Its really good place for the good Money. Close to two stops of subway. Little shop downstairs was appreciated.

As expected its right next to train station, so pretty loud. Doors to our room were not really “lightproof” so at night there was light coming from the hallway right to bed. Also nobody probably checked some of the food in little shop, i bought muffin and it was really moldy(which i found out in the room after i opened it).

Nice room, clean and comfortable. Convenient small store at the entrance. Easy check in and check out. Close to Manhattan by metro.

Quite a bit to walk to the next metro station in a not so nice area. Not ideal if someone wants to have a quick stop at the hotel during the day

My recent four-night stay at the Feather Factory Hotel in New York City exceeded my expectations and left me thoroughly impressed. This boutique hotel truly delivered an exceptional experience that perfectly suited our needs. Location-wise, the Feather Factory Hotel struck a great balance between accessibility and tranquility. The 15-minute train ride followed by a 10-minute walk from Manhattan was incredibly convenient, making it a breeze to explore the city while still enjoying a quieter, more relaxed atmosphere away from the bustling streets. We booked two rooms for three people, and while one of the beds was a bit small for two adults, it would be perfect for a couple. The rooms were well-appointed with a fridge, table, and chair, ensuring we had everything we needed for our stay. The standout feature of this hotel, however, was the exceptional staff. They went above and beyond to assist us throughout our stay, particularly when helping us set up a Citi Bike account for our urban adventures. The housekeeping staff was also outstanding, offering their assistance daily and ensuring our rooms were kept in impeccable condition. The option to use the luggage hold on our last day was greatly appreciated and made our departure hassle-free. The hotel's thoughtful amenities further added to the overall positive experience. The availability of free water, ice, and a variety of hot drinks in the lobby, along with a microwave for guest use, made it easy to grab a quick refreshment. Additionally, the on-site convenience store catered to the needs of both guests and locals, as we observed some construction workers making use of it during our stay. In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend the Feather Factory Hotel. Its incredible staff, affordable pricing, and comfortable rooms more than met our needs. One of the room didn't have a counter in the bathroom. The staff left open the window after cleaning but it was quite hot but we like the heat.

Very comfy bed, good size room for two people. The room was clean and the breakfast was good! The staff was really helpful; I was really sick on departure day, and they let me do a late checkout until I leave for my flight. Good alternative to super expensive Manhattan hotels, only a few stops from Grand Central. Thank you!

The location isn't great (15min walk from Subway), but at the same time well connected to a few stations/lines. The room where you could find the safe/iron etc. could be converted to a wardrobe, as there was very little space for us to store our clothes etc. so we had to leave everything in our large suitcases.

Clean room and great value!

The facilities and rooms are very modern despite the building being a bit old. The rooms are a very good size and everything was very clean. The location is about a 6 minute walk to the nearest subway station which is convenient. There are plenty of great restaurants, bars and diners in Long Island City which is a ~20 minute walk from the hotel. The reception staff were always friendly. We had a ring accidently dropped down the sink and the staff went above and beyond in helping us retrieve it. I would recommend Feather Factory without hesitation to anyone who wants to visit New York City

Nothing was lacking. However, the location can feel a little isolated if walking back late at night. In any case, we did not encounter any issue or feel unsafe at any point.

Great hotel for the value. Staff was very nice. The little marketplace/pantry store exceeded my expectations. Paying for the breakfast options is well worth it for the freshly made waffles/pancakes and eggs/omelettes alone. If you're looking to be walking distance to your "typical" NY city blocks flourishing with shops and restaurants soon as you step out your hotel, then look elsewhere. But if you're looking for a great place to lay your head for a great price and don't mind walking to subway station or taking Uber/Lyft, then here you go.

It may not feel like it for people unaccustomed to New York prices (which is most of us on the planet), but this is a low-cost hotel. And on that basis, we were quite happy with it. Yes, there were buckets in the corridor catching drips during heavy rain, but the room was dry and the friendly staff happily provided extra blankets. Yes, it’s next to a major rail line, but the sound insulation is good and we found the distant rumble charming. We especially liked the value for money, and the breakfasts are good!

The air con/heating was a bit noisy (hence the request for extra blankets), and the room quite small, but those were no bother really. The one thing that bugged us a bit was that the mattress had a tendency to slide off the base if there was any (ahem!) movement.

The rooms were very clean and spacious. The beds were comfortable and big enough. The view from the windows was amazing. The breakfast is all you need. They also offer free hot tea all day in the reception. We had a very pleasant stay.

It is a little bit far from the metro stations, because you have to walk the bridges.

No carpet, clean and comfortable. Small but was okay with us. We liked it and it was in a good area. Close to subway. Loved the shampoo and conditioner. I added picture of our view. Our friends had a room in the front, they had a nice view. We would come back here.

No hand rails in bathroom. Tub was slippery, my husband fell in the tub. His feet slipped out from under him. When he told them they place a tub mat in while we were out for the day. Breakfast was just okay. Turkey sausage was dry and hard to cut, turkey bacon not close to tasting like bacon. Fresh fruit and yogurt was good.
