Convenient location. Low key, comfortable accommodations in minimal desert style motel with just enough amenities. All for a great price. My favorite feature are the dutch doors that allow sun into your room all day. The host, Caan, is friendly and chill but usually running behind.

The pool area needs some investment: new lounge furniture and SHADE. It is essentially a fenced pool set in a concrete pad in the dusty parking lot. Also, we have stayed twice, and both times our rooms were not ready at check in time. Don't expect matching or fabric softened linens and towels.

Great location for Joshua tree park. Bars, restaurants just a walk away. Decent pool and some shady areas outside to sit. The guys running the place very helpful and on hand. Cabin like rooms with kitchenette area, good for visitors to the park. Rustic cabin, no T.V. and something us Brits appreciate...a kettle...not your usual run of the mill hotel room. Would we stay here again? Yes definitely.

The pool was cold but will probably be warm in higher season. Pillows too soft.

Great stay, right near the park entrance, and some of my fave restaurants in JT. Nice ‘ranch bunkhouse’ style. Quality.

Really good, but with a few small tweaks, could be great. They were a tad late in having the room ready, but it was understandable with only one person on site to manage everything. Check-in instructions could have been a bit clearer, and informative. Aside from that the place was ideal. It was 100° + out during the day and while I was nervous that the old school AC unit could handle things, I did just fine. The bathroom could use some hanging hooks for towels. Perhaps two more pillows for the room.

Really nice modern wood panelled room. Really spacious and comfortable. With good bathroom and also kitchen facilities. Amazing to have the pool right there.

Didn't really see any staff while I was there kitchen was usable bit not that well equipped. Not to do with property but don't expect a town! Just a few shops on the side of the road. Some very nice cafes though and very handy for the park.

I think when you consider this property as a kitschy roadside motel it’s actually great value for money. It’s a lot cuter than your average motel, it has a nice big pool, the kitchen has everything you need, and it’s walking distance to everything in town. I liked the outdoor spaces, the character in the furnishings, and found the check in process easy.

The walls are very thin but this only became an issue when the property filled up and there were children in the adjoining room, but that’s out of anyones hands. Most nights, with normal noise levels, it was totally fine.

The location is excellent, and the style of the ranch house is so cute, unique, and rustic.

When we arrived (after check on time) our room still wasn’t ready. We got it sorted though and Caan came and cleaned the room for us pretty quickly. We had to wait almost an hour, but the room was nice and clean when we finally got it. The only other negative was all the ants outside our room that would get inside of we opened the door. But, we’re also in the middle of the desert and understand that that just might be because of the desert location.

The inn is two blocks from the visitor center in JT and the main road leading up to the gates. Clean bed and cute rooms. Pool for a hot mid day swim, pool towels available. Lounging areas around the property. Rooms have dish sets mini fridge sink and a toaster oven in the kitchen. Extra twin cot and bedding in the closet. Split door to let the cool evening air in and a/c unit if it’s too hot. Centrally located to shops and food. Host lives off site and room key is in a lock box by the room.

Lots of the chairs outside where unusable, the shower could have used a bleaching. Really my only two complaints.

The location was perfect! And the room was very clean! Those were things that were most important to us. The entire place was welcoming and in good shape. Loved the decor. The little kitchen with a refrigerator was great to have as well. Also, Caan was very nice and welcoming; he worked hard to accommodate us. We will be happy to stay here again soon.

The only things we didn't love was that the walls are thin. It may not have been a problem if we didn't have loud neighbors, but even when they were talk at a normal volume, we could hear their conversations. The thin walls also meant we heard traffic noise. If you are a light sleeper, this might effect your stay. Another thing is that the shower tiles were coming lose and some were missing. Also, as a suggestion, we wish there was a towel hook near the shower. It would make things more convenient.

The motel is very clean - and one block off the main street - so a bit away from the sounds of traffic. The rooms are quaint and comfortable - with small kitchenettes with stinks, utensils, a fridge and a toaster oven. The pool is small but clean - and fun, if you are good with unheated water - which I am. I found it a comfortable, minimalist, quiet retreat from desert exploration - and would stay there again.

It would be nice to have a microwave, instead of a toaster oven - more versatile.

Great location with just the bare minimum essentials. The property is large, plenty of room for dogs, with a pool and fire it available for visitors. The minimal kitschy decor and the dutch doors to the units are charming. I feel the accommodations were appropriately priced.

Cleaning prior to check in. We arrived a couple hours after check in only to find a text message and the manager still cleaning our room. We also had to request pool towels and paper towel for the kitchen, but once we settled in, everything was fine.
