Beautiful accommodation, really lovely quiet location and typical Cotswolds style. So cosy inside and room was perfect. Comfy bed, great shower. Tasty breakfast. Nice pub style downstairs and games available to play which was nice for a chilled evening. Lots of parking on site, large outdoor area when it was warm and sunny. Reasonably priced. Staff very helpful and friendly, would definitely stay again.

Food was slightly overpriced in our view for nice meals but nothing fancy for the price, as was the alcohol.. pricey for a standard glass of wine.

The property was set in an idyllic location and oozed with old English charm. Our room was spacious, comfortable and very clean. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. It certainly set you up for the day.

I had used the the hotel website to ask for additional requirements for our stay but on arrival some of these had not been done. However the manager went above and beyond to sort this out and all ended very well.

Food was good, hearty breakfast and varied. All day food menu was limited but pleasant. Staff were very efficient and accommodating. Lovely roaring fires in the bar. Lots of history and character to the building. Lots of walks to explore when the weather is dry.

In our room the mattress needs replacing, it wasn't firm, very bouncy. Bedroom and bathroom could do with a refurbishment. Damp smell in the corridor outside our room.

Definitely best place to stay. We are 100% coming back next year. Very clean. Love the garden outside for my dog . Dog friendly and staff there were very very friendly, helpful. Nice place to relax and enjoy your stay. The food is delicious. The atmosphere is so good and you feel so relaxed there. Old style building and fireplace making you so cozy and comfortable. Pls book your stay . We are from London and I can’t wait to be back there.

Nothing! All was perfect!!!!

Breakfast was great. The room comfy and cosy. The place has “olde worlde” charm and feel to it, and we liked it, a lot. The bar is a small maze of nooks and crannies and that makes it fun.

I’m being really picky but arriving at 3pm i really think the room should have been ready. I don’t know if it is a value for money place, it’s great but perhaps a little expensive for what’s on offer.

We had the most amazing time at the old swan and Minster Mill. Cannot fault the place at all. It was snowing when we came and very Christmassy just before Christmas. The staff were excellent , food and spa excellent. Room also very good. Afternoon tea exceptional with some lovely. We liked our stay as we had the best of both.... We had a quaint cosy stay here, had spa treatments, but also went out in Witney on the Saturday night. We are a a couple in our 30s, and didn't rate Witney for a night out but nice as a town in the day. We weren't expecting a night out really as it was a country stay. If venturing into Witney, go to the Plough Inn pub - food and drinks exceptional. Went for some drinks after. Maybe we didn't find the right places but didn't rate the nightlife, seemed to be wetherspoon type places. We wished we just went to the plough and back to the bar at the old swan, as it is really lovely. The old swan does great pub food and has a really nice cosy bar area with open fires. Staff very attentive. Breakfast very good and staff attentive too. If venturing out to Witney(or anywhere) uber doesn't work as remote, ask the reception desk for their taxi driver as he does a deal and very friendly. On the Sunday we went for a good snowy stroll around the Minster Lovell ruins which we very much enjoyed before travelling back. Very nice place. 100% reccomend to anyone looking for a quainte cosy stay.

Need a full length mirror in the old swan bedrooms. Can't speak for minster mill as our room wasn't in there. Also , the rooms were not very sound proof. We could hear a man on the phone in the room next to us and could hear every word he was saying. Found it a bit off-putting personally for a romantic weekend away as not very private! I suppose nothing can be done about this as it is an old building but worth bearing I mind. Also, the steps were very steep up to the rooms. Fine for us as young and fit but probably worth warning for old people and for high heels. Overall, we had a truly exceptional weekend away and these are minor areas to improve. Sorry to nit-pick!

Period character and charm. Personal service. Excellent meals

Very steep stairs to the first floor. One of the rooms smelled of damp due to a leak under the wash hand basin. It was reported and the staff were hugely apologetic, making a significant reduction to the bill to compensate for the issue. Now that they are aware of it, I have no doubt they will prioritise correcting it for future guests.

Lovely property and village, the bar downstairs was open late, lots of grounds out back (including a playground), which is great for those with kids! The rooms have been refurbished quite stylishly and the bed was very comfortable.

Heat wave this year, so the room was definitely a bit hot and the windows were too small to let through any air. The service at breakfast was a bit slow - food ok. But overall, a really pleasant stay over the weekend in the Cotswolds.

It is a lovely hotel in a nice setting.

My car was damaged by another customer while on the carpark (who didn’t leave their details) While I appreciate this is not the fault of the property it did ruin our stay. I did inform Old Swan but have heard nothing back so I guess this is where ‘park at own risk’ comes into play.

A lovely hotel set in lovely grounds, if you are after a peaceful relaxing break you cant go wrong with the " old swan"

The hotel was wonderful, you got a sense of its ancient history in the architecture, but it also has a contemporary feel about it , perfecting modern day comfort & luxury alongside its 14th century origins. Its a few minutes walk from Minster Lovell Hall which is now managed by English Heritage, when you learn that Richard 3rd visited the hall just 2 years before his defeat at Bosworth in 1485 you really get a sense of how old this landscape is
