Checkin was great and bellhops very helpful and friendly. Parking garage needs an attendant or else it’s no better than parking on the dangerous streets.

Staff was wonderful with the exception of the Driftwood staff- who were bored and grumbly, especially the server (who I overheard describe himself as “lowly backbar guy). Did absolute minimum. Also the dozen oysters we ordered (no info about where they were from or what kind) contained half inedible huge ones which were hard to choke down- we left 4 of them. The only time these two guys perked up was when a single woman sat at the bar and was mildly friendly to them, and then the guys sat down next to her and in front of her fawning. Gross and would have preferred if they spent their time giving us water and asking how our expensive cocktails and $150 meal was. Not the Driftwood of old sadly.

The breakfast was a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT. It kind of ruined the experience. When I booked the room it said breakfast included, so I assumed it was at the restaurant. For almost $300 you couldn't throw in a couple of eggs and some toast? I was being seated and mentioned I was a guest. Good thing...I was unseated and told to wait. Where? In the entryway. I stood there like a beggar watching people eat for fully 5 minutes. Two other wait staff actually asked if I needed help. It was embarrassing. When the fellow returned he said "Sorry, I was cutting up some fresh fruit for you, and handed me my sad little box to take. This fib was apparent when I opened it in my room. That fruit was some old, dry pale watermelon and a couple of grapes. There was a day old pastry that looked sat upon. And some extremely stale granola. The place is so elegant and beautiful..the tacky breakfast was 😟

I love your hotel, that's why I returned, but it's obvious you are cutting corners( big plastered but unpainted hole in the wall under the curtain). Remember you are selling a glamorous experience! It would be better if you did not say breakfast was included, and then throw it in when guests arrive like an extra nice thing. Set up a little table, don't make people have to ask and wait for a little doggy bag box. Don't put out paper and styrofoam cups, plastic stir straws. Keep it classy.

The room was very spacious with windows looking out two directions, with a desk and outlets for hooking up my laptop. the staff were very friendly and easy-going, answered all questions. Very easy check-in and check-out. We were able to have a leisurely breakfast on our last morning with plenty of time to check out by 12:30. Having a doorman to pen the front door when we arrived with luggge was very nice. We liked the "no pressure" attitude of the staff. Even the cleaning staff greeted us every day! We also are movie buffs and loved all the Hollywood photos on practically every wall. We had fun identifying the big photo in the parlor that changed periodically.

Love the boutique and old Hollywood vibe of the hotel! Room was lovely, spacious, and the beds were soooo comfortable! Our room had a walk-in shower which was perfect for my elderly mother who was traveling with us.

The use of the disabled persons elevator was not convenient as is was not self-operational and someone had to constantly run up or down to the front desk and as for assistance for our elderly mother traveling with a walker.

customer service was amazing!

It wasn’t as Luxurious as the pictures make it seem. The rooms have an old faint smell and furniture is cheap and uncomfortable. Bathroom is mediocre.

easy walk location for providence park events (our purpose). restaurants and coffee nearby. inside hotel restaurant/bar. valet or self parking option. charm of interior lobby and aesthetics as well as decor throughout. rooms are older (building) and smaller sized as historic hotels often have -but more than adequate amenities (including little refrig), blackout curtains and well lit bathrooms and nightstands. Beds and pillows comfy. we had a quiet upper floor away from elevator. we were near the light rail side but it doesn’t run overnite. staff nice and helpful.

Being an older facility, sound can carry but we were fine in our location so no complaints.

We requested a top floor corner room and got one…..so very quiet and overlooked the area into the west hills. The room was tastefully decorated, clean, and the bed was comfortable. Great speedy elevators too. gracy’s,the restaurant, has wonderful high ceilings and chandeliers, great half booths, and interesting choices.

Not a thing

We loved the driftwood bar and Gracie's. The hotel is very cool.the room was spacious and the staff are awesome.

It was pretty warm in the hotel room and the AC was central air and would not go any lower. The rooms need a bit of updating. The couch in the studio has an ugly cover on it, you can tell that the walls have had some touch up paint and it was slightly the wrong color. The chromecast, which are a great idea, we're not working properly. Just minor things that a hotel of this nature should be a little better about.

I like that the fitness center was more than a treadmill and a yoga mat. The bed was comfortable. The rooms were nice and clean. I liked that, contrary to the streets of PDX, there were no piles of poop on the floor.

I didn't like the idea of the "mandatory amenities fee" -- for real, just roll that into the price. Keeping that fee separate seemed skeevy. It would have been nicer if the fitness center had larger dumbbells. I didn't like having to go to the fitness center to get free, filtered water. The $7 bottles of water in the room were...well...$7 for a bottle of water? C'mon.

The old Hollywood tribute/style was so charming. The décor was very lovely and the light in the room was excellent. It's a very lovely hotel.

There is a restaurant on the premises that we thought we could walk up to have breakfast, but that was not the case at all. You definitely need a reservation for Gracie's. It would have been helpful upon check-in to know that a reservation is needed.
