big room, good price, friendly staff/owner

- Location is actually 50/50 : great location in terms of view and elevation with a nice & unobstructed view on the mountains around, but also located right by the highway…so depends on time and day - Owner is really friendly, welcoming and accommodating, he made sure I had everything I needed to make my stay as memorable and relaxing as possible; Forthcoming and helpful, gave nice recommendations for points of interest around town - Housekeeper, very nice lady, looks after the customers and also make sure we have all the comfort possible - charming property, artsy and colorful, which fits great of the amount of artwork/artists found in desert town - walking distance from downtown and restaurants (~10min or less) - Close to Joshua Tree National Park entrance

If anything at all, just the closeness to the highway

9 Palms is an experience, not just another roadside motel. We liked the separate little kitchenette with refrigerator, microwave, table and two chairs. The colors are something else! You can see all this online before you decide to stay here. The history of 9 palms is interesting!

Person working front desk was very nice. Colors were fun. Vibe was chill.

Only thing I'd say is check the coffee maker. I believe need to be descaled.. I told the front desk and he said he would take care of and that he was proud of his employee who cleans. I thought that was chill actually.

everything i loved it was much more then expected great location view and beautiful little cottage type buildings each one had its own unique color theme. inside the rooms was beautiful and you felt at home not ur standard hotel service like anywhere else. i didnt want to leave stayed an extra day just to unwind great managment & house keeping was amazing. i also loved the light up shower head lol

i loved everything about this place as i stated above.

The best motel on our trip. You have your own little house which is colorful and really cute. The small private veranda and the view over the whole village to the sausages are particularly nice. The owner is super nice and helpful and is happy to have a little chat.

I thought the room colors were unique. The motel felt retro. Aside from the modern TV, I felt like I was in another decade, maybe the late sixties. Aside from that positive aspect, I loved the view, and the room was comfortable with basic amenities. Again it had an old California feel, I would love to stay here again.

The road to the rooms needs to be replaced.

ONLY a few single detached "TINY HOUSE LIKE ROOMS/detached, about 8 or 10 places......parking lot could use repair(paving) single little room was a kitchen fully fitted for (stay longer folks) TV WIFI excellent for being in desert, $$$$$WISE........very good place to rest/stay...."that's my ruling--ain't taking it back'

The room is huge and creatively decorated, vibrant colours all around, very Indian subcontinent vibe. We had a full fridge with freezer compartment- excellent- and a desk in the room. the property is located on top of a hill, and thus the views over nighttime 29 Palms and the sunrise are spectacular. Bathroom has a toilet with inbuilt baby seat, which I find very thoughtful of the owners😘 The price is superb for what you are getting.

Overall, it was little things: we couldn’t get the tv to work late in the evening and then couldn’t find the owner (it was after hours tbh)to fix it the property is a bit hard to access since it is just after the top of a hill on a highway and you are not too sure about traffic…

Room location and cleanliness is great. Expect what you paid for though. Owner was very friendly to talk to and helped with what I needed. I stayed for two days to visit Joshua Tree National Park. The hotel is very conveniently located to the much less busy Twenty Nine Palms entrance.

Nothing as such. The hotel entrance and driveway is kinda steep and unmaintained, but nothing that is terrible or inaccessible. As I said, expect what you paid for and it is great.
