Entering the hotel was mind blowing with the boats view from my window was 💯

I expected more variety of food

The hotel was beautifully furnished and in a great location. Our room was lovely with great views. The restaurant at the top of the hotel also had magnificent views

I was warned that there would be ‘live music’ during our evening meal. I didn’t see the band or whatever it was but the volume was horrendous. We were put around the corner but had to lip read each other to guess what we were saying. Also we had no idea how to turn the lights off in our room so had to sleep with the lights on. We would have phoned down to reception (we were already ready for bed) but we didn’t know the number for reception so details of that and how to work the air conditioner would be very helpful. We also had to ask a guest where the breakfast was to be served (which was delicious I have to say)

The bed was so comfortable, I slept very very well. The food in the jetty was excellent. The views from the 6th floor were excellent and the place was clean. Lovely touch for our anniversary

The lifts were not working properly and this made us wait long and at some point we walked down the stairs and the lights in the spa were not working and the ladies were unable to switch them off or dim them when we were having our couples massage. I also think that maybe offer some water for guests in the room not just on the first day.

The hotel is stunning, exuding luxury from the moment you arrive. The staff are exceptional. Upon arrival, our room had an unpleasant musty, moldy smell that persisted even after opening the balcony doors. With the room phone out of order, I went to reception, where the receptionist promptly arranged a different room and had the concierge assist with our luggage, which was wonderful. However, the new room was disappointingly dusty, with easily removable marks on the table. I cleaned the room myself, assuming it had been prepared earlier and left unused for a few days. Unfortunately, I then discovered unflushed waste in the toilet. I flushed it and informed my partner, who suggested notifying reception. Due to the busy period, reception was extremely crowded, so I returned to the room without reporting the issue. Despite these setbacks, our stay was truly lovely. The views from our room were incredible, overlooking the yachts and port, with cruise liners coming in. The bed was the most comfortable we’ve ever experienced; it felt like sleeping on a cloud. The Christmas decorations are beautiful and it really is an enjoyable experience to be in the hotel.

The host in the restaurant is very cold and unfriendly which we felt was a shame as the whole feel throughout had been warm and friendly from the staff. It was very difficult to get a seat in the spa as it was always so crowded with towels or people on all the beds, perhaps time slots would help with this over busy periods as we were there during the weekend and the business of it did take away from the relaxing feel, having said that the spa is beautiful.

The room was lovely- a good size with a really big bed. Also a great view of the port. Good to have the spa and gym though as I was working I couldnt use it as much as I would like. Lots of nice restaurants nearby. Lovely Christmas decorations in the hotel. Restaurant staff were friendly and attentive.

Would have been better to have a walk-in shower rather than one in the bath. The gym was very congested in terms of equipment jammed together. I walked down the stairs from the third floor and they ended on the first- it was not obvious where you went to get down to the ground floor. Breakfast was expensive and lacked pieces of fresh fruit like an orange as well as nuts (eg walnuts).

The views from the property are fantastic, and the location is brilliant. If you’re looking for a special treat or a posher stay. This hotel is what you’re looking for.

The property was advertised as a ‘suite’ but the hob and oven were disconnected and there were no plates and cutlery. We weren’t informed of this before our stay, so it was a little disappointing. For the price you pay for the night, I do think breakfast should be included or atleast the continental part with the choice of an upgrade. I do also think as a more grand hotel, the reception area was a little disappointing. We usually stay in leonardo, which although isn’t as good as the harbour. The reception area is certainly more of a statement.

Our stay at the Harbour Hotel in Southampton was nothing short of exceptional. What truly set this hotel apart, though, was the service. The staff were warm, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was unforgettable. The Harbour Hotel is not just a place to stay; it’s an experience. Whether you’re visiting for a romantic getaway, a special occasion, or simply to indulge in luxury, this hotel will exceed all expectations.

We had a beautiful stay, thank you so much Harbour Hotel Southampton. All the staff were very friendly, helpful and made us feel very welcomed and special. Great service, lovely food. Our room was beautiful with a lovely bath in the bedroom. We had an amazing weekend!!! The spa is very clean and again all the staff made our drift away massage experience very pleasant, relaxing and enjoyable. The room was very clean with a welcoming gin and a bar full of snacks and drinks. We had breakfast on the 6th floor and the best view from the terrace. We are definitely coming back soon.

Beautiful hotel and location, probably the best in Southampton. The hotel staff were mostly fabulous, save for the spa and the restaurant. The reception staff were tremendous and their work is very much appreciated. Rooms are lovely and comfortable.

The Jetty restaurant was laughably bad. The servers seemed to be unpaid interns, taking ages to take an order, chit-chatting and laughing out loud to each other, not knowing how to place items on the table, no guest service whatsoever. It was entertaining how bad the service was. In terms of the food, some poor cuts of “sashimi” came with a side of pickles (?) and curry sauce (?). It may hopefully be that this restaurant is independent from this fantastic hotel, in which case my rating will be adjusted.
