We loved this lodge and the convenience to the casino was great! This place immediately upon walk in smelled and looked great and we were welcomed with friendly smiles. The check in was a smooth process and we quickly were given our keys and off to the room which was clean and looked very nice. The beds were so comfy, I wish I could have took the bed home it was the best sleep I have had in a very long time. We had a spa room and the spa baths were very clean and you could smell the bleach from cleaning which is a huge bonus to know it is properly cleaned especially the jets. I love this place and I plan to come back in the future soon. I am hoping they make breakfast a little more pleasing and warm foods would be a great addition.

The only complaint I have is there is no hot breakfast options. You can choose from cereal, oatmeal you have to make, breads and muffin assortment, and yogurt. They do however have waffle makers. I just wish breakfast would have been warm foods.

The hotel is clean and well-maintained and the entire staff was friendly, fun, and helpful. The location was convenient and easy to find, and the Internet connection was (mostly) strong enough for me to work from the room all week. The bed was comfy (the mattress was a good balance of soft and firm) and the fridge and microwave came in handy during the week.

No sheer curtains on the windows. I was on the first floor and felt a bit exposed with the curtains open, but I wanted daylight. The rooms aren't very soundproof, so if you're a light sleeper (or hate hearing footsteps overhead) you may have issues sleeping. There was also a construction crew staying there (working at the casino up the road) the same week and they were super loud in the morning and evenings.

It was a great spot and within walking distance of what I wanted to do there. The staff was very friendly and breakfast was good :-)

I am not oblivious to where I am in the world, especially when I travel, and I understand the location of Murphy, NC - However, regardless of where I am on the political spectrum, I don't think it is in good taste to blast Fox News throughout the entire entrance and breakfast area (or any other news network - CNN, MSNBC, etc.). Why not sports, or a nature channel for the kids? We are surrounded by politics all the time - this was my break from the world and I ate breakfast in my room.

Absolutely exceeded our expectations. We just kept saying how happy we were staying there. Our time spent was 4 nights of complete comfort. The lobby had such a warm and cozy feeling, like home. The front desk staff were all kind and engaging... actually, very nice and funny, they could not have been more accommodating. The room was large and very well appointed. The wet bar was a Bonus, and gave lots of extra space for our needs. The bathroom was also large, we were never cramped when trying to use the sink and counter at the same time. We will definitely be back.

Location is great for the casino and local restaurants. Always a great stay. Quiet and comfortable. Safe location. Great staff. Great all around stay.

The views were beautiful for sunrise and sunset. The staff were super friendly and the lodge itself was comfortable, clean, and the decor was so pretty. The complimentary breakfast they offered had several options which my husband and I enjoyed every morning. Cannot recommend this place for lodging enough.

We always like how friendly they are when we check in and if we need anything. The bathroom was wonderful, the room was so nice and we loved the view. Loved how they had coffee, tea and even hot chocolate in the lobby if we needed it at any time. We will definitely be back!

Only issue was just the moisture smell in the room when we come in to it everytime. The pillows were a little too soft.

Other guests at the hotel were not the greatest. Our floor wreaked of marijuana, along with people smoking weed in the partying lot. Another guest was driving extremely fast and careless through the parking lot. Staff was just as frustrated as we were but there was not much staff could do.

Clean. Nice breakfast but could have used some protein. Attendants were always super helpful and accommodating. Especially the lady that oversaw the breakfast. She took a personal interest in her work and it showed. I wish I could remember her name. Please give her kudos for me. Early morning conversations with her made the stay that much more special.

Nothing really negative. Met all of our needs.
