We recently had the pleasure of staying at Cilbrwyn and it was a truly exceptional experience. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted by Bob and Olha, who made us feel right at home. The room was comfortable and immaculate with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Cilbrwyn is a 140-year-old property that has been lovingly restored by Bob to an amazing level. The attention to detail in every aspect of the property is truly remarkable and adds to the charm and character of the place. Bob and Olha are wonderful hosts who go above and beyond to ensure their guests have a memorable stay. Their warmth and hospitality are second to none, and we felt like part of the family during our time at Cilbrwyn. The location of the property is perfect for exploring the beautiful Swansea Valley and surrounding areas, with the Brecon Beacons and Gower Peninsula within easy reach. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and provided the perfect end to our stay. The view from the breakfast table was breathtaking and added to the overall experience. We cannot recommend Cilbrwyn highly enough and look forward to returning in the near future. Thank you Bob and Olha for an unforgettable stay!

Olha and Bob greeted us on arrival and were very welcoming. We stayed in the Ella room. Which had a very large double and one single bed. The room is lovely with a wooden floor and slanted ceilings and it looked very homely. There are ample coffee and tea making facilities in the room and there’s even a little fridge with fresh milk. The shower was fabulous with rainforest head and massage jets. The view from the dulux window is amazing, you can see for miles, stunning views! We did not have our meals at Cilbrwyn, as we were here to meet family and friends, but both the evening meal and breakfast smelled delicious! Bob and Olha really made us feel at home and we would highly recommend this ‘home from home’ to anyone who would like to visit beautiful South Wales.

The welcome was great as had done a last minute booking. The venue location is amazing just above the hills and garden view was below my bedroom windows. There is a balcony where you can have your meals as the weather permits.Excellent breakfast .Olha and Bob were exceptional hoists despite my late checking it was not a hussle.I would highly recommend and will definitely go back again.Good countryside location, could hear the sound of birds and flowing stream which you won't dream of in the city.
Can be tricky to locate but very easy if you are observant in reading signposts.

We had to book this last minute for 1 night due to an issue with our previously arranged accommodation. It was a present for my mother for mother's day and when everything started going wrong with our original booking I was quite stressed! But thankfully when we arrived at Cilbrwyn we were met with a warm welcome, and even upgraded a room! The hosts were really friendly and the room really lovely and interesting! Ohla told us the history of the house, which was built by Bob and super interesting! The views are looking over the valley and are incredible. The breakfast was above and beyond! I was really worried doing all this last minute and had never used airBNB before, or even booked a holiday before, but I'm so so glad I chose here as it was perfect. They are definitely underselling themselves and we will for sure stay here if we come to this part of Wales again!

The Hosts were wonderful and very happy to talk with us and answer questions about Wales and the area. They were super accommodating. The room was perfect for a couple and one child/teen. It was very cozy but with plenty of room. Also, the location was close to the places we wanted to see as well as in a quiet neighborhood that wasn't congested. Easy close parking was at the door, and they had a charging station for our electric car.

A lovely, peaceful retreat away from noise and traffic. The room was immaculately clean and well presented with everything I needed. Out of my attic window all I could see was a forest of trees and blue sky .. bliss for a country-loving girl like me. I ordered the cooked breakfast for 8.30am and it was ready, piping hot on time to the minute, arguably the best breakfast I have eaten at any B&B. Olha and Bob were charming and enthusiastic hosts who gave me space to myself and time to chat in very appropriate amounts. They also offered suggestions and advice. Personally I loved the natural gardens and landscape and enjoyed taking a stroll around them. I was able to park my car with no problem. I was so tired from my trip I literally flaked out on the sumptuous bed and was off in minutes, so I didn't need an evening meal. Because of the location, there are no cafes, restaurants or shops nearby, so if you want nightlife and bistro dining locally, be advised that this B&B won't suit you unless you have a vehicle you can travel elsewhere. The hosts recommend some restaurants you can drive to, and a couple of takeaways that will deliver so you don't need to go hungry. Cilbrwyn is a lovely place in my opinion and I look forward to going back there again.
There was absolutely nothing that I didn't like. It was blissful.

I wanted to introduce my boyfriend to the concept of a traditional British bed & breakfast, and Bob and Olha's stay exceeded all of our expectations! So friendly and attentive, they welcomed us and even upgraded to a bigger room, which was super spacious, warm and beautifully decorated. The breakfast is out of this world and so worth experiencing, it's huge too! As I'm Ukrainian it was especially pleasing to learn that Olha is Ukrainian also, she showed us lots of Ukrainian books, decorations and ornaments around the house - it truly felt like coming home. We will be back and will recommend Bob & Olha's place to all of our friends!

Staff were very friendly, informative and attentive. I had much more space to use than just the room. The location and property were fascinating providing a much more unique stay away than and hotel could offer.
Nothing. It was great to break a cycle of hotel stays and to find a property description that was true to it's word in every way. I'd definitely stay here again.

Bob and Olha gave me a lovely warm welcome at their retreat home in the woods. Its gorgeous. The accommodation was just as I would have wanted it, with soft towels, an ensuite and shower and lovely views across the village and mountains. I felt so at home. Bob went above and beyond to give me valuable advice about house hunting in the area too! We will definitely be staying with them again in the future.

Perfectly situated for bot the BMW Offroad Skills and Triumphs as well. Great breakfast at extra cost which kept me going all day. Brilliant to have the use of a fridge next to the room, great shower. Also the owners willingness to provide an early breakfast so I could get to the training course.
Minor thing is that the room could use a USB socket.
