check in was great , check out was flat - no thank you , did you have a good stay , or even a goodbye. Shame

We stayed 3 nights and had a comfortable stay. The room was advertised as a small double and it was small! For a 3 night stay - too small! It was clean and decor very good. The bed very comfy. We ate in the dining room for each night of our stay and the food was mostly good, staff friendly and efficient. The breakfast was a bit bizarre as there was only a cooked choice! No cereal, fresh fruit or yoghurt and no continental version. The cooked choices were very good in fairness. It’s the first hotel I’ve ever stayed in anywhere in the world offering a “good breakfast” but having no choice of cereal, fruit, yoghurt the basics of a “good breakfast”. The chef is on duty so no reason why not. On enquiry we were told “we don’t do that”! Overall though a pleasant stay and we would stay there again.

Not having a cereal, fruit, yoghurt choice at breakfast. See above for overall comments. During our stay there were quite a few choices not available on the evening menu and it got worse on the second and third night! Staff were having to constantly apologise to customers. It was not the waiting on staff members problem who were taking the flack but a management problem with ordering and deliveries. The waiting on staff were very apologetic and very sincere and they should be credited for their loyalty. The same happened with the cooked breakfast. Good job we weren’t vegetarians! We did complain. It’s a real shame as the quality, presentation, menu choice is very good and variable until it’s not available!

Used to stay here all the time for work in a previous job. About 4 years ago that was now. The recent refit of the bedrooms is excellent and only adds to the comfort of the Inn. The en suites was always what dragged behind the inn but now they're stunning and the new showers are amazing. Me.and the good lady both said, can we live here? The Restaurant food was amazing. BOGOF on the steaks made a Birthday day for the missus all the more better. I personally preferred the decor and character of the inn how it was before, feels a little too "bouje" now where as before it had the amazing characteristics off an Inn that you could relax in. That is not a complaint though. Its still stunning. The padded chairs are a little low for the tables mind. Sore legs. Will we be back? Abso-bloody-loutely Thank you again

Nothing to dislike.

The hotel and pub/restaurant were very very cute and lovely. Our lock actually fell off and we were locked outside of our room for about 2 hours: the staff were fantastic about it and whilst waiting for the engineer to come out, they offered to either put us up in a different hotel or have a tab of food and drink. As we were in a group, we stayed and had the cocktails which were amazing! Breakfast in the morning was also delicious and just what we needed!

Not their fault the lock worked a little toooooo well!

Location , parking and food were really good

I booked a small double for myself and was not disappointed with a small bedroom, BUT My bathroom was so ridiculously small- the toilet could not be accessed properly as the washbasin was in front of it. I don’t want to put too finer point on it but as a female it was impossible to sit on the toilet as your legs were jammed under the Sink! I am 5’8” and anyone taller than me would have a really impossible time.

An amazing stay, really comfortable and beautifully decorated room. We had dinner booked in the restaurant and the food and service was great, even though the restaurant was fully booked for valentines the staff managed to seat us a little later than originally booked which helped us out. Zac our waiter was very polite and professional, he is an asset to your establishment! Would certainly recommend and will stay again if in the area.
