I'm not sure I can say enough about the quality of our experience with our stay at this hotel. I have to say it's the best by far hotel experience that I can remember. From the facility, decor, and ambiance to the the most incredible staff and management I've ever dealt with it's off the charts. They have earned my family's business forever. This property spends it's budget on the important things that matter and they definitely understand that it's all in the details. We stayed on a weekend and decided to come back through Portland the next weekend so I texted Matt the general manager to inquire as to whether or not they could accommodate us on short notice. He immediately got back to me saying that they were at capacity but for us not to worry. He guaranteed they would figure something out. We walked in to the lobby and I was immediately greeted by the staff by name and informed that our rooms were ready and incredibly they were the exact same room numbers as the weekend before. What these people are best at is underpromising and over delivering! I could go on and on but I don't want anybody to think I'm on the payroll but these guys are for real!
There is nothing that we didn't like.

Hotel Lucia exceeded our expectations in terms of facilities and staff. The minute you enter the lobby you know you are in a special, boutique hotel. The decor is beautiful yet fun, and the extra amenities like complimentary drinks, old school arcade games, board games, books etc. are all greatly appreciated. The rooms are equally beautiful and comfortable. What really made our stay wonderful was the friendly staff - they were always super helpful and accommodating especially when our flight was delayed for a couple hours. They held our luggage, let us hang out in the lounge and even let us participate in the evenings free drinks even though we had already checked out!
Everything about the hotel is wonderful but guests should be aware that the location in downtown Portland is not the nicest area. However, safety and security at the hotel is exceptional and we would still highly recommend staying here. The location might be better for those that are driving around Portland instead of walking.

From the moment we arrived, we felt taken care of. It was a last-minute plan to get away without the kids and celebrate our birthdays that had passed without much fanfare. Life gets busy! There was a cute token of appreciation waiting in our room to say Happy Birthday from the staff. The night manager, valet, and porter were attentive to our every need. The next day, we borrowed a couple of bikes, and upon the recommendation of more excellent staff, we took off to explore the City of Roses. We checked out a Craft Beer festival, the Waterfront Blues festival, and plenty of history and architecture. The nightly happy hour, a handaome variety of board games, old-time pinball machines, live entertainment, and photographic art show throughout the hotel were some of the highlights. Now, the bed and linens were super comfy, the temperature well regulated, blackout curtains, housecoats and slippers, ice bin and bottle opener, TV, and coffee maker made the room nice and cozy as well as an actual closet to lay out your luggage and hang up your clothes. Did I mention the safe and the fridge? Thanks for a wonderful stay - We will definitely come back!
Well...the bathroom has no fan, and thankfully we were familiar with each other so being able to hear what was happening in the bathroom was easily mitigated by turning on the TV, or going out to the lobby for ice 😉 . I was skeptical of the glass shelves in the bathroom, but they proved to be sturdy. Maybe a tiny upgrade for a cabinet would be an idea if it was in the budget. Oh...the bikes were super fun, but being 5'2", I found I was pedaling on my tippy toes and was a bit tender not being able to lower the seat. 🤭 We borrowed a Well Kit, but unfortunately, it was missing the tablet with the workouts. I was still able to get a couple of yoga workouts in the comfort of my room. Cleaner was supplied to sanitize for the next guest.

Everything was really good. It's a beautiful old hotel with a great location. Nicely decorated with a cool playroom and gym.. staff very nice. Free coffee and tea in the morning. Clean. Only our room was a bit small for our taste, and also a noise from flushing the toilet in our room but also the rooms around us, was really loud. We parked across the hotel, street parking is free from 7pm till 8am. Around the hotel, like in all downtown, a lot of junkies and homeless people, stinks horribly in almost every street.. not dangerous, just really sad for a beautiful city to end up like that.

The rooms and common areas were incredibly clean and tastefully decorated. The complimentary bikes were well maintained and a lovely addition that allowed us to explore more of Portland than we ever could have on foot! Happy hour and all the available games (board games and old school arcade games) also really added to the positive experience! Hotel Lucia staff were no less than FREAKING AMAZING. They were friendly, knowledgeable, always upbeat and eager to help in any way. They made us feel like we were friends/family. Unparalleled service for sure! Thank you so much for the incredible experience. We are so grateful that we chose Hotel Lucia for our trip to Portland. We can’t sing enough praises to this hotel and her people and will DEFINITELY be back!

Staff were particularly friendly and efficient. Valet parking worked well. Nice artwork and vintage camera collection in the lobby. We had a corner room on the 6th floor that was clean, quiet and comfortable and had great city views. Bed was lovely and firm with nice linens. Only coffee was provided, but there were nice places for breakfast nearby. We especially enjoyed St Honore Boulangerie. We also found great restaurants for dinner within walking distance.
Bathroom is tiny but well-designed. Shower head was a little funky.

Excellent in every which way! Friendly and efficient staff, clean and comfortable room, and great location. The lobby was super comfortable with lots of places to sit. We arrived right at happy hour and received a complimentary beer/cider. All around great vibe. We will definitely return during our next trip to Portland!
Well, this is more difficult to answer. I guess I felt the cost to park was a bit steep. $55 is a lot of money. I get that it costs the hotel to keep a private garage and all, but $35 would have been a price that seemed reasonable.

Great location, charming facilities, parking easy, within walking distance of attractions, restaurants, culture. It's clean, quiet, safe and eclectic.
I missed having the restaurant on the premise. I understand the chef retired...to bad. I tried the room service options, but apparently, I was not in the correct time frame for service. Used the AI concierge to make reservations at Janken and the reservation wasn't received by the restaurant....fortunately, they seated us anyway. Paige was very helpful with other matters though.

Loved how the hotel reached out to me early on to ask if I needed anything for my hotel stay. Very cool. They upgraded my room the same day before I arrived with my 4 year old. Loved the interior of the lobby and hotel room space. The hotel is super close to the Powell bookstore, Nordstrom, and Target. Plenty of yummy coffee and bakeries nearby too.
I didn’t like driving around three times to park and get valet help. I had to call the front desk and ask about valet. I double parked and was able to finally get help from the front desk. Extremely stressful and something I’m not use to when I go to hotels.
