Location was perfect, room was amazing with views over lake, dinner was really good, the spa area was nice n relaxing
The breakfast was awful, so lackluster definitely not 4* quality ive had better at my local cafe! Luckily i filled up with fruit before...the parking was over priced which would stop us from staying more than 1 night, the drinks were very overpriced too

The breakfast was perfect. The options were great and the cooked breakfast was cooked to perfection and tasted so good. It was right on the lake and so peaceful to swim in the pool looking at the lake. The spa was so relaxing, not stuffy.
Mum and I were a little disappointed in dinner. It was described as fine dining and certainly not cheap. I wanted a treat for mum but she got the lunch menu as she is vegetarian. The lasagne was just slopped onto plate with a packet of salad put in a bowl with no seasoning. My fish was cooked perfectly but with a tiny spoon full of kale. Such a shame as breakfast was so perfect. I don't think dinner should be described as fine dining.

Location was excellent, room was very good, staff were friendly and helpful, swimming pool was great and lovely changing rooms. The breakfast was nice. Bed was comfortable.
The internet was awful, you logged in and it logged straight out again, regardless of where you were in the hotel but especially frustrating in the bedroom. Wasn’t suitable for any business work. Could do with some boosters and USB points. The coffee in our view was poor for breakfast and needed a bit more flavour . There was a leak in the restaurant which dripped on the carpet now and again. The shower could do with updating.

The reception staff are exceptional at this hotel. Every member of staff absolutely brilliant. A special mention goes to Keelan who went the extra mile to make our stay exceptional. We booked room 101 and Keelan had originally booked this room which met everything we asked for in our original booking. Such a professional team.
The breakfast itself had great choice on the cold section -however the hot food was not always hot. Saying this it would not stop me booking again because plenty of choices from the cold section. Beautiful dining room views.

The location of the hotel is perfect for your visit to Lake Windemere, with an car park nearby for guests. We loved the family room, which included bunk beds. It was nice for our son to have his own space in the bunk bed nook, along with his own TV. The large hotel bar area offers beautiful views across the lake, and the grassy terrace outside is a nice respite from the hustle and bustle of town. We didn't have any spa treatments, but did enjoy access to the swimming pool.
The restaurant downstairs was perfect for the buffet breakfast, which offered a wide selection of food to start your day. We did have dinner at the restaurant, which for an evening meal, felt a bit overpriced for what was offered...however, it was definitely a beautiful view of the lake!

The location,friendly staff,room sorted daily
We had a deluxe room with a balcony unfortunately when sat on the seats on the balcony all you could see was a brick wall to see the view of the boats coming and going was to stand up and lean on the wall. The brick wall wants replacing with a glass panel wall.No point paying £1465 for a room with a balcony when you have to stand up for the view when you should have that view relaxing sitting down.Reported balcony light not working not sorted out when we left.I chose the Old Endland for a treat for my wife who has dementia and i am recovering from heart failure.

Magnificent views from many rooms and from the lounge and restaurant. Spotless rooms thanks to Fay and Erica and the excellent housekeeping team. Exceptionally helpful staff taking my parents' mobility into account helping us find the right room, parking, being patient when they couldn't hear or decide on things- thank you Cherrie in reservations, Ahmed, Kelly and Keelan on reception, John the concierge, Kai in the restaurant and Martin & Lorraine in the lounge. All of your hard work is so much appreciated. A la carte food substantially more interesting (and more expensive) than table d'hote which doesn't change. Lovely pool & spa but last entry is before 6 which means that you can't get in if you go out for the day.
Early evening closure in spa and one grumpy member of spa staff (A-) who despite being friendly with members seemed to view hotel guests as an inconvenience- a pity in an otherwise perfect stay.

Great location in Bowness centre with easy access to nearby pubs and restaurants. Great views from the restaurant and terrace.
Room was ok on ground floor but one of the first to be passed by other guests. Also the view out across a bituminised rooftop was not great, although there was a partial view of lake and pierhead dock. Breakfast was fine, but changed from the weekend when it was self serve (preferred) to brought to table on the weekdays. A niggling point was that we had to ask for more butter for toast every day, rather than just having a serving each provided at the table. Parking arrangements were awkward and very expensive and the need for a fob to enter wasn't explained...we had to ask. It also meant that we would have had to park outside the hotel, obtain the fob and then drive back to the car park. Just give us the fob before we go out for the day and collect it when we return.

Staff and location
Room was not what I expected asked for a large bath and was given a room with no bath. Room had a marvellous view but was not what you expect for a superior deluxe king no bath

Clean and tidy, great location for all amenities, good facilities and staff couldn’t do enough they were very friendly. Breakfast was delicious!
We’d booked a spa day for the Saturday and the pool was full of screaming children all day. Not very relaxing when we’d purposefully gone away to get away from ours 🤣 (children pool hours are 10-5) Our Room was opposite the back of the stags pub about 50 metres away and so heard lots of fighting/screaming/shouting around 1am which woke us on our second night. £20 per night parking charge is very steep and should be included in the room rate with it being the most expensive hotel in the area.
