First of all, the price was really reasonable. I was worried, thought I should go to a bigger hotel as I was on a work trip but took a chance. Next, the staff were super friendly at every turn (special thanks to Abbie on arrival). The restaurant staff were lovely too. The room wasn’t big but it was beautifully done, apparently just recently refurbished. Very cosy and comfortable as well as Stylish. When I stay at hotels (which is quite a bit), things they drive me nuts are not enough mirrors and long mirrors, not enough plugs and rubbish tea and coffee making/crap shower but all of these were great at this hotel/pub. Only small thing is that the overhead lighting isn’t great on a dark morning when trying to get makeup done! It was very shadowing and one of the mirrors could do with an overhead/light attached but that’s a small thing! Thanks again

The pub and hotel is tastefully decorated and had a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Check in was quick and easy and we were very impressed with the facilities in the room. Thank you very much for an enjoyable stay!
A very small niggle but we went down to try to get a bowl of porridge for our son and a coffee each from the brunch menu after 10am and although there were lots of empty tables, we were told it was a 40 minute wait for the food. The lady we spoke to seemed quite flustered so I’m not sure if it was due to staff illness in the kitchen or something but it was a bit of a shame.

Parking can be difficult. We went on a Sunday, so expected it to be busy. Situated right next to Virginia Water Park, which is just the most amazing place. To park in the park is extremely expensive, so the free parking went along way. We have visited this park many times. The staff were wonderful & very welcoming. The room was perfect. Breakfast was perfect too. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
I've read some of the most unfavourable comments. What I would say, if you want 4 or 5 star hotel, then book a 4 5 star hotel. Its a busy pub, but so perfect for our needs. We had a nice meal there too, although on a Sunday evening, they had run out of roasts.

Excellent location with ample parking on-site. The staff were very helpful and friendly through my stay from the point of checking in and leaving the following morning. I requested an email receipt which was sent 20 minutes after departing. This is somewhere I will be staying when on business in the area moving forward.
The menu is a generic menu which unfortunately isn't seasonal. Too many dishes on the menu would be more suitable to Autumn/Winter and as last week was the hottest so far this year I chose not to eat at the hotel and went over the road to Piccolinos.

The whole place felt cozy and staff were always helpful and kind. The location was the biggest positive for me - it backs on to the Virginia Water entrance of Great Windsor Park. I was happily able to spend a few days wandering around the many different parts of that stunning park! Room was good and so were the breakfasts :~)
Using the Wheatsheaf's public pub wifi was fine speed wise but a tad annoying to have to reconnect when starting / stopping using a device. A tiny gripe and very manageable even for someone who's quite online.

We had lunch on arrival which was lovely and the staff were very efficient and friendly.Room large clean and comfortable and so very close to Virginia water which was a bonus. Everything we needed was provided and a great base for the wedding we went to in Windsor without the inflated prices.
Although clean, place could do with some TLC as a little tired.Curtain broken and surprised that with such a large bathroom, little space to place toiletries, could do with some kind of shelving unit. Generally could do with a lick of paint and some minor repairs

The rooms were clean and nicely decorated. The bar, restaurant and staff were lovely. We really liked the outdoor area, it was a lovely setting for an evening drink. Everyone was so helpful. Very easy location to find, park and good distance from Ascot races.
The cleaner walked into our room without knocking at half past 10, luckily we had just finished getting dressed otherwise we would have had to lodge an embarrassing complaint.

We had dinner there two nights running & the food excellent, not silly money. Wine/beer the right price. The continental breakfast had a good range of food & the only minor complaint was the coffee was not good - bitter. The staff were excellent, welcoming & attentive, with a nice smile. The quality of accommodation was very good, with a high standard of re-furbishment, soundproofing & fittings.
The bitter coffee.

The service in the bar and restaurant were excellent. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The food and drink were very good.
The room was a bit dated and very hot (the AC was ineffective). The bathroom wasn't well equipped (eg lack of towel rail space and broken shower gel holder). We left our phone charger and rang to enquire if it could be posted to us at our cost. We were told that we would have to collect it in person- it's a long journey - if we lived nearby we wouldn't have needed to book a hotel! Bit disappointing.

Hotel was great. Well placed for our visit to Windsor Castle for the St George's Day Parade. We also managed a little walk to the Cascades in Windsor Great Park. Unfortunately, we didn't have much time to do much else due to spending too much time shopping in Bracknell earlier. The bar staff popped our food order in quickly - just beating the kitchen closing. The meal was lovely. Definitely nothing like the awful lunch we had at TGIF earlier. The room was bigger than expected and we made use of the iron and ironing board...very useful. TV available. Enough plugs as well. The bathroom was huge. Plenty of hot water. We would definitely use the hotel again.
The only reason I'm not giving a 10 is because the air con unit randomly came on and off through out the night. Maybe temperature related but to be honest, it wasn't much use...the window worked far better.
