The only issue I had with this location was their breakfast. The selection of food was processed and not good. Every hotel that I have stayed in provided sausage, eggs, bacon biscuits and gravy.

The breakfast could have been better. this needs to be upgraded. They need to change out their food options and not microwave food.

The breakfast was excellent. Good location, room is big and comfortable.

Beds were not made, floor was not clean. Towels changed not enough for number of person stayed.

The wifi was excellent, food and drink offerings were more than adequate, 24/7 coffee in the lobby is terrific, space to gather in the dining area was a real plus. TV reception was excellent. Strong AC, and the beds were comfy enough. The on-site staff was outstanding, hard working and courteous.

We had to wait half an hour past the promised time for our ride from the airport to the hotel. That particular driver was neither friendly nor helpful. He did not take care of our luggage well. It was rolling all over the back of the van. Also, although there are a lot of restaurant choices nearby, there are no pedestrian crosswalks. If you try to walk anywhere, you take your life in your hands.

Staff was friendly and helpful, shuttle was readily available to make pick ups and drop offs (to the airport) even if I was the only traveller. Going downtown, you can take the hotel shuttle to airport, then get the blue line. Room was clean and facilities were modern. No water in room though. You had to buy water.

No water in rooms, if you don't drive you may struggle for food they do have a mini market, if you like what it sells. Noone seemed to know how to get a sight seeing bus for a tour of downtown. Everyone wanted to know precisely where you wanted to go (being new in town and having only a day). I had no idea but ended up in the Millennium Park. The park shop sold sight seeing bus ticket. The next challenge was finding the bus stop. The park shop gave the wrong directions. Having said all the above, I would visit Chicago again, lots to see and do there

The area, close to the freeway. Steak&Shake, iHOP, Target just accross the street. Room very clean and cosy, comfortable beds, great walk-in shower. Friendly receptionist and friendly shuttle to and from the airport driver. We had a rental car from the airport. Free parking for the first night at the hotel felt safe.

Breakfast in the morning is in the lobby of the hotel and is Grab-and-go style. The breakfast is typically pre-packaged and ready to eat, good for busy guests who need a quick and easy morning meal. Positive note: it is free! If you like a more filling breakfast with fresh hot items, scrambled eggs, bacon, easy-over, omelets, pancakes etc. better go to IHOP across the street.

The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. The free breakfast was tasty and had a lot of options. However, the staff was great! I got in late and Robert (shuttle driver) was friendly and got me to the hotel quickly. After checkin, I wanted to grab a bite across the street before they closed. The desk clerk offered to watch my bags so I wouldn't lose time, and Robert (who was getting off work) offered to run me over to the restaurant. In the morning, I needed to go back to the airport to get a rental car. Robert to the rescue again. He advised the actual place to go was just a few blocks down the road and, of course took me there.

The rooms/ hotel in general is updated clean inside out. Free parking is always a plus.

No microwave in rooms had to use the one in lobby, no blower/fan in bathroom, the toliet kept running due to the handle not going up after you flush it. Shower was very small could only fit 1 person. First level is the worst level to get because you hear everything that goes on in the halls far as traffic from other guest, they had no Do Not DISTURB Signs to actually put on the door handles for no one to enter in your room, no metal ice bucket to grab ice so the bucket they did give was a paper popcorn bucket🤦🏾‍♀️that all the ice melted out of the next day. Didn't realize I booked this hotel and it's an hour away from Chicago won't do that again.

Enjoyed the breakfast. It included fruit, pre-made omelettes (I appreciated the vegetarian option-it was tasty and the only ssavory item in the menu for me), cereal, oatmeal packages, boiled eggs, tea (although only caffeinated options, sadly for me), milk (even almond milk!), bread, bagels, and etc. The staff working during breakfast time was very pleasant and nice. The premises looked very clean, and there were employees cleaning the inside--and the outside (parking lot).

As far as I know, there is no way to get the hotel via public transportation (like CTA)--that would be fantastic! The shuttle to the airport only starts from 7 am (which is too late for many flights). I could hear a young kid crying in another room--thankfully, the the noise did not last long.

It was a great value, it was very comfortable, I always appreciate the inbuilt soap dispensers, especially dove products because that is what I use. The checkout process was very seamless, since there was a monitor option in my room to just press and go. And staff was professional. I can’t comment about breakfast since I usually sleep through that.

I won’t say there was any problems, but I will say I think they forgot to turn the fridge back on because when I opened up the little door, there was a puddle at the bottom of the shelf, I’ve seen that before with another property and I presumed at that time it was a broken fridge, but it was just because they turned it off for some reason so that’s my heads up for anybody who Uses those little dorm fridges. I simply took one of the washcloths and soaked it up and then I turned the fridge back on so that I could just use it for storage.

We chose the O Hare location for affordability and easy access via subway from the Rosemont Park and Ride lot to downtown (about 45 mins), bypassing the 24/7 Chicago rush hour and exorbitant parking rates. The Avid Hotel was perfect for us. It is quite different from standard lodging. Rooms and public spaces are designed to provide the convenience of home rather than the comfort of home. There are no clubby chairs or heavy furniture. Everything is functional and sensible in an IKEA sense. Light, air, internet, television, plumbing were working as expected. Our room with a king-sized bed and a large window was bright and airy. It was not large but did not feel confining. Being new, the hotel was quite clean, and the service was efficient and friendly. We did not use the airport shuttle. The hotel modestly calls its breakfast "continental", but it is more extensive than most.

Left turns into and out of the hotel parking lot are difficult because the main road in front of the hotel has a divider.
