A nice property, our bedroom was large and comfortable, we enjoyed it. The hotel's location is good, a fair view of the rock from the balcony. Breakfast was good, contental style with a fair choice. One member of staff stood out, a new lady at reception, she was a delight, consistent, very helpful and full of smiles.

There is an overall lack of effort in some areas, the breakfast room wasn't prepared in the morning, you had to get your own chairs and table in position and they looked like they hadn't been cleaned since the last use? The staff seemed happy to play on their phones and chat while the guests struggled to find breakfast ingredients that had run out, they weren't best pleased if you disturbed them. You had to request (every day before 10:00) if you wanted your bed making, never come across that before? (this didn't seem to be acceptable and was met with a frown?). A large proportion of the team could do with remotivating, otherwise a good experience. Footnote, while the new lady was working on reception everything worked like a Swiss watch.

Great place with some character, close to everything (5 minute walk to the bay, or 1 minute by car). It was very basic but very clean and comfortable. Ok, though not great, breakfast options (if you're not super particular, you'll find enough to fill your belly as there are decent options). Parking was a breeze, as was (literally) the case with our door opened to the small patio facing the harbor. Partial view of Morro Rock. Overall, very happy with our stay and wouldn't mind coming here again. The fireplace was a nice touch.

Our neighbor's cough sounded like he was sitting next to us, which was kinda weird. There was a door separating the 2 rooms, and you could tell sound insulation is non-existent. This did not become a problem, but I wish it was better or the door was sealed off and insulated like a wall. Also, I stood there for a few minutes to check out while the lady at the front desk seemed to be scolding some staff (or giving 'spirited' instructions). She didn't seem to notice me standing there for a while, and it was a bit awkward. Not a super big deal, we all have heated discussions with people from time to time, but definitely an opportunity to brush up on customer service situations like that. She could have paused, checked me out briefly, then continued with no customers standing there.

The location was awesome and very clean. Beds were very comfortable. We checked in in the afternoon and the clerk was very personable and inviting us to participate in a winetasting that evening.

I did not like the girl that ran the breakfast and was the clerk in the morning. She refused to talk to the guests. I spoke to her directly to let her know that all of the hard boiled eggs had black yolks and had gone bad. She refused to look at me and even acknowledge that I spoke to her. I saw this happen with other guests as well.

Very nice old style motel, our room was roomy and included a sofa and desk even though it was the least expensive room available. Many rooms had balconies. The room and the whole property was very clean. Our bed was comfy and we slept well. Lots of flowery shrubs outside looked nice. they extended the "Masterpiece" theme to inexpensive prints of great paintings... cute. The included breakfast was standard self-serve but good and included everything I needed including soy milk.

Only thing was trivial ... but there was a small traffic jam of people waiting for waffles to cook getting in the way of people trying to check out and move their luggage to the cars... perhaps the waffles could be moved into the dining area? A small suggestion from a halt customer.

The breakfast was really nice. Additionally, the care products were exceptional (for example, there were even make up remover pads!). The decaf coffee both at the breakfast and in the room was great. We had a room with a small balcony and a view. Everyone was welcoming. We did not test the spa, though.

Loved the staff. They were all so nice!

We love this place so much. The only thing I would like brought back are the cheese, crackers, nuts and other snacks that used to be served with the wine in the afternoon. I get taking that away during Covid. But you still serve the breakfast in the morning. So please bring back the snacks with the wine.😍

The Petite blond that checked us in the eve of the 19th, gave Us exquisite customer service, From lighting the pilot light of our fireplace to fine-tuning or television that didn’t work at first, she was simply amazing ! She deserves a raise !

The heavy set blond that checked us out in the morning was rude . with no personality , was lazy in presenting breakfasts for quests , about 4 customers had to ask her for more coffee and more spoons . She didn’t smile , she never asked how was our stay .

Clean, charming, comfortable. The inside is fitting for the name; pieces of art and lighting throughout made it charming. The rooms included microwave and fridge- coffee and tea with glass mugs and glass cups. The staff was friendly and the breakfast included thought with yogurt/oatmeal and nice fixings to go with it. It was simple but satisfying to multiple pallets. I like the way they had fresh fruit available for after hours.

Nothing negative to share.

Gabbie at the front desk was exceptional, very friendly and customer service driven. She is a great asset to your hotel. The room and bathroom was very clean and nice. The morning coffee, waffles and pastries were great.

Room #99 was loud due to the proximity of the stairs and vending machines. We had a sofa in the room but the placement was not conducive to the size of the room. We kept running into it coming out of the bathroom.

Great location for the locales we were visiting. Walkable to several dinner options. Rooms were warm and welcoming as was the staff. Interesting architecture. Decor was simple, not fussy. Breakfast offerings were great and varied. Wine in the evening was a nice treat. Parking was always available. Quiet.

The cleanliness was a bit off but I am sure it will improve when staffing stabilizes. The front desk staff was ever changing over the 4 night stay - only saw the same person one time during the visit. Staff did not know where any extras were kept: hangers, kleenex, coffee. Some sort of consistency would be better and better staff informed would be good. Otherwise quite efficient. I did leave a note as to what I was dissatisfied with. Felt all of the issues would be resolved quickly.
