Right next to the lake shore which is pretty cool and not far from the METRA electric line and buses, it doesn't offer much but the basics and room definitely had a dated feel but was perfect for a traveler who doesn't plan to stay in the hotel the whole time

Only major issue was the lady at the front desk trying to charge me not once but twice what I already paid after I tried explaining I already paid on booking.com but just out right said "No" I had to pull up the information on my phone before she believed me, luckily I move just enough money off one of my debit cards to a second one to paid for the hotel if not my vacation would have been ruined due to her error knowing an instant refund would have been impossible.

The description of the location needs to be updated. The free shuttle service is not available and the restaurant is closed. Which were some of the reasons we booked with the establishment.

To be honest after reading Google reviews I was not expecting something good from this hotel, but I will recommend you this hotel, it's a good choice for the money. I like location. Hotel is located right near the Michigan lake. You also will get a parking place what is realy good, most hotels in Chicago don't have such an option.

It was difficult to find reception - it is located in other hotel. I saw some people they cannot check in on time, it's crazy, I was affraid we will not too. Cleaning every day is a plus - but no towels left in room after cleaning.

it was ok. When I booked the picture they showed was the three story building, so I thought we were going to be staying there.

the four of us are seniors and our rooms where in the second floor and the stairs were steep and difficult to pull luggage up the stairs. We had to be very careful. The rooms were nice and comfortable. Also, there was no microwave or small fridge… which are very convenient.

We loved the privacy and location. All of the staff were kind and were willing to assist in any way they could!

Since the rooms are in pods it can be easy to hear other attendants entering and leaving their rooms. If they're extremely loud, you can hear them through the walls pretty easily.

We loved the location, ease of check in and check out, continental breakfast, ice machine on every floor at Best Western the sister property, and most importantly they had free parking on site. We stayed on the 1st floor and the room fit our specific needs, the shower was hot and water pressure was great. We had enough bath essentials and towels for our entire trip.

What was a little discouraging was the guests staying upstairs from us, they would run up and down the stairs early in the morning and late in the evening. When we were in our room by chance during the mid day, it seemed they were having a dance party, but we understand that is outside of the hotels control. Aside from that, the shower did whistle when the water temperature was more on the hot side and the TV did go lose its signal a couple of times but these I'm sure are easy fixes and can be worked around. The bathroom light was a little dim as well.

Best part is right off lake shore drive. Best quality for the money

No microwave and fridge in every room

Front desk staff were very friendly and very helpful! We arrived earlier than our scheduled check in time because our flight got in early. The entire staff did everything they could to get our room ready as early as possible and we were able to check in around 3 hours early! Thanks again!

The common area going up the stairs to our room smelled alot like weed! 😀 But once inside our room everything was very clean. The TV remote kinda sucked but we made due.

The room's furniture and wall coverings were a little dated but the bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. The neighborhood surroundings were nice and safe and the view over Lake Michigan as the sun rose was awesome. I cannot believe the affordable price for a hotel just off of Lakeshore Drive, near downtown Chicago.

For some, the close proximity to Lakeshore Drive would mean the noise level can be too high. I didn't mind at all.
