The room was clean and big. Bed and pillows were comfortable. The bathroom had a lot of space. It was very close to a good restaurant, were we went to have dinner. Although breakfast was available, we've just picked up something to get back to the road.

Although we didn't take the breakfast there, it appeared to have some lack of variety and some of the food was to be heated on the oven...

I am glad I booked according to reviews and not stars. This is rated 2 stars but stood up as a better value and just as comfortable as one rated 3 stars. The staff were all exceptionally welcoming and helpful, the property was all remodeled tastefully and comfortably, and we were able to walk to town.

I think they could expand their breakfast options, but I really couldn’t complain. There was always fresh fruit, juices, coffee, and microwaveable breakfast sandwiches. Plus, the nearest restaurants were all very good.

The owner was flexible on my check in time even though I arrived late at night. The parking lot and general motel area felt safe. My room was clean, and my mattress was comfortable. The air conditioning unit on the window was perfect for setting the right temperature in the room. Overall, my experience was great and I would stay here again.

The room size and its amenities exceeded my expectations! Well worth the price I paid and would definitely stay here again. I have already recommended it to others as my experience was well worth every penny. The room and bathroom were clean, the little extras like information on services the hotel provides, laundry bag, ice machine and even the soap dispensers in the bathroom added to my stay. I arrived after close to 11pm and the on-site staff was very cordial, informative and very friendly.

I'd say the only criticism I have is the bed. Would have preferred a mattress without springs but regardless, I still slept comfortably.

Location perfect. Beds comfortable. Very clean and quiet. Pool very refreshing. Friendly staff.

Pool area could use some nice furniture. Two chairs were comfortable. Safety features needed in bathroom like light up outlet. Fitted sheet needed on beds.

It was pretty good. Some contractors were staying here, but they were quiet and decent.

Floors seemed a bit dirty (my socks got dirty). Pool hours could have been a bit more expansive, didn’t get to use the pool due to hour restrictions.

We were heading south through SLO, on our way to San Diego, and on a whim decided to stay and the University Inn was the perfect intersection of price, location and vibe. We ate at Ziggy’s vegan restaurant and wanted quick access to the 101 in the morning and definitely needed a comfy place for our family of four; the University inn offered all we needed.

The property was being renovated in real time, but it didn’t disturb our stay or mess with the vibe. We also didn’t get a bar of soap In the restroom, which is a luxury we definitely prefer.

The location is great if you have a student at Cal Poly. The rooms are nice. There is plenty of space, and the property is quiet. I appreciate the refrigerator, microwave, and Keurig in the room. The area for breakfast is also pleasant.

Very efficient check-in, room cleanliness and bed comfort. Overall, the facilities were very clean both inside and out.

I really liked the offer of the sausage & eggs breakfast sandwich. However, these sandwiches are meant to be heated before consumption. It would be great if the facility would put a small microwave oven in the continental breakfast area for guests to heat these sandwiches in this area.

Nice, neat room and comfortable bed.

Continental breakfast options were very few. Only a sausage sandwich, pastry, banana and water, apple juice or coffee. I encourage all motels/hotels to have offer a gluten-free option.
