The staff was very nice and helpful. I am currently undergoing radiation treatment at Maine Medical Center for brain cancer and have to use a walker to get around, and upon check-in, I was placed on the first floor. I was very uncomfortable in the room I was in due to it being on the ground level, and I have very high anxiety. I went to the front desk, and the gentleman was very helpful and accommodating and moved my room to the 5th floor and also helped me move my belongings to the new room as well.

It's not very handicap accessible. The bathroom was very small, and someone in a wheelchair would not be able to access it easily at all. I had difficulty with just my walker.

Room was clean and well stocked. Check in process was easy. Pool was clean and heated. Gym existed and looked clean (we didn't use it). Room was a bit outdated, but for $100 a night it really doesn't get better than that. It was clean and that's all that matters. Within walking distance (less than 10 minutes) to a pizza place, a couple convenience stores and multiple breweries. Bus and amtrak station are right next door.

The elevator is tiny and very slow. If you're traveling with more than 2-3 people and luggage you'll need to take more than one trip. Not a con, just good to know.

The location was a little unusual, but it was close to amenities- gas station, donut shop and grocery shopping. The room was smaller than I anticipated, but we didn't stay in our room for long periods, so it was okay. It was mostly clean, though I suggest washing the walls once in awhile. The beds were clean and the bathrooms. We used the coffee pot, which was nice to have. The kids loved the pool area.

Everything! Huge room, comfortable bed, big chair in room, nice staff. And absolutely amazing indoor pool and hot tub!! It was perfect on a cool, misty night. Location was excellent, about a 5 minute drive to cool downtown things. Also right next to Bissell Brothers Brewery and the International Cryptozoology Museum (it's weird, if you're bored and like weird things, check it out). I didn't try breakfast because I didn't want to pay extra and there are much better options in town.

Elevator was a little slow but stairs were very easy to find! Otherwise, I loved everything.

This was about a five minute walk from the train station (Portland Transportation Center) so worked great for my 2am arrival via Amtrak. I was visiting family in the hospital, and it was a bit more than a mile from the hospital. They were also able to hold my luggage in a locked room. My room was spacious and clean; only used it to sleep and shower after my trip, checked out early the next morning and well met my needs. Would have stayed another night as family member's stay in hospital was extended, but next night was booked. Clarion was better than the hotel used the following night.

I like how it was in the center of the Portland area, and was in short driving distance to the Portland Seadogs Stadium, and was overall a good place to stay for 1 night! If I'm in the area again I'd definitely come back

I'm not going to lie, finding it was tough because the photos of the outside didn't match what the building looked like, and there weren't many signs, but we eventually found it. Highly suggests taking a new photo of the front so people can see it better

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Clarion Inn. It is conveniently located near the Portland International Airport (PWM) and the Portland Transportation Center. It offered an airport shuttle every hour. It is also not far from the downtown area of Portland, and there are plenty of restaurants and shops in the area. My room was clean, and I had a great night's sleep before my flight. I thank the Clarion Inn staff for their professional service and especially recommend the Clarion Inn to any travelers who want to have a good night's rest before or after their flight.

We were there because my 6 month old grandson had to have brain surgery and they wouldn't give us a room with 2 beds at the hospital rate,even though that rate is high.my son was sharing a room with me as I only receive social security and the baby has been in the hospital 3 times in 6 months so most of my savings are gone.we could get a king size bed and that was it.I realize people have it rough but when people are homeless because they choose to do drugs rather than put a roof over their heads they shouldn't be able to stay at hotels for free ,when someone is concerned for their babies life has to pay.

Only thing I would have liked was if the wifi was better and didn't drop all the time and that breakfast didn't get canceled randomly. Woke up to a note at the breakfast place that said sorry canceled today and I had to grab breakfast somewhere else on my way to work but other than that the stay was great. Great location and not as much airport noise as I would have thought for where the hotel is.

Did not use the breakfast service. But disappointed that the Clarion does not offer complimentary coffee at least in the mornings. The in room coffee maker is inadequate.

The hotel breakfast/ coffee service was closed on Monday , January 15, for Martin Luther King Day. But no notice that a small complimentary coffee/ morning refreshment would be offered in a very small room off the lobby.Had I not walked out to get something from my car I would not have been aware of its availability. They could have added a notice of it along with the notice of the closed breakfast service.
