The hotel was lovely. Staff on arrival were friendly and professional. Des introduced himself to us and our children. He went the extra mile and added a birthday balloon to our room as a surprise for our sons third birthday. Really appreciate that little sentiment and our wee boy was delighted! Thank you! Our room was just fab. Spotlessly clean, modern, comfy beds, the room was big and more than enough space for us all, two bathrooms which was a lovely surprise. We had a ground floor room so had our own main door to use to enter/exit the room to go outside. Breakfast in the restaurant was so yummy! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with you and would return here and also recommend to others too! Thank you for a great stay!

The group next door to us were extremely loud throughout the night. I was kept awake for over 2 hours. I am a light sleeper though, the noise didn’t wake my husband or children, thankfully. This isn’t the hotels fault and we’d definitely still return here for another stay in the future. I just wish other people staying in hotels would be more respectful to others, especially through the night. It wouldn’t stop me booking this hotel again though as everything about this hotel and the staff was all just fantastic!

The property was in a great location for exploring the local area with Loch Lomond only 15 mins away by car , train station is at the end of the street along with Sweeneys cruises if you wanted to boat over , there was also an information point in the shop nearby where the staff were very friendly and helpful in advising us on our options . The hotel itself was extremely clean , with wonderful staff who made us feel so welcome - the breakfast is a must 😍

There was not much not to like about the hotel , apart from the hotel restaurant being shut from 4 but we are aware that’s just because it was still out of season .

Property was very well kept, our family room felt very new and cosy, the staff were amazing and were very friendly and helpful, we totally enjoyed our stay, the room was perfect with all amenities we needed, the two door room was brilliant you could exit through the hotel or exit straight into the car park which was perfect to unpack the car. We all slept well and the room for October was warm enough without having to use the heating, we had two bathrooms which was perfect for 4 people and we all appreciated a nice hot bath, lots of tea and coffee supplied and a nice supply of biscuits, breakfast was amazing, and worth it for the extra charge, food was perfect and a very good selection. We really wish we could have stayed longer, and wouldn’t hesitate to return and use this hotel again, highly recommend.

I had a room for a person with disabilities AMAZING After staying two previous nights in 2 shabby, tasteless horrid places, my stay with you was a welcome change The room we had was perfect Huge comfy bed Warm, fan for if too warm, extra pillows, TV with lots of channels 10 steps into the excellent restaurant Very friendly helpful staff throughout the stay, which continued to the restaurant A bathroom which exceeded all expectations of a room for someone with a disability! Spotless, HUGE, great shower, great mirror, shower seat. All looked brand new as if we were the first people through the door Also, added bonus of a back door with parking space outside the door Room 101 I love you

The hotel room, level of cleanliness and friendliness of staff were all first class and I would certainly return to the hotel and have no hesitation in recommending it to others. The dinner was very good although onion rings we ordered had to be sent back, they were burnt and brick solid but were replaced quickly. Overall this hotel was good value for money and was a pleasant surprise given it's price.

However the breakfast was a massive disappointment. Neither my daughter nor I could eat what we were served. We both ordered a roll with sausage- mine was normal and my daughter had the vegetarian option. The rolls were stale and both servings of sausage were inedible. They tasted awful and cheap. After having a really nice dinner, expectations for breakfast were high but I'm afraid neither of us could eat what we were served.

We had a headache at the airport picking up cars, but the hotel staff was very helpful when we arrived VERY late, and it made the different. The room was well proportioned, clean and ventilated. We were a group of six sharing, but we did not feel too crammed in, and with 2 bathrooms in the room all felt well treated. Great location with a pub across the road, Coop a short 5 minute walk away, and right near the Loch. Easy to get to, and easy to travel from. Balloch was clean and non threatening. Very pleasant. Breakfast was lovely.

Room was a bit warm and no way of altering temperature, but.....most people like to be warm? At breakfast, the popcorn chicken on waffles with maple syrup was obviously aimed at the American Market, but my smoked salmon on avocado was generous.

First time staying at the Loch Lomond hotel and it was amazing!!! It really was the perfect stay. The staff are excellent, they go above and beyond. Room was immaculate. Des checked us in at reception, introduced himself and told us what we needed to know about our stay, he made us feel extremely welcome right away. Unfortunately we hadn't booked in to eat before we arrived but Des kindly managed to fit us in for some dinner. Food was definitely some of the best I've ever had. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back really soon! Again, thank you for the perfect stay!

Absolutely nothing!!!

Location fabulous. The photos online don't do it justice. We walked in from the cold to the cosy restaurant and knew we'd struck gold. As a mum travelling with 5 teenage kids, it's hard to find rooms to suit that are affordable. Our room was utterly perfect, the best we've stayed in as our group. One massive room with 6 single beds spaced out around TWO bathrooms with toilets in the middle... my son and I had the single beds in the smaller part, the girls had the 4 in the main part. The big dining table in the middle was the icing on the cake as we do art everywhere we go, and this is the first time we've been able to sit up for it. The kids loved that you could walk round the circle perimeter with bathrooms in the middle. Spotlessly clean, warm and cosy, really calming decor, bright or calm lighting options, sockets for everyone(these are super well considered for families- no fighting, everyone had at least two) Enough hanging space for everyone's coats & soft big fluffy white (not greyish) towels. I liked that you'd committed to providing plenty of simple tea & coffee for everyone, rather than try to accommodate a billion different teas/hot chocs etc. Simple, but generous worked. Two bathrooms meant 6 people could get showered more quickly with no arguments. Great value for money. Meal (reviewed separately) was outstanding. Wherever we go next will be a disappointment!

My only criticism was the 4pm check-in. We had got up at 4am to travel and 2-3pm would have worked much better for us. Equally, I understand that cleaning, etc, has to happen, and it was obvious this is being done to a high standard, which we appreciated.

Very clean and lots of room in the twin room we had. Good to have a small table and two chairs to enjoy a cup of tea. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Beds were comfy and hotel is excellent value for money. Location is great, very short walk from the train station and near lovely park walks as well as Loch Lomond Shores area. Plenty of good places to eat nearby. We ate at restaurant next door for dinner as there was a couple of large bookings in the hotel so we couldn't get dinner there (don't think it would normally be a problem and menu looks good). We had breakfast in the morning which was very good value for the amount served (we both had full Scottish). Highly recommended and will definitely stay again.

Really wasn't anything we could fault.

Location was brilliant, Choice of eating places near the Hotel. Lomond Shores 10 minute drive.. Near to train Station also.. Staff at Hotel were very lovely.

Our Room was far too hot. There were 2 fans in the room already so staff probably know this. Window didnt open much. We would have liked even a small set of drawers to put belongings in but there were none. Only a few coat hangers in an open wardrobe. Beds were very comfortable and has a great shower.
