The location was perfect for our group trip to Royal Ascot. Carvery was very tasty and breakfast good. Staff were accommodating and helpful and plenty of parking. Good seating outside for an early coffee.

Rooms were tired but met our needs for one night. The bathroom could do with updating, on previous reviews I saw notes about issues with the toilets. No top seat, stained and a poor flush. Our shower door was broken and unable to be closed. Missing handle on window.

The room was lovely and spacious and clean well presented and had all you needed for a lovely comfortable stay. Susan in particular was a fantastic member of the team, extremely accommodating and polite. Our autistic son adored her, we thought she was fab and we’d come back just to see her again!! Honestly a super member of the team and went above and beyond!! You’ll lucky to be blessed with such a wonderful hard worker!

The tv didn’t work on any tv programs the signal was just terrible and the internet didn’t seem to want to connect either.. was told it could have been down to the recent and ongoing roadworks right outside.. also a small shame there wasn’t a lift for our heavy suitcase but we managed..

The room was terrific. Clean nicely furnished and good size. Nice big tv. Very accessible as on the ground floor and close to access for car park. Housekeeping staff were very helpful in providing us with an iron and ironing board and topping up our tea and coffee.

Breakfast could have been much better. No cereal or continental breakfast option. We had to pay for orange juice It was just a small selection of fried food available at an all you can eat counter, which was lukewarm at best. Only fried eggs. Very limited outdated selection. Typical Toby fare which was obviously popular as there were queues of diners coming in for breakfast each day.

It was fun staying at a restaurant/inn! The walk was a bit far if you’re only in town to visit Windsor Castle, but worth it if you are staying there in order to be close to Heathrow. We took the train from London in the morning, cab with luggage to Toby Carvery, walked to visit Windsor in the afternoon, dinner at the Carvery and then had only a very short ride to Heathrow the next morning, which allowed us to skip the rush hour traffic from London before our flight home. It was a pleasant way to end our trip. The accommodations were simple and basic, but clean, comfortable, and surprisingly quiet given the restaurant literally on the other side of the wall.

No complaints, the property was great.

We thought we would eat there as staying there.itvwas not good,everything we asked for there was none.even no lettuce for prawn cocktail.when I decided what I wanted after third time,it came and was cold,not Luke warm cold,so could not eat it,and as nothing else available could not order anything.the young girl who served me,I felt so sorry for her,she had to keep coming back to me saying things were not available,she was a nice girl.we did get the meal free,but really you should have basics like salad lettuce .the hotel and our room were good,also breakfast too

Good large and warm room, comfortable bed, lovely clean shower. Tea and coffee facilities were good in the room. It was great being able to go to the restaurant for a cooked breakfast and for the evening carvery meal. Easy access into Windsor by a ten minute bus ride [bus stop is right outside the Toby Carvery] and we were also able to walk to the castle via the Great Park and up the long walk [couple of hours walk]. Free parking was great and we didn't need to use the car while we were there.

The only negative really is that you are in the Heathrow flight path and the first plane seems to go out about 6.15am, though even then it was not particularly loud.

Disappointing breakfast for my wife in particular. She doesn't eat bacon or sausage and there were no eggs so she had mushrooms on toast the first morning. The second morning there were no mushrooms either, when asked the chef was quite dismissive saying there wer some earlier. Seems that unless their supply department send food, then the customer doesn't come into the equation.

For short stay it was a decent room, comfortable bed with everything we needed. Parking was easy. Shower was clean as was the room.

The rat boxes by the back entrance were not a welcome sight. Nor were the broken scruffy paving stones. The greasy haired staff member, with his jeans hanging down and a fixed patronising tone frankly could have been straight out of Fawlty Towers. We passed the gloopy gravy and pureed vegetable dishes of the carvery on the way to the room, the smell followed us so we decided not to eat there.

Don't get room 204 Right outside the rear kitchen area where all staff are cleaning, noise was really bad until around 12am. Banging bins, shouting and loud music from the kitchen. I understand jobs need to be done but the noise went on to long, that's with both my windows shut. Spoiled a great place and sleepover.. I would stay there again but would make a request not to get a room out the back near the kitchen. NIGHMARE!!!
