I think room 6needed to be updated bed was a double but to big for that room only big enough for 1person as the person near the wall had to climb over the other person to get out are crawl to bottom of bed to get out as I’m 75 I found it very difficult if I had viewed the room before I would not booked it but I know there were better rooms because I saw the one across from me which had been updated but I still paid full price food very good room was clean but very hard to open and close the windows all staff were very good yes I would stay again but not in room 6

Sorry wrote it wrong way around loved the house and the grounds staff very nice lovely hot water for shower comfy bed very clean just room6was suitable for me the breakfast was the best I’ve had very nice hot cooked well

Lovely little quant hotel. Comfy and good value. Dated decor, but what would you expect otherwise from a private family run hotel in a grade 2 listed building. Fascinating decor with antiques The beds were comfy and I had a good nights sleep. The nice English breakfast was freshly cooked to order and avaialble from 7am . The taxi service from there was easily arranged. The owner is very helpful and WiFi is available . Will definitely stay here again on my next business trip. Next time I will sit in the garden a bit as well as there is seating available outside

It's a bit difficult to find as the biggest covered the sign

The hotel is really quirky and we loved all the old decorations and items in the communal areas. The gardens were lovely and the hotel has a large carpark. The rooms were clean and well presented and the staff member I met was friendly. The hotel is dog friendly and does not charge extra for this which is nice.

The rooms only had one pillow per bed. During our stay the weather was really hot, we were staying with our dog and this made it uncomfortable for him as there is no air conditioning and no fan was provided. It would have been nice to have a mini fridge in the room as the hotel does not have any facilities for obtaining cold drinks in the hot weather. We were woken up before 9am on Sunday morning by loud drilling directly outside the hotel due to road works- while this is not necessarily the hotels fault it would have been nice to be pre warned about the noise disturbance.

This is the second time I have stayed here. Breakfast was excellent, made to order and fantastic value for money! The Hotel has so much character and history which we found so interesting and fascinating. Keith was very helpful and attentive. My mum, who needed disabled access, was given a ground floor room, nothing was too much. Keith was very attentive and helpful. Free WIFI and Free parking. This will be our first choice when staying overnight to visit our daughter and son in law. Highly recommended!

There was nothing we didn’t like.

We ended up staying here as I was attending a gig at the Robin 2 venue which was less than 10 minutes drive away. The owner, Keith, checked us in and offered unlimited breakfast at £8 per person, which we accepted. The stairs up to our room were quite steep so Keith very kindly offered to carry my Mum's luggage up to the room. We had a twin room which was quite large and a big bathroom with bath and overhead shower. The beds were extremely comfortable, the water was hot and there was plenty of tea/coffee/biscuits in the room. We were only there for one night, but there was plenty of storage space for anyone wanting to stay a few nights. There is a supermarket less than a 10 minute walk away. We were glad we ordered the breakfast as there was plenty to choose from...full English, fruit, cereal, yoghurt, etc. Now, the house itself is quite 'old fashioned' as it is known as a local house of history. I can see how some people might be put off by this, but we found the array of antiquities and quirkiness of the house interesting. I will be checking availability if I ever need to stay in the area in the future.

I call this place quaint. The price per night was very competitive for a budget quality stay, Very clean, good welcome, antiques everywhere. Breakfast offered as an optional extra, but looked well worth paying more for- I don`t take breakfast so suited me well. My room was very spacious with well maintained period features such as a massive fireplace, original leaded windows. The bed was very comfortable and the room was made up daily Loads of places to eat and drink within a mile of property Shower and bathroom were clean and of a good standard.

It does what it says on the tin

The full English Breakfast served in my room, because my dog could not sit with me in the restaurant, was amazing. The full bath was very relaxing. The room was quiet and very clean, and the beds very comfortable. I arrived late, and was the last to check out the following morning. The staff were very attentive and caring, I could not have asked for more. They have lovely antiques and it is a very interesting place to stay. Very friendly towards the dog. The staff were truly dog friendly, not just tolerant. I was made to feel very welcome. And no extra charge for the dog, which was very much appreciated.

I have not yet found a hotel that has facilities for charging the car. There are more and more electric cars on the road and they take a few hours to fully charge, and so the facility that would allow car charging overnight, would be very much appreciated.

Picked the hotel for its proximity to KK’s Steel Mill . We were met by Keith who was friendly and very helpful . The hotel is old , quirky and has character and a soul . Loved it ! If you like modern , shiny and clinical don’t bother …. The room was very comfortable with a well stocked hospitality tray . The breakfast ( for a small supplement) was excellent value for money : hot, freshly cooked , plentiful and good quality . We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely return when next attending a gig in the area . Thanks Keith and his team

Lots of character the hotel dates back to 1909 and it has retained its oak doors/panels and lead light windows. Friendly, helpful owner who likes antiquities which decorate the building. Inexpensive, and good value with a nice well prepared English breakfast as an option. Generally clean, nice big bathroom which looked to be recently re-tiled, comfortable bed. Good location for my destination - Halfpenny Green aerodrome.

Only minor issues - bedroom ceiling was in a poor condition possibly due to a leak and looked like a work in progress. Only one pillow. Some traffic noise due to being on a busy road.

I did not have a breakfast at the hotel. As regards the location,on a map it looks far out from the centre of town but in reality it's not. The central area of Wolverhampton which has got a lot of interesting places in it and good travel links is a bit cut off by a huge ring road system probably built round in the 1970s when that sort of thing was thought to be a good idea. But once you have negotiated this in your car or on a bus the hotel is less than ten minutes away. Also right by the hotel run 3 bus routes that take you either into town or to some other good places to go so it's got great travel connections.

I liked it all really. Was excellent.
