Staff were amazing! Great welcome from Reception and the Bar and Waiting staff were exceptional as was the food! They all worked tirelessly to ensure everyone had a good time. Had breakfast and dinner both days and everything was delicious. Couldn't fault the food. The Chef is clearly first class! Great warm atmosphere in the public areas and the staff couldn't do enough for you. The room delivered what was expected. Clean linen and towels, a good powerful shower and it was warm and cosy. Overall it was a comfortable stay in a great location. We did some hillwalking and there's lots to do in the surrounding area. The room could've benefited from some TLC and better housekeeping, a bit dusty in places.

Overall the hotel was lovely, but some areas were a bit tired and neglected which was a shame. More attention to overall cleaning and maintenance would make a big difference. Just a bit tired and needed some TLC. Mattress could definitely do with being replaced. But it didn't spoil our stay

Excellent location in the heart of The Trossachs National Park, giving you an easy access to Lochs and Fort William side of Highlands. It is a well looked after 18th century building with annexes added later. Large comfortable rooms, Very comfy beds and spacious bathrooms. Very clean Breakfast was superb , one can order hot breakfast from the menu. Front of the property is decorated with flowering pots and looks very pleasing. Parking is around the foreground of the property, but never had to struggle for that.

No lift ( cant expect at the dated building) , so had to carry the heavy bags upstairs.

The staff were very kind and let me check in early, which I really appreciated after a long day. The room was a good size for a single and very reasonably priced. Having a bath in the bathroom was an absolute treat after the first day of walking the West Highland Way. There were a few insects in the bed, though nothing too concerning. The main drawback was the noise — the head of the bed backed onto the corridor where the floorboards were excessively loud, and the nearby door banged whenever people started waking up and moving around. I’m not sure if the door was broken or if that’s just how it is, but from about 5 a.m. onwards it was very disruptive and unfortunately ruined the night’s sleep. From other reviews it seems this may only be an issue with certain rooms. On the plus side, the location is very handy, with a Spar just across the road. Overall, it offered good value and some great comforts, though a quieter room would have made all the difference.

The Breakfast was very good, Evening meal menu was good value for money but limited, but they did cater for gluten free, all staff were helpful and polite.

We booked two rooms and our room was very dated and the bathroom / shower room cramped and we were located on the ground floor next to the road with single glazed windows so we had road noise. the second room must have been and upgrade because this was an excellent room. We complained and they moved us to a superior room the next day at no extra cost.

It was a planned, quiet chill out weekend for myself and the husband. With good food, drink,and a good atmosphere, meeting new people, and that was what we got. there was entertainment on both nights' live music on Friday night(which was really good) and a murder mystery on Saturday night (we didn't take part), but still had a good night with others who were there for the same idea as ourselves, staff were all friendly, helpful and accommodating, we would recommend staying here, and we will be booking again at some point later in the year .

The hotel was clean, comfortable and the facilities were good. It wasn’t decorated in a particularly modern way, but it did the job and the room was a reasonable size. The shower had very good pressure and temperature. We ate at the restaurant and the steak in peppercorn sauce was excellent, cooked absolutely perfectly. I don’t have steak all that often, but this was the best I’ve had since a visit to the states almost 10 years ago! The kitchen accommodated my wife’s dietary requirements too, making a few substitutions, and her hake was really nice.

I’d gone to the bar at about 6:30 to book a table for 7:30. We had our dog with us so couldn’t eat in the restaurant, but it wasn’t until 7:30 that we were told there weren’t enough tables in the bar, so would be seated in the lounge by reception. This was a less comfortable setup, as it was quite a busy thoroughfare for waiting staff and people wheeling suitcases, and the table was a bit too low down (more like a coffee table). This detracted a bit from an otherwise great meal.

The hotel is easy to get to by the 309 bus. Room had basic amenities I needed and was clean and tidy. Staff very kindly allowed me to check in early at a very small extra cost. Loved the shortbread treat in the room.

Just a note, there was no hairdryer. Not a problem for me but perhaps good to know for others. There is one squeezy bottle in the shower that acts as shampoo, conditioner and body wash (and I will say it worked fine for my curls!).

The room was clean, inviting, and warm. Just what we needed after our first day of walking the West Highland Way. And there was a bathtub! We were sorry we didn't bring our bath salts. Thank you for a wonderful night. Had dinner at the bar. Friendly, accommodating, and the food was delicious.

There wasn't any heat to be found in the bathroom except the warming towel rack. During the summer it would be fine - but it was January and a little heat would have been nice. The room was warm and cozy so it didn't matter too much.

Drymen is a lovely small village being a good location for a base to explore both loch lomond and the trossachs with great bus links with the Trossachs explorer. Winnock hotel itself is luxurious with a maze of many rooms and corridors with great atmosphere especially in the bar and restaurant.

Can be a bit noisy especially if your at the back of the hotel where large coaches arrive late and depart early. We had a meal in the restaurant which was delicious but we felt portions were rather small for the price.

Staff were brilliant and were always helpful especially when our key card for the door didn't work the second day - it was fixed quickly and efficiently! Room had everything we needed for our stay and it was as comfortable as you can get!

Rooms are a tad hot and we tried opening the windows but struggled with the mechanisms a little - though this could have been helped if we asked staff for help but we are all rather socially anxious people!! However, it was still a great stay and we had an excellent time.
