The breakfast was what sold it for me, when booking. The booked Full English exceeded my expectation. I also ate (alone, sad I know) and had the rump steak, chips, onion rings and blue stilton sauce, both evenings as it was of high quality and a decent portion size. Followed by the ice cream. Bed was comfortable and the shower was excellent. I loved the medium sweet cider and bought 12 bottles to bring back to Pembrokeshire as it was truly an excellent pint of locally produced cider. The staff we very friendly and helpful.

The room had a slight chill. However, it was unseasonably cooler for early September and I just wore my hoody. This is NOT a complaint as I would have found heating, stifling.

Location is in the very wide High Street. I had no difficulty parking but I went late on a Saturday night so may be different in weekdays. The reception and breakfast staff were very polite, friendly and helpful. Really genuinely friendly and helpful staff. Thank you so much Dolphin. The room was very clean with tea/coffee making facilities and supply of biscuits and 2 small bottles of water. The shower was roomier than some others I have seen. The price was very reasonable comparing with other places within the half hour travel vicinity. The breakfast was perfect.

Room was nice, perhaps slightly dated but the facilities worked and bed was comfortable. My kind of place! Staff were helpful and polite, and the evening meal we had in the restaurant was absolutely fantastic! Lovely outdoor area with plenty of seating too with options for sun and shade! We didn't have breakfast due to leaving earlier than service time, but it looked like there was a selection of cereals, fruit and teas alongside your choice of cooked breakfast when we left.

Nothing really - it suited the purpose of the stay very well and I would go back in the future. If I really had to nit pick I would mention the step immediately through opening a heavyish door on the way downstairs while carrying luggage takes a bit of navigating. And if you are out in the courtyard beware of idiot drivers speeding through the middle of the seating area (not the hotels fault obviously), me and another guest were in stitches at the stupidity.

The staff immediately made me feel very welcomed and safe, the room was stunning, the sheets were super soft and clean and I really loved their considerations for the environment regarding towel washing. The food was absolutely incredible. I don't know where to begin with just how tasty the food was. O had a lot of sudden change of plans and uncertainties during my stay for reasons beyond my control, but the dolphin and all their staff made me so comfortable I managed to get a little bit of peace because of them, and actually finished a drawing for once! I will most definitely be coming back. Thank you so much to all the staff

I was travelling with my dog and the hotel were exceptionally helpful. They provided some lovely soft dog bedding and bowls. At breakfast I asked for a sausage for the dog as we were going off to a competition and I wanted some nice rewards for her, and this was nicely wrapped in foil and cut into small pieces. There was a fairly noisy event going on in the bar but my room was very quiet and everything was shut down at midnight (I was well asleep by then). The hotel staff warned me about that and were very reassuring.

I didn't realise there was parking at the rear of the hotel, but there was a free carpark near by any way so that didn't really matter but better signage at the entrance might help.

This is an amazing Hotel and pub. The staff are so friendly and offer a warm and sincere welcome from the start. The food is delicious always served beautifully, and you know there's an excellent chef behind this food. Breakfast is great and you can tell the produce is fresh. You can eat in the bar or in the dining area. My room was clean and warm. They make sure you have lots of tea and coffee and hot chocolate. The toiletries arranged beautifully on the bed along with the towels just adds a bit of luxury to your stay. I will definitely stay here again!

Cooked breakfast was outstanding. Excellent scrambled eggs, presented beautifully. Partner enjoyed mushrooms, bacon, tomatoes... There's a help yourself arrangement for cereals, toast, juice and hot drinks. Food was good quality and even had local butter and tea. Regretted not staying in for dinner the night before! Room was nice and warm and bigger than expected. Good hot shower and good towels. Everything very clean.

It's a very old coaching inn and so some of the public areas are looking tired, but the important stuff is all in place and we'd stay here again.

Was a single room so not expecting a football field in size, but the en-suite was very spacious and shower was very easy to get in out of. Bed was very comfortable and clean, as was the rest of the room. Breakfast was superb, most of it looked and tasted if locally sourced, speaking of which had to leave early, but manager was happy to ensure order was taken as early as possible. All the staff in the hotel and pub were friendly and welcoming.

Nothing, very traditional pub with easy parking and comfortable rooms. If this was an episode of "Four in a Bed" would have complained to management about a cobweb at the top of velux roof window, but would have been very churlish of me, as was very small and in corner and did not exactly ruin my stay :)

The room was big in size and had a kettle and coffee/tea tray to make things in the room. The cups also had biscuits and there were cute little bottles of soap on each bed.there was a TV in each room and more than enough towels. Two hair dryers were supplied and the bathroom was a decent size with a very nice shower. The breakfast was amazing! Additional to a full English breakfast was a lovely little room where you could help yourself to ereals, toast and multiple drinks.

The walls were quite thin so we could hear the other guests at times. The parking was a little difficult to find, however the friendly staff happily informed us where it was quickly once asked.

The staff were really friendly and very helpful. The food was tasty with large portions. The breakfast is great as you get a selection of toast, cereal orange juice, tea and coffee. Then you can choose from a full English or omelette. I had the ribs one evening and they were really nice. Our room was nice with a very comfy firm bed. It was basic but absolutely fine for what we needed. We were staying with a lot of my family and they were all very pleased with their stay. I would definitely recommend it.

The hotel looked a bit tired but I think the current managers have only just taken over and they are going to be doing it up over time.
