This is truly a gem of a hotel right in the heart of the Old Port section of Portland, our second time here. It is just lovely, well appointed throughout and the staff could not be more welcoming. The bed was ultra comfortable. We had a wonderful breakfast in the dining room. Although we did not check out the Whisky Bar or the Armory Lounge, they are quite beautiful and definitely would be a great way to spend a few hours. Wish we had more time available to us, but our stay was just one night sadly.

Wish there was a shelf under the sink for toiletries and such; the conditioner dispenser in the shower was not working well.

The common areas were lovely. We especially enjoyed the lounge with the fireplace on a cold night. The spa facilities are also very nice! The breakfast was very good. Liked the historic feel of the building.

There is insufficient lighting in the room and the walls between the rooms are very thin. We could hear other guests clearly.

The location was tremendous. Right in the middle of Old Port. I don't know if I got lucky, but my room was huge and had a soaking tub and large walk-in rain shower. The pillows were very large. The bed was comfortable. I had a refrigerator, microwave, slippers, robe, it came with bottled water and a Keurig and supplies. There was a fireplace. Also, a nice little sitting nook. I wish I would've gotten names, but the staff was great. One African American gentleman at the front desk, and the concierge on duty during the day on 8/30 specifically. I just couldn't get over the restroom, definitely the nicest I've ever stayed in. I didn't use the tub because I'm a germaphobe, but it looked clean anyway.

These nice hotels never have swimming pools and I wish they did. The blinds on the windows were okay, but I wish there had been blackout curtains. The building is old and it shows it...the walls are scuffed up, the carpet is worn, and it smells a bit musty. The checkout time of noon is better than most places who do 11. However, my flight wasn't until 5:30 but they could not accommodate my late checkout, but they did accommodate my early check in so you can't win them all!

The room was clean and comfortable; the staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. The location is perfect - we parked our car and walked for the entire weekend. I especially loved the fireplace in the lounge!

There was a large conference with a party one of the nights we stayed, which was noisy. The bar also ran out of snacks as a result! Would be grateful for a writing surface in the lounge area or in the bedroom. Could definitely use more towel racks in the bathroom.

The staff at this hotel helped to make this vacation one of the best vacations of my entire life. They went out of their way to help me with anything I needed to, and when a small issue a rose they took care of it very quickly with exceptional service. I will absolutely be recommending this hotel to all of my friends and family, and will be staying here again. Thank you so much!

That I'm not there now!

Central location was great. The bed was comfy, they provided bathrobe and safe in the room which was really good. The staff was nice. After checking out, I could leave my car for the whole day in the valet parking without extra charge.

There were 2 king size beds in the room, a bit too much considering the size of the room. There was not enough (or to be honest almost no) space for the cosmetic bags in the bathroom.

The Regency is a beautiful old building and the location is wonderful. The lounges on the first floor and on the second floor are both so lovely especially decorated for the holidays. The staff we encountered were all extremely friendly and helpful.

for the amount of money, the room itself is pretty small and the walls were paperthin. Both nights we had the unexpected surprise of hearing everything going on in the room next-door. Not G rated!!!

This hotel was what I would consider near perfect. Every staff member was pleasant. The location was perfect walking distance to everything. The hotel was clean, modern, and beautiful. The room was also clean, a great size, and comfortable. The valet parking was a great price and our vehicle was in a secure lot. And the price was great for a summer holiday weekend.

Checkin was terrific on both days. Fri and Monday evening with Kristina. We loved the location. Due to heavy rain, Adam was kind enough to drive us a very short distance to our dinner reservation. Very thoughtful, friendly staff. Take care of them. Customer service is lacking at so many companies since everyone is experiencing staffing shortages. Your folks know customer service and it shows.

Location was fantastic, walking to local bakeries, restaurants, the harbor for fun night life. It was clean, very comfortable, our room was on the 2nd floor, and was quiet and spotless. This was our first time traveling with dogs, everyone was friendly, and they both loved their Portland Adventure.

The cost for 1 night was expensive, plus parking is additional. If you travel with pets their really is not much green space in this area.
