We love the overall feel of the resort. It was so nice to see all of the different guests hanging out and enjoying the large lobby area. My family enjoyed the pool table, board game room, and the movie theater. All of the food that we ordered from the restaurant was very good. Linda from the gift shop was just delightful and she made each morning start out right with a friendly chat while I got my morning coffee. The location was beautiful and was perfect for our visit to Santa’s Village that was just 15 minutes down the road.
The guests above us were extremely noisy and felt like a herd of elephants coming through the ceiling. This went on for hours each night of 3 night stay. We didn’t complain but it was torture. It’s an old building so the walls, floors and ceilings are paper thin.

Professional, knowledgeable and attentive staff. Stunning grounds and views. Beautiful property. Full calendar of engaging events for adults and kids. Room was spacious, clean, and had a pretty view of the barn area. Loved our meals at the hotel restaurant. First time visiting. We'll be back!
Dinner room service was very difficult to obtain. Could not reach them on the phone. Recording asked that I leave a message and I would be contacted within 10 mins. Never heard from them. So after 30 mins, had to leave my room and walk down to the front desk to inquire about how to reach room service to place an order. Clerk took my order and had it delivered about 30 mins later which was nice. However the meal was cool by the time it arrived which was disappointing. However, this was really a small thing given our spectacular our stay was.

Great grounds and location especially for early morning walks. Activity center is great especially for rainy/snowy days. Don't sleep on the movie theater or game room on the lower level. Great place to take a family.
I have a child w/ a gluten allergy. With hotel restaurant having such a limited menu it's hard to order kid friendly food that won't make my kid sick. It seems since Covid a lot of places are taking things away. They offer pizza but not GF pizza. Local pizza place isn't allowed on property so my husband has to travel almost 30 min round trip to get something for my child.

The location for the 2024 Solar Eclipse perfect! There was a wonderful woman that worked in the gift shop, and Taylor at the bar on Sunday, and the lady on Monday terribly understaffed I felt so bad for both of them and a lot of workers just standing around :-((((((
I booked my room one month before the event, I requested ground floor room close to center, my husband suffers terribly with COPD and they had us on the 2nd floor so far from center we struggled for 2 days because of that. Not ALL rooms were booked. Very Very Upsetting for us.

The facilities are amazing. The location is a dream and the room we had facing the mountains had exquisite views. Whenever we opened the blinds in the morning... there, the mountains... right in front of us to say hello. The farm, the green areas, the pool, the play room and the board room were incredible. It's a great place to go and disconnect and do small hikes. Great place for a family with young kids (our kids' age: 9, 7 and 3)
The only complaint I have is that you could hear everything inside the room. The walls and the ceiling are very thin. I could hear our neighbors. For that reason, we had to sleep with loud whitenoise on our phones every night so that all of our family members could sleep through the night

The resort is beautiful. There is so much to do and see. The lobby has fires and a welcoming bar. A cute little store to grab your morning coffee and space to sit outside and take in the beautiful views. The spa is lovely and the staff were very nice. Only thing I’d suggest is getting fresh pair of slippers. They are no longer white.
It’s a little outdated. Nothing terrible but the amount of money you spend, it does need a little touch up in places. Unfortunately the hot tub was down during our stay.

Our dinner was great, the staff met our needs but it was pricey for small dishes of mac and cheese. The rooms were very comfortable, mattress was wonderful. And very clean! The high ceilings and different moldings throughout the building, were fun to checkout. The skiiers in our group enjoyed the pool, after along day on the slopes.
The cost of the mac and cheese for such small portions. The bathrooms were extremely clean, however there were no shelves or hooks to place our personal stuff while getting ready for the day. No spot in the shower to place my own face wash and shampoo. Also no grab bar. I'm not looking for a handicap bathroom, but after using body wash and hair conditioner, the floor can get slick. Also a grab bar is a good place to put a washcloth, since there are no toiletry shelves.

Perfect place to bring the family for a weekend away and to see Ice Castles (about 40 min drive). The farm is great, the restaurant is exceptional, the staff is friendly and helpful, the decor is beautiful. I hate modern hotel design but the beds are comfortable. Usually with older inns the beds are not comfortable. This was NOT the case here and the beds were so great. I'm a side sleeper and have trouble sleeping in general and this was just perfect. The kids loved the indoor pool.
Distance to parking lot unpleasant in the cold and with kids and luggage.

Wonderful hotel full of history. We have been going to this hotel every year for many years for a restful getaway. The staff are excellent & welcoming. The hallways are fun to walk- full of paintings and books. The rooms are comfortable and include a table & chairs if you'd like to read. Great bedding, lots of towels, and mini refrigerator. The views are amazing. Make sure to get to breakfast early and secure a table with a view. Try to book at least 3 nights so you have enough time to enjoy the restaurants, bar and the area.
The bathrooms have been remodeled and could use more lighting.

This hotel was fabulous and very good value had we only been able to take full advantage of its resort amenities beyond the single night we stayed. While there, we did enjoy a nice meal thru room service and relaxed in a very comfortable king bed, large bath, and full size sofa that befitted the sprawling room size. We took long walks across its spacious, manicured grounds with our dog (yes, they do reserve three of its rooms to accommodate <40 lb dogs), while taking in the colorful mountains surrounding the resort. With so much to offer, this would be a wonderful destination/event site for family and friends or just a quiet - and long - getaway for a couple like ourselves.
The parking lot was quite a walk from the hotel but some planning in unloading before parking would ease that situation a bit. Knowing where elevators are relative to doors leading from parking lot would eliminate carrying luggage up some initial stairs. There was no valet service for parking that we were aware of.
