- Location: Fantastic, with easy subway access to major attractions. Staying here instead of Manhattan offers a quieter, safer experience with a unique NYC vibe. - Private Bathroom in Dorms: A big plus! Hot showers had great pressure, and the room stayed cozy even on chilly nights. -Type-C Charging Points: A big plus! As an international traveler, having Type-C USB ports, even at the bed socket, made charging hassle-free without needing a power converter—super convenient! - Bar/Café: Affordable options open until 11 pm—very convenient. - Workspaces: Chill seating areas with charging points, ideal for working and socializing. - Thoughtful Extras: Free welcome coffee and drink added a warm touch. - No Deposit Hassle: No upfront deposit, just card details, which was budget-friendly.

Though I loved this Hostel, here are my suggestions on what could be improved: - No Lift: Carrying luggage up one floor was manageable but could be challenging for some. - Kitchen Cleanliness: The kitchen could be cleaner and better stocked; cups were often scarce, requiring trips to the bar for coffee. - Bathroom Size: The private bathroom was a bit cramped—extra space would enhance comfort. - Key Card Issue: My key card stopped working mid-stay and needed reactivation, which was slightly inconvenient. - Dorm Privacy: Adding bed curtains would improve privacy and create a pod-like feel. - Bed Quality: Squeaky beds disrupted sleep whenever the person above moved—regular maintenance is needed.

Location - very close to the subway station. The street itself is a bit dodgy but that’s nothing to do with the hostel. The views from the roof are amazing. Everything was as they described in the listing. Comfortable beds, shower/toilet in the room, good bedding. The kitchen is very good too. Plenty of communal areas and a nice bar downstairs.

There is no furniture or space in the room to put your belongings on - no shelves or hooks, if you have a top bunk prepare to climb high with your phone or other bits and bobs. The street outside is noisy so we slept with our windows shut. The bathroom and shower are tiny which is fine for a slim person. The shower is literally less than a meter square, the sink is teeny-weeny too. The surfaces in the communal areas are sticky. I mean some bits around the hostel could do with a bit of TLC but overall it’s ok and a good base in NYC.

Staff was friendly and helpful, gave lots of local recommendations. We stayed in private room with its own bathroom and everything was perfectly clean. There was one coffee/drink complimentary with the room key slip. Kitchen space could be utilized as required and many board games in social areas around the reception. They also organize various events, definitely should check out if you’re staying in for the day. Location was good, metro station was some 10 min walking distance.

Walls are incredibly thin so all the noise from other rooms, hallway, social areas and even outside comes through. If you’re tired enough, it won’t disturb your sleep.

comfortable common spaces such as tables downstairs, kitchen, and the bar (especially when people in your room are already/still sleeping), roof terrace with a view (though it was not so usable in winter), 5 min walking distance from SUBWAY. The room was small, nevertheless had a small toilet and bathroom.

The neighbourhood at first sight was terrifying... especially when you arrive when it is already night. I didn't feel safe at the beggining, but on my 3rd day I felt comfortable on the streets. AC in the room was quite loud and constantly switching on/off, so the noise was inconsistent. The shower had only 1 knob - you had to start from cold water and move it to warm, no choice to stop water without going through cold (but I saw it also in another property so maybe it is US-specfic ;). curtain in our room was not able to protect the floor from getting wet. No tea/coffe cups in the common kitchen, luckily I had my own. No lift, only long stairs.

Nice roommates, comfortable common spaces such as tables downstairs, kitchen, and the bar (especially when people in your room are already/still sleeping), a laundry facility, nice atmosphere and friendly staff, roof terrace with a view (though it was not so usable in winter), 5 min walking distance from the metro station and pleasant neighborhood with supermarkets and restaurants.

The AC in the room was quite loud and constantly switching on/off, so the noise was inconsistent. Plus sometimes loudly snoring roommates, so earplugs are very much advised! Kitchen supplies such as pans were mostly old and scratched. No tea/coffee cups in the kitchen - had to ask them at the bar every time. The room space was quite small - it gets cramped in all 4 people are awake and doing something. The shower curtain in our room was not able to protect the floor from getting wet.

The location is excellent - just 6 minutes of walk from the nearest metro station. Also the staff is very friendly and helpful.

Not much things to do - good for the short stay. Also, my bed was right in front of Air condition, therefore, I felt a lot of cold during the night. Hotel management needs to place the bed in such a way that it should not be in front of the Air Condition.

We stayed in the private room with bathroom. The room was clean, a little small but sufficient for a city trip, everything was clean (only the towels had some stains but well, it's a hostel after all). The location is great, metro station nearby and just one stop to Manhattan. There are also great restaurant/café options next to the Hostel and within a 10-15 min walk you reach a lovely park with a bombastic view on Manhattan. The roof terrace was also really nice with great views and even a jazz concert on one evening. All in all really good option to stay when you come to New York and don't want to spend a fortune for accommodation.

I think because I stayed during the week it was much more calmer and older environment with less people in our room, which I enjoyed. On Thursday, when I left, it started to fill up more with a younger crowd. Really cool and comfortble main sitting areas including a full service bar by nigh and small cafe by day, large tv and movie watching area with comfortbale couches, desk area in case you need to work during you stay, and finally a really cool rooftap area with a lot of space and good views of the city. I actually really enjoyed the location. Although we were not in Manhattan we were so close to it the entire time and could get anywhere with the subway. Plenty close enough to the East River. Subway Stop just 3 minute walk from the front door. Neighborhood was ehh because of all the mechanics but a bit further down there was a cool park area with good food and drink options right there. Again we didnt have too many roomates in a 6 person dorm, but the people we did get to meet were cool.

Mattress was a bit small, unsupportive, and loud tbh. There were some old occupants items there that were clearly left. Shower room was tight but the issue was that the shower curtain could not close well enough to not soack the entirety of the room for which there is not drain so it just pools in the room for when you get out of the shower. I'm not sure a solution for that, but it was kinda annoying. Maybe get a bath mat of some sort and make sure to change it out every once in a while with the towels and beds.

It was one of the best hostels I've ever been. The bed was very comfortable, and the whole room was great, including the private bathroom. The location was great, just about 3-5 walking minutes from the closest metro station (which attends many subway lines - including one straight to JFK), and you'll be in mid-town Manhattan in about 15-20 min. It's also a very quiet neighborhood so the city noise did not bother me at all. The staff was very friendly and they helped me with a package I had to receive and were very proactive and helpful around the whole process. Overall, it's definitely a place I recommend and would like to stay again when I'm back in NY.

The only thing I missed was having a small shelf or a phone hanger near the beds, so we could leave our electronics charging through the night. Some things fell from my bed while I was sleeping, so it would be good to have a place to put them next time. I believe something like that would also be helpful in the bathroom, so we would have a table or shelf to leave small bags while we're using the sink, and one in the shower as well, since there's only a small bench outside of the shower box at the movement.
