Nicely located hotel with adjacent Marston Inns pub providing us with dinner and breakfast. The location enables exploration of the southern end of Loch Lomond which is a very pretty waterfront area with scenic views and some nice walks. We only stayed for one night but had an enjoyable walk around the park and waterfront area. The room is similar to a Travelodge standard, comfortable, warm and well-equipped.

Nothing, all good and great value.

The hotel is at the edge of Balloch and the place is easily reachable on foot. There are walking/hiking routes within walking distance from the hotel. Plenty of parking spots, and a nice pub/restaurant attached. We had daily breakfast and dinner there and the meals were excellent, plenty of choice too! The people living in the area are also visiting, it's a very welcoming place. The meals are reasonably priced, and easily customizable. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, good bed, quiet surroundings. The bathroom was nice and clean. The staff was very friendly and would offer information about the area when asked; they would be very approachable and show genuine interest in the guests' comfort and how they spent their day.

The shower didn't have a handheld piece, so not getting one's hair wet when showering was a bit tricky (but doable in the end).

My room was quite big and comfortable. The hotel is located a short walk to the center of Balloch. The hotel is a shared property with the Queen of the Loch restaurant and pub, which made it convenient for visitors wanting to eat without driving.

The internet was horrible. It cut out constantly; worst I’ve come across in years and unacceptable for an otherwise nice hotel. I also did not like having to walk over to the restaurant to check-in and for all other issues I needed to discuss with staff. It also seemed strange to not provide breakfast, except for additional charge, when the room price was comparable to guest houses and B&Bs that do. Overall, to corporate and impersonal for me despite the nice room.

Spacious family room, very clean and cosy. TV, hairdryer, kettle, cups, spoons and glasses. Selection of tea, coffee (even decaf!) and milk are included. Modern spotless bathroom with great Dove hand wash and 2-in-1 body wash. Great set of towels. Everything was really thoughtful. Excellent service and friendly staff. Extra bed for the second child was already in the room when we arrived. Online checked-in and check-out makes everything so much faster and easier. Really good cocked breakfast with variety of options. Breakfast for children available for just £2.50. Everything was fresh, hot and delicious. A big thank you to Rebecca for her hospitality and advice about sightseeing!

We received a warm welcome from the woman who was covering hotel reception at the same time as welcoming dinner guests. The room was very clean.

We requested (and received) twin beds - but they were very close together, and one was difficult to get in/out of because it was close to a wall. There were spare pillows which is good, but whichever i chose was too thin by itself, and two together was too thick. The toilet paper in the ensuite was of the lowest quality, which gave me a poor impression of the hotel. Why not spend an extra few pence per roll to give a better impression?

Great staff and service. Lovely breakfast options, either continental or full cooked breakfast. Great choice for evening meals including carvery options. Room had everything we needed, loved the touches like leaving recycling next to the bin and having an option for the room to not be cleaned during our stay. Excellent location within 10 minutes walking distance of Loch Lomond with all the facilities there including cruises, children's facilities, cafes, road train, variety of shops. Lovely outside seating area, perfect for our sunny weekend. Secure card entry to hotel rooms and overnight support if required.

I really can't think of anything that could be better, apart from our car not breaking down :-) The staff were so lovely helping where they could.

Queen of the Loch, Balloch, Loch Lomond. This is part of the Marston's chain. Great location for our needs. The room was just what we required: large enough, comfortable beds and fine en suite bathroom. We were checked in by the delightful Nicola who alongside Grace served us for our evening meal. They were engaging, helpful, efficient and knowledgeable. Both a credit to the Marston chain.

A small quibble is that the restaurant cannot operate a table “tab" system for payment because of previous bad experiences with other customers. This means that if you wish to apply an applicable discount, it may only work once. You could decide to order your entire meal including sweets, coffee and sufficient drinks for the whole meal in one go, or have to queue at the bar numerous times for each separate course and round of drinks and pay multiple bills.

Excellent location, clean, and comfortable. Nothing fancy, but perfect for a one-night stay as we continued on a road trip. Rooms were clean and big enough, and the beds were comfy. The staff was friendly and helpful. There was no refrigerator in the room, and we carry medication that requires refrigeration. They helped us by keeping the medication in the kitchen's refrigerator overnight (in a closed container). They also provided the rooms as requested (close by and with the right type of beds (one queen size, the other with 2 twin beds). Would stay again!

A simple place good for one or two nights, this hotel seems to have been modernized a little bit from the previous existing structure. You could say that looking at the bathroom, which - in our room - was VERY old with some patches. Anyway, the place is clean and comfortable, with high levels of security and very silent. The gigantic inn just a few meters away doesn't bother at all and is quite useful if you don't want to drive. The peer and shops mall is 10 minutes away with a nice walking, so if you plan to take a boat tour this place is almost perfect.

We liked the location and the fact that it was a short walk to the loch. The fact that it was near a pub and also had a Mcdonald's nearby was very good. Lots of parking spaces are available (including electric charging stations for those with electric cars). The room was quite big with a decent size bed and tea/coffee facilities. Bathroom was a standard hotel size (similar to Travelodge/premier inn sizes). Good idea if you are looking for a one nighter stay The shower was decent in temperature and pressure

The bathroom was a bit dull - possibly needs a refresh/update. The shower curtain, whilst a nice one, wasn't doing its job of keeping the water in, so you do have a soggy floor at the end. I think the cleanliness could have been a little better. I grabbed an extra pillow and there was a hair on it so obviously it wasn't changed from someone beforehand and had just been put back. The remote to the TV had lost its back, and taped on which gave it a cheap feel to the room.
