I loved that outside of our room there was beautiful landscaping and tables and chairs to sit out of a morning or evening. The dining area was decorated very nice and the setting made you feel special as well as the incredible staff . They served complimentary wine, coffee , tea and cookies. The morning breakfast was always delicious.

I imagined the property to be a little more remote as opposed to right on the street. But they did a good job of planting trees to add to the feel of being more secluded, however you could still hear the road noise while outdoors.

The gardens are beautiful. The room was nice as well. The dining room was also lovely and I enjoyed the breakfast, chocolate chip cookies and a a glass of wine were all great.

The property is not in a great location, just outside of town by a couple of garages. There was a surprising number of sirens while I was there. I had hoped to get out for a walk or two, but it didn’t feel like a great area to go about on foot.

The courtyard with its diverse and beautifully landscaped gardens and private sitting areas was superb! Breakfast cooked to order (included) was excellent.

Room #28 was quaint and clean. However, the bathroom layout was awkward and the toilet was literally tucked under the sink. I am 6’ and 240lb and I could not sit on it to do my business. Also, the noise from the busy street was a bit annoying while we sitting enjoying the courtyard garden.

It is such a quaint place. It snowed while we were there and it looked like winter wonderland. The main house is so beautiful inside. Breakfast is served there and they have a marvelous selection of self-serve items on the buffet, plus you may order from their menu. All inclusive.

We couldn't get our room temp to where we liked. Turned it down to 61 to sleep and still ended up kicking off the covers! Would rather have that problem than the reverse.

Breakfast was very good - diverse and made to order. Beautiful dining area, especially on a sun filled morning.

would have preferred a jacuzzi tub but the standard rooms (the best value price available) had showers only. Not sure if it was the Wolfgang Puck coffee or the water used from the bathroom sink, but the in-room coffee was not very palatable. There were a few bottles of water in the fridge, that might have been a better option to use in the coffee making.

Loved the garden setting, the morning breakfast menu, food was excellent, complimentary wine and chocolate chip cookies are a very nice treat as well. Nice patio table and chairs outside for hanging out and relaxing.

Our room wasn't anything like the photo, old carpeting, room had musty smell, beds were not comfortable, no full length mirror or dresser. Found two spiders in the room. I was there with my daughter and grandsons so that made it not as much fun as it should have been.

Breakfast was great, staff was very friendly. The garden/ outside areas were beautiful. The rooms were not fancy, but clean. Price was great.

The bathroom vanity/ toilet area was cramped. I wish there were more towel bars or hooks for wet towels. The shower is quite large, but there was no shelf for soap/ shampoo in the shower.

The location, the charm, and the lovely staff. Beds were so comfortable, room was large enough for us to visit with folks, access to out door space was so convenient. One if thebmost lovely memories were mornings spent in the inn dining area...sobprovence and food was delicious.

There was not a thing that could be improved on. Well, loving coffee like I do, adding an upgraded coffee with their lovely bread and pastries would just be wonderful!

The beautiful garden landscape, the comfortable setting. The friendliness of the staff and the breakfast unlike any other accommodations. The special menu to order from with so many other options, fruits, oatmeal, cereal, etc.

The sound of traffic when sitting out in the patio areas, however, it wasn't an issue when sleeping.

We were passing through town and wanted to see a bit of Small Town Ohio. The Mt Vernon Inn was WAY nicer than we expected. Its just a lovely little place in a small town, where aesthetics (e.g. the garden, the breakfast room) really matter and it is such a nice break from the routine, exactly-the-same hotel you see across the country. If you need to be in Mt. Vernon, definitely give this place a try. Wonderful service, excellent breakfast and we will definitely be back whenever we pass this way. Bravo, Mt. Vernon Inn.
