Before making my reservation I read quite a few of negative comments but the score was over 7, so I decided to give it a try. I stayed for 7 nights and everything met or exceeded my expectations. I believe the negative comments are from guests that where unlucky or just too picky. - The room was very clean at my arrival. It was also exactly as in the pics. Very comfortable and spacious. - Wifi worked well for everything I used it for (web browsing and Netflix). - Plenty of outside parking at the premises at all times. Stalls were large enough for trucks. - A/C and heater worked well - Good location; 3 minutes by car from downtown San Clemente and the beach - Staff was nice and check-in/out was fast I was pretty happy with my stay and it was the second cheapest on Booking. I was also surprised by the negative comments and previously read, that's why I decided to do a detailed review.

I liked the room, it was the perfect size for what I needed. The breakfast was also great, they gave a lot of options. There was hot food options as well, which you don't find everywhere. Even a waffle maker. Overall pretty good.

The bathroom smelled weird from the moment I got there, which I found kinda gross. It was tolerable though. I don't think it was mold like some reviews have said, but I can't be 100% sure. Use your own judgement there.

Staff was great ! Hotel looked a lil dirty our TV didn’t work and fridge rt away so we had to call down then the bedding had stains all on top and we had to call for a change of sheets and took a few hours to get and lamp was ripped and stained and dirty as well

The staff was SO nice! The area was super quiet (and I am a very light sleeper). Comfortable beds with great AC. Excellent area and great price.

It is an older hotel in need of a general facelift. The shower curtain was torn and the towels were past their prime. It WAS clean, just well used.

Really enjoyed ourselves here. The jacuzzi is a very nice size. 2 balcony's in this room with decent view despite freeway. You can see the ocean from a far. Shower is small & basic. The room was fairly clean. Bed was nice & firm. Comes with small refrigerator, lil coffee pot, 2 nice size tv's, closet, small couch, vanity etc. There needs to be a few improvements. Couldn't beat the price for the perks in this area though. Very quiet & chill area. Staff was friendly.

Very clean. Our room set up was spacious and it was quiet all through the night and early morning. Extra towels and pillows were already provided in our room which was appreciated. Breakfast choices were good and the staff was very friendly.

The proximity to Camp Pendleton was perfect.

It was fine. A few things were sort of odd- lots of broken small things in the room- sink didn’t drain well, lamp by bed didn’t work, toilet kept running. There was nothing dirty or revolting just a little well used.

We really appreciated being able to find a room that could accommodate a family of 6. The room was larger than your average hotel room, well laid out floor plan, and had plenty of space to fit our family. The beds were comfortable and clean. We appreciated the mini fridge and microwave being present in the room.

The room met my expectations in a good way, but it was a little out dated and could use some upgrades to make it a perfect stay. The hotel advertises free breakfast but we were disappointed to be handed a paper bag with a frozen burrito, granola bar, and apple. I realize that things have changed health code wise with COVID, but this still felt like false advertising. I would suggest not having the detail of "free breakfast" at all on the app until the dining room can be opened again.

Clean and very comfortable room

The squeak noise from people walking around in their room above my room on the third floor. Loud and can hear every tine some one walked around in the upper floor room above mine

it was clean and a great location

everything was old. Tub, shower head, tv, furnishing, appliances all old and kind of run down. spa tub had cracks in jets so didn’t feel comfortable using it
