Daniel and all the staff at the Evenlode were really friendly, welcoming, professional and very helpful. The room was nicely decorated and modern and the bed was comfortable. I loved the little touch of the towel 'elephant'! The restaurant served a lovely dinner with great service and the pretty outside area was nice for sitting out with a cocktail. Plenty of parking and in a good location for Witney. The road outside is a main road with traffic lights nearby but I personally didn't hear any traffic noise from our room. As the hotel doesn't serve breakfast, the team recommended a very nice cafe in the town which we contacted to book a table, so that was easy. There were also cereal bars and fruit in the room which was a great touch, as well as water and tea and coffee making facilities. The room had a fan in it which was fab as we stayed on a hot night. It was a lovely stay and the atmosphere of the hotel was very welcoming. Would definitely stay again! I meant to select 10 out of 10 but accidentally clicked 9 and can't go back and edit my score, apologies! Thank you to the whole team - everyone I met was lovely.

The Evenlode only has 7 rooms which was lovely . Staff made us feel very welcome, the pub was very clean and going up to our room had a lovely smell as did our room which was a good size with a king size bed. Great outside area to sit and a drink. Good selection of food on offer in the restaurant. Even though they don't offer breakfast it was still worth staying, there is a cafe down the road with variety of breakfasts available. Tea and coffe available in room with a bottle of fresh water instead of getting water out of tap which was nice.

There is nothing that we disliked about this hotel.

Really convenient location for Oxford and the Cotswolds as it was right by the A40. Despite this my room was very quiet as it was at the back. The food in the restaurant was very good - the service a little slow at times but I think this was because they were short-staffed. Everyone was friendly and welcoming.

I was surprised that they didn't do breakfast although it must have said this in the details and I just didn’t see it. I would like to recommend the Wholesome Earth cafè in Mill St Eynsham where I ate every morning! Some more storage for clothes would be welcome- I don't think 3 coat hangers on a rail is enough in a double room. The room was tasteful and comfortable but they need to replace the window frames.

Loved the style of the bedroom, cleanliness - fresh towels daily. Restaurant menus excellent and dishes fulfilling and even exceeding expectations. Despite being on a very main road, quiet. Friendly staff.

Sadly, a duck breast was not cooked as ordered and was all but inedible - problem rectified with apologies. Meal service perhaps a little rushed - even when we asked for a lull, the next course arrived in a couple of minutes. And, oddly, room not cleaned/restocked on Sunday!

The location was ideal for what we were doing that weekend, breakfast wasn’t provided although apples, snack bars and a variety of drinks were. We knew in advance and brought something with us. However we visited Summertown on the Sunday morning and were greatly impressed by the number of cafes where we could have had breakfast and the market there was lovely. The Evenlode did have meals for the Saturday night which was great. The room was clean and the bed comfortable, I liked the decor and the room names! All the staff we spoke to were welcoming.

Continental breakfast would have been nice or the ability to order one.

We booked quite late so the kitchen was already closed when we arrived. Despite this, the manager went above and beyond and asked the kitchen staff to make something for us. They made the most delicious ploughman's platter for us. This is a beautiful country style pub with a lovely outdoor seating area. The staff are young and vibrant and very friendly. We recommend that you stay here, you won't be disappointed!

staff were so friendly and extremely accommodating, John was so lovely and made sure our stay was perfect and we had all that we needed, gorgeous little pub with a clean and comfortable room! Sunday lunch was one of the best we’ve ever had. highly recommend staying here if you’re in the area, we stayed after a trip to Bicester village and was only a 20 minute drive! thank you, and we hope to be back again soon!

Cleanliness, after some recent shocking stays this place was spotless. The staff were great and welcoming, the food was of a high standard and a good bar. The room was small but we'll laid out, good TV, heavy curtains kept the light out and a decent shower with good water pressure, personally I would like to turn the heat up a notch but it was fine to soak away the aches from a hard day at work. The elephant.

No breakfast (not normally an issue for me but I like the act of getting up for breakfast) that said, cerial bars and fruit were welcome and a very good range of teas and coffees. It's close to the A40 so there is a bit of road noise but as the room faced west it was minimal, getting in and out of the drive is a matter of waiting for the lights down the road to change

Extremely comfortable bed and bedding. Lovely large and powerful shower. Friendly staff.

No breakfast! we have never stayed in a hotel previously that did not offer breakfast which is part of the whole package of a night away without the kids!! Leaving next morning was a bit strange. leave your key on the bed and let yourself out…. The windows also need some work, it could be very draughty in winter.

Fantastic food, great room, massive shower, smart TV. A last-minute booking, they made sure I was fed as the kitchen was closing. If I was at home, I would have liked that plate clean!! The room was huge and beautiful, quiet and after a good scrub, a smart TV, ment I didnt have to catch up on a phone or tablet.

Leaving in the morning... but even the coffee poaching was great!
