Booked the large room and it was very large - Heating in the room was really good. Excellent walk in shower - lashings of hot water. Excellent king size bed which was very comfortable. We had an evening meal on arrival and prices were realistic for food and drink. Table service by the young man was excellent. Full breakfast was brought to the table very quickly. Piping hot. Could have done with a larger portion slightly although there were many other items available.
They had an organised event next door on the dance area and the music was loud when eating our meal. They did apologise. We still enjoyed our meal.

We booked a superior double room for work Christmas party. Pros - Very clean, all facililties Iron and board, hair dryer, kettle tea coffee sugar milk, soap and shampoo/conditioner. The staff worked very hard and was welcoming the breakfast was fresh and exellent with full choices. Could not fault the Christmas party the food, party games and music plus and added bonus watched Tyson and Usik fight in the bar :) We would stay at The Limes again and recommend :)
Cons - I dont think it was a superior double room we stayed in due too just seemed like your average room no different.

I’ve stayed a few times at the Limes Country Lodge. very convenient for buying shows that I need to attend . staff are great and it’s always clean and inviting.
I stayed on one of the hottest day/ eve on record the cold tap water was Luke warm . it would have been lovely if on this occasion a small bottle of water had been popped in the fridge.

The location makes for some amazing views, especially in the summer when you can eat outside. The food was amazing despite the reviews we had read prior to our stay. The staff couldn’t try to do more for you if they wanted. We have never felt so welcomed in a hotel before and it made travelling so far away from home that little bit easier. We will 100% be back.
Although it was technically out of their control we ended up in the hottest part of the building for what I dare say was the hottest few days if the year so far with temps of 26+ and no one had thought to put fans in the rooms in this particular part of the building. However, when we did ask, the lady on the desk did go find a little one for us as the ones they normally give out were already allocated to other rooms. No big deal really it just meant sleeping outside the quilt. The car park is all loose stone and not really the best to drive on and at one point we thought we had blown a try from it - we hadn’t. It would be nice if it was tarmac but I get that it suits the property the way it is and would be costly to do.

We were put into one of the ground floor chalet rooms which was shaded by the shrubbery and so nice and cool in the summer heatwave. Reception staff were very helpful in replacing a leaky kettle and switching off annoying loud music without any hesitation. Breakfast staff were also very efficient and helpful.
It was only by accident that we found out that the restaurant would not be serving dinner on Sunday evening - we could easily have arrived unprepared and hungry. That information should have been provided when we booked the room. All hotels seem to keep winter weight duvets on the beds all year round - I wish they would switch to summer weight duvets in the summer, especially in a heatwave!

Dinner was not served but it was Sunday and we knew in advance so it was not a problem. The room was a family room and very big surpassing our expectations. It was away from the main building where there was a party but we could not hear it. The bed was most comfortable Breakfast was cooked by the owner as it was a bank holiday and was excellent. We have stayed before and we will certainly stay again. Staff friendly and helpful.
A minor issue was that on one of the sheets there was an ink stain but this was really not a concern and just wanted to point it out. Everything else was fine

Room was large and very modern with lovely fitted wardrobes a large wall mounted tv and a large desk/dressing table area. A fridge was also fitted inside one of the cupboards. A kettle in the room with plenty of tea and coffee etc was also great. The bathroom was large and spacious and had an excellent shower. Decor in communal areas really lovely. Staff were all very friendly and the food we ate here was a very good standard.
The Bedding really let this down It appeared to have a kingsize quilt fitted inside a double quilt cover, so a large portion of the quilt was hanging out of the bottom of the cover, the pillows were also lumpy. The throw across the bottom of the bed was not clean had visible dirty stained patches, which was very off putting so took off the bed on day one.

I loved staying in this hotel, and I will be back again in a couple of weeks; I stayed in a gorgeous, spacious, spotlessly clean room with a very comfortable bed and lovely shower. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The food was exceptional, and I had a stunning meal in the restaurant with my colleague. Breakfast was delicious, too and they have an actual toaster and not one of those awful toasting machines, it's the little things like that that make a difference

We chose this hotel because it was convenient for travelling, so close to junction 3 of the M42, and were pleasantly surprised to find that its situation was so pretty and rural. Staff were helpful, the twin room was clean and well appointed and the beds were comfy. WiFi was included and it worked.
All hotels do this, but I wish they would not keep winter weight duvets on the beds all year round. We could do with summer weight duvets in the summer, especially in a heatwave!

Found this place on Booking.com after decidedto break our journey home. A wonderful find. Clean, tidy and very friendly staff. Very comfortable rooms with excellent facilties. Set in the heart of the Solihull countryside we will defintly be coming back on our many trips to the Midlands. The restaurant served excellent food at a reasonable price. Very nice waitress and bar staff.
The walls in the Annex are very thin and we were disturbed by returning guests around midnight . They were very loud. This is not really a criticism of the hotel as they cannot help what guests they get but it was most annoying listening to drunken neighbours.
