Our room was spacious with a couch, fridge, microwave, and a nice table for eating at. The location set-up with separate buildings for the various rooms was cute and offered a great view. The bed was comfortable and the staff at the front desk was very kind. They helped out with extending my stay when our plans to travel north were cut short by the fires in the area. The location is great - just walk downstairs and you're in Old Town. I would definitely enjoy staying here again.

Some of the fixtures in the bathroom seem a bit old. Switching the tub to shower mode took a little effort. Part of the tiles in the flooring seemed a bit damaged and maybe a little loose, though there wasn't anything hazardous. The air conditioner seemed like it might be temperamental because the temperature in the room was a little inconsistent, but I didn't mess with it at all, so I might not have had it on the right settings.

This is a lovely place to stay. Old town is a very nice area that is close to the bus and tram system so that you can easily visit many other areas if you want. The hotel itself is very nice with all the amenities that you need, and very lovely people. I would definitely stay here again.

I really enjoyed it all. I can't think of anything to criticise. At the end of our stay we had a bit of a time getting a cab to take us to the airport and we started a day early. I should have used Uber but was having cell phone issues. Certainly not the fault of this lovely hotel.

The property grounds were nice and it was great to be so close to the old town area. The beds were comfortable, and it worked well for our 1 night stay. The breakfast buffet was good but had very limited options. However, it was nice to have a place on the property to eat, as the restaurants in the old town area do not open until later in the morning.

There were two bottled waters in the room which we thought were complimentary, however I received an additional charge to my CC once we checked out for $8.00.... so we were charged $4.00 per bottle of water! I think this is a bit much for water and there should be a notice in the room stating they are not complimentary.

This hotel is exceptional. We only stay at this hotel if staying in Old Town. It is walking distance to pretty much everything. The hotel is well kept and is beautifully landscaped. The staff is always friendly and always tries to accommodate an early check-in , if rooms are available. They are very accommodating to provide a parking pass before check-in if my room isn't available for early check in. This is by far the best place to stay in Old Town. The price is also very reasonable. It is are go to hotel to have a relaxing weekend..sometimes even just for the day.

Very beautiful hotel at the heart of San Diego old town. The hotel is sitting on a slope overlooking the streets with a great view of sunset. The hotel was very quiet when we were there and there were a lot of parking spaces. It's only a short walking distance to the main street with a lot of restaurants.

There's nothing that we didn't like but the there are a lot of stairs and that can be a problem for people with mobility issues.

I loved the location!!! It was a beautiful setting. Easy to get to from the airport. I loved sitting on the balcony and walking the grounds. It fit so well in Old Town that the whole vibe really mellowed me out! I loved being able to stroll up and down the street in the morning and evening. The location is also perfect! I was a 10-15 drive from everything I wanted to see. Beaches, LaJolla Cove, Balboa Park— even the church I was visiting! I put very few miles on the rental! A serious plus! And I had plenty of opportunity to park comfortably on Juan street.

The only downside was that my room was by a service entrance and I could sometimes hear banging and voices. But that’s a SMALL issue. The staff was really nice and polite all the way around!

I was impressed by the very polite and professional staff. The room was impeccably clean. Amazing bed and bedding. Perfect towels.

I was sent a text to call for shuttle service upon my arrival. When I called I was told shuttle driver called out and a replacement was not available. People get sick. Life happens. On-call, fill in, substitute driver needs to be put in place. My view from the bedroom window was the the hotel dumpsters.

The best Western Hacienda in Old Town is the only place I will stay when I travel to San Diego. It's in the heart of Old Town so it's walking distance to all the shops and restaurants. Everyone is always so helpful and nice.

I've been staying at the Best Western Hacienda since 2013. One of my favorite things was having the breakfast and complimentary drinks. This time I noticed that it is no longer being offered so I was surprised, but I still would never stay anywhere else.

Friendly staff, nice hotel with A LOT of stairs but they do have elevators. Decent room and great view of town. Nothing fancy a little dated but worth the price.Excellent location to Old Town, literally a very short walk. Would definitely stay here again.

If you have a big suv the parking is really tight in the 600 parking structure but they do a few outside. I can't speak for any other parking because that is the only one we used. Other than that I'd say you can't go wrong staying here.

I would've loved a better military discount... parking is a lil hard to park with a big vehicle. But understandable for where and how the hotel is located. Elevators were a lil iffy and seems like they were throwing some furniture out that was visible. But love how there is so much to choose from on restaurants. There is also a trolly tour near by, the Whaley tours and much more. Really close to Sea World
