The front desk guy was a character. I appreciate that he let me check in a little bit early …room was nice. Had a refrigerator and the bed was excellent.

Unfortunately, I had a room facing the street and even with a thick windows,It was very noisy. Next time Id request a different room -there seems to be some issue with the hot and cold water in the sink you put on the cold and it actually was starting to get hot And vice versa ,shower work pretty well but parking is a bit sketchy just an open underground lot. You could easily have some sort of crime down there, and No one would know.

Check in and out were flawless. The room was clean and comfortable. It had great decorations and an old school vibe. I liked that it had a refrigerator, microwave and Keurig coffee maker in the room. The best part of all was that the hotel was close to where I needed to be.

No hair dryer in the room. I specifically didn't bring a hair dryer, and I was very disappointed that there wasn't one provided in my room. Apparently, there was one in my son and daughter-in-law's room - I didn't find this out until after check out. Loud traffic at 4:30 AM. NOT the Carlyle's fault at all! A large truck had an alarm going off at 4:30 AM just outside my room (that faced the street) that woke me, and I couldn't sleep after that. At first, I didn't know if it was a fire alarm for the hotel or what it was.

It is close to the freeway and restaurants. It has underground parking and a convenient elevator. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are spacious. Great coffee!

My car was side swiped in the underground garage because of tight parking spaces. No breakfast even though they advertise photos of breakfast being served. It is really hard to get out of the garage on to the street. The TV kept losing channels, leaving little to watch. There is very loud road noise if your room is on the street side.

I needed a hotel to stay overnight to be close to my Doctor's Office in a town I do not live in, in order to manage to get to my appointment on time early the next morning. This hotel is in a perfect location to reach my Dr.'s office, and has a friendly staff, comfortable accommodations, safe parking facilities below the hotel, with nice elevator, 24/7 fresh coffee available in lobby, beautifully decorated lobby area and eating area.

Though there is nothing they can do about this, I DID have difficulty when pulling out of the underground garage, to turn LEFT to go in the direction of my Dr. Office; I had to turn right, do several blocks until I found a left turn OK lane to do a U-turn lane.

SIMPLY...... "THE BEST" !!! * EVERYTHING WAS GREAT !!! I EVEN LOVE THE FACT THAT STARBUCK'S IS ONLY 50 YARDS AWAY. TRUE STORY. THIS IS A PERFECT PLACE TO STAY . Very comfortable and unexpectedly beautiful decor. Geographically the hotel was well located for San Jose business. However, the hotel is located on a main street and the surrounding area is not as nice as the hotel. I will return without a doubt.

Th street noise in the morning was very noticeable. The sound of motorcycles passing disrupted the peaceful room. At one point, multiple sirens passed reflecting the area where the hotel is located.

Very nice lobby and room overall, easy check in and out, pleasant staff, great room and location for the price, variety of food options within walking distance

Bed and pillows were too soft, tiny blood stain on sheet, floors in room and bathroom felt sticky/old/dirty, smokey smell in non-smoking room, janky patio door that opened to shared patio (with the whole first floor), tv and tv guide outdated

Nice, clean, spacious room in a charming hotel. The WiFi was strong, parking was free in the garage underneath, there was free coffee in the lobby and the front desk was friendly and helpful.

Parking spaces are tight but nothing unmanageable. Not too much within walking distance so we had to drive to get food etc but we knew this when we booked the hotel!

We were visiting family who live in a tiny house. The hotel was clean and quiet, in spite of its close proximity to the freeway. A great place for a good night’s sleep (between the bouts of family drama). A restful sanctuary.

It’s located on a main avenue and it’s right turn only coming out of the driveway. You have to go around the block to go left.

THE MAN AT THE FRONT DESK WALKED OVER TO ME AT THE LOBBY AND SAID HEY YOU HAVE BEEN WAITING HERE FOR 15 MINUTES AND WE HAVE A 15 MINUTE TIME LUMIT. RUDE BEHAVIOR. HE THEN SAID , SOOOO, GET GOING .
